      Morning all

Lovely and sunny here too and feels much fresher than yesterday. We had thunder rumbling all afternoon, then a huge electrical storm yesterday evening which caused a powercut. That was unfortunate as the dogs are scared of thunder, especially Kai, and we had no 'noise' to try and drown it out a bit. Thankfully power came back this morning.

Hope everyone has a great day.

      Aloha everyone,

Another hot and sunny day today. Sprinkler is on.

Rabbit numbers are depleted (hopefully sufficiently) but having trouble with crows! We don't mind them in the garden but they have now decided that they have competition from the ones that they can see in the reflection of the French doors on the summerhouse! They're pooing all over the paving underneath, on the mat and all over the doors. They seem to be jumping up and down pecking and spitting at the glass or standing on the door handles and making a mess all over the glass.

I'll just do a little bit of pottering before I go out and I've started putting photos on 'what's looking good...' - which takes time.

Keep well (Steve, keep out of the sun! :nonofinger:) and have a great day

      Aloha!

Shiney, I am not surprised about the crows they are rampant here! Amber goes out and hustles them but I do not think they are that perturbed. Have a good evening all, God bless.

Morning all, hope you are well.

      No work again today :frown:.

Still have a headache from the heat stroke, if it continues I had best go to the doc's.

      Have a great day.

Steve, that doesn't sound good. Have you tried diarolyte (sp) or similar rehydrating stuff as sunstroke can you leave you dehydrated, thus causing the headaches?

Looks like it's going to be another lovely day here. Really must try and cut the grass today if it's not too hot.

Sending lots of good wishes to all - hope it's a wonderful day for you.

        Aloha everyone,

Steve, rehydrating is essential in these circumstances. If you're having a well balanced diet then you should only need to have a lot of water, but if your diet isn't particularly good you need to do what Eve has said.

The body finds it easier to absorb warm water (not hot) and tea or coffee are not sufficient because of the diuretic effects of them. Try to drink at least a litre of warm water in the early morning and continue to drink water regularly through out the day. :blue thumb: Plan your route to be near a toilet at regular intervals :heehee:.

The crow (I think it's only one of them but they all look alike to me :snork:) has now started bashing on the house windows - at 4 a.m. in the morning :hate-shocked:. Mrs Shiney is not a happy bunny! He may have to have the rabbit treatment!

The garden is definitely suffering from the heat, and no rain, so it's getting the rehydration treatment. Sprinkler is already on.

Yesterday we received our third invitation within a week to 80th birthday celebrations! :old::ccheers:

Stay cool and have a great day

        Aloha!

Morning to Steve, L-I-F, Shiney and everyone.
Steve I would definitely go to the doctors if you still have that headache, too much sun can do funny things to you so best to be safe than sorry.
          Have a good day everyone.

          Thanks all for the advice.

Despite outward appearances, my diet is pretty good, plenty of fresh fruit and veg. I should maybe take on more water, as I shall be at home today (unless I get a last minute call) will try and drink lots more (being out on the road can have it's disadvantages :yikes: ).

Off to get a pint now...............................

          Of warm water :heehee:

            Good morning everyone,

Steve, also try when you get chance to sit quietly with your head back and well supported, sometimes when I get a headache it's more related to my neck...just a thought....take it easy:thumbsup:...

Shiney...I wonder if that crow thinks it's found a girlfriend but it's actually it's own reflection:rolleyespink:...

Beautiful morning here:SUNsmile: I'm supposed to be preparing a picnic for me and my brother,we're going for a ride to a garden /nursery near York but I've got distracted watching a young Blackbird pestering its Dad for food but he's trying to show him how to do it for himself,Dad looks like he's getting cross:old:....
Mum and Dad were going to come to the Garden/nursery too but they're staying home to Dog and chook sit as it's too warm for them plus the tennis is on and you don't get much sense out of Mum and Dad when that's on:heehee:....

Waves to all, have a lovely day and take care:SUNsmile:

            Good Morning all,

Another hot one today. I did soak my garden last night so it should be ok. Must go and open up the greenhouse so the tomatoes do not wilt.

Steve, you take care of yourself. Obviously overdone the sun. I cannot take it.

Take care everyone and have a good day, God bless. :wub2:

He already has a partner :blue thumb: so I think he sees the one in the glass as a rival. He sounds angry enough and is pecking extremely hard.
