      Get better soon @moyra :grphg:

We got a bit more done on project shed (will post photos in the other thread shortly), but ended up calling it a day for a number of reasons:

      1. Both of us were pretty much burnt to a crisp, and simply could not stand any more sun
      2. Both of us were knackered and getting cranky
      3. My glass back and glass joints let the side down - my ankle gave way under me and landed me in a heap on top of two of the new roof panels which now have a few dents for their trouble
      4. Both of us are up early for work in the morning
      5. We are hungry - time for a shower and dinner
      6. Did I mention that we were burnt stupid?? :help:
      7. Its Sunday - enough is enough.
Dinner and Bacardi time beckon - I just hope that the alcohol vapour doesn't self-ignite with the heat from my neck and shoulders.

          Good morning everyone,

          Moyra...hope you had a better night,keep taking the fluids:grphg:...

Steve...All the best for today, hope you have a good one:thumbsup:...

Hasn't it been a lovely weekend:SUNsmile:...bit too warm for me dare I say but it's lovely to see that Summer has finally reached us:blue thumb:
I got lots of jobs done in the garden and GH so now feel like I've made some progress, you should have seen the snails I collected in my veg patch, they'd eaten all my carrots that were in containers so they've been emptied and moved as they just seemed to be a good hiding place :rolleyespink:....The garden is looking quite nice now apart from it's time I cut back the hardy Geraniums,I don't like that that job because it makes the garden look bare ,there's still a few flowers left on them which the Bees love so i'll leave it a bit longer,I always put that job off ....

Work this morning so that'll keep me out of mischief ...

Have a lovely day everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

            Aloha everyone,

Moyra, I hope you're feeling better this morning :grphg:

Steve, good luck with the job :blue thumb:. Try not to make the last person who did your job look too incompetent :heehee:. Save that for next week. :loll:

This morning is the first class of a new series of advanced classes that I'm teaching. The last lot went so well that I've had to repeat it, by popular demand :)

I haven't done a great deal in the garden over the weekend as it was too hot and I had all the cooking to get done. Got some paperwork done as well.

I've looked at the weather map for this area and it shows a rain cloud running all round Shineyland but not arriving overhead. We need the rain so I hope it drifts this way.

I'm getting carnivorous withdrawal symptoms after a weekend of vegetarianism so may buy some rack of lamb or some roasting beef. It's usually at a reduced price on Mondays in the supermarkets

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

              Morning all

Hot and sunny again, so lots of watering needed. Will be working in the shady bits today as, though I can stand the heat, I can't cope with the sun beating down on me.

Good luck with your first day in the new job, Steve, though I'm sure you won't need it.

Hope the classes are as succesful as your previous ones Shiney.

How are you feeling today Moyra? You've had a bad time of it lately so wishing you better soon.

              Have a great day everyone.

              Good Morning everyone,

Steve , Good luck in the new job.

Shiney hope you get the rain you want because then it is likely we shall too, although having said that I have some washing in the machine but that can go under the gazebo.

Fat Controller, hope you didn't overdo things yesterday certainly sounds like you might have.

Loli, you snail cruncher you. Lol what do you do with them when you collect them.

Hope everyone else is ok, do take it easy today. I have had another bad night it is definitely the tramdol withdrawal. Now I left the a out of that and the spelling corrector put it back so I had to take out again or it will not post. I am going to have to take some ibuprofen I think as I have a headache too now. Have a good day all. God bless. :wub2:

WOO, thanks dear. Have taken any antihistamine for your hayfever? that's what you need.

My back garden is a hive of industry! Steve is surpassing himself. The other week I got some feed and weed and we did all the back lawn areas. Consequently it left lots of patches where the moss died off. So after watering all the garden, he asked me to go buy some seed to do the patches with. In the meantime while I was off searching for seed down at Tescos he covered the patches with sand and then when I came back with the seed he has now seeded and top soiled the patches and watered it in. I shall have to go out and water my lovely roses that are blooming well in the front garden border once he has finished with the hose.
              Have a good afternoon

@moyra I would appear to have pushed things much further than I should have. Mrs C is getting me some aftersun today, which I will apply after a cool shower later and hopefully that will take some of the rawness out of it.

                Evening all.

Everything went smoothly, first day in my new job. First few hours spent with the Regional Manager on induction (lots of paper filling in, and forms to sign), getting email and software set up, being introduced to other members of staff, getting the filing system in my head etc, etc...

Looking forward to day 2, hopefully I can get stuck in and start to clear the backlog........

Cya in the morning dear friends.

                Sleep tight, and sweet dreams........:snooze:

                Aloha everyone,

Steve, it's good to hear that everything went OK :blue thumb:

Warning: they say that porridge is good for you and I have some every morning but yesterday morning, whilst stirring my porridge, my neck and back seized up! So beware of porridge!! :hate-shocked:

Mrs Shiney said that I had a couple of large knots of muscles in my back (didn't know I had an muscles :heehee:) that had spasmed. She worked on those and it has made things a bit easier but I can't bend my head or turn it to the right.

Some paracetomol made it possible for me to run my seminar and it went very well. :dbgrtmb: A lot of the people wanted me to carry on past the 1 p.m. finish but we had to be out of the hall in order to let the next hirers in.

We had some light rain yesterday. It wasn't really enough for what the garden needs but it has certainly helped a bit. Sun is shining brightly now.

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

                Morning all

Lovely sunny morning again, going to be another scorcher.

Glad it all went well Steve and hope they let you loose on the 'real work' today.

Hope your sunburn has calmed down now FC

Don't forget the anti-histamine Woo, don't want you flying into things because of streaming eyes.

Your lawn is going to look lush Moyra. Mine on the otherhand.....

Good wishes to all, and hope it's a great day for everyone.

                Good Morning Everyone,

FC, you men never learn hope the sunburn is not to bad.

Shiney, dare I ask what you have been up to cause you to get all knotted up like that. Anyway I hope after H has unknotted you, you will be ok.

WOO hope your hayfever is better today!

LIF, Eve I am afraid that lawns will only show the amount of work you put into them. If it was left to me then I am sure I couldn't have achieved what Steve has done.

Well Steve has finally got some more work so is off to Canvey Island today to make a start on a bathroom. I on the other hand am going to take things easy. Have a good day all, God bless.:wub2:
