Was that you I saw? :heehee:

        Aloha everyone,

Moyra, I hope you're feeling better this morning :grphg:

I'm back home after having been to open up the village hall for the Bank Holiday cycle race. I'm supposed to open up at 6.30 but when I got there at 6.15 there were well over 100 cyclists there already. I did the most important thing first, after unlocking, and put the tea urn on for them

I don't know how many hundred of them will be racing but it's a rather damp morning for them. I suppose it may keep some motorists off the road.

I got some of the roof weaving done for the ShineyFrame but it takes a lot of stretching upwards so only did three quarters of one frame before packing up for the day. Backache from stretching upwards makes a change from backache from bending down. :noidea: The other problem I came across was that as I was looking upwards I kept getting the sun in my eyes! When the rain eases off I get out there and carry on before the sun comes out :blue thumb:.

I've had to resort to steroid cream on my foot.

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

Morning all. Very wet here also. @Lolimac your post makes me smile. I too have loads of shoes, In fact it's an obsession. But I run around in sketchers and trainers then flip flops in summer :roflol:
Sorry to hear that you didn't get your call @Zigs ive missed a lot on here so not sure how important it was (apologies) but I hope you get it soon x

@moyra, hope the gout is under control soon. So sorry to hear it's still bothering you x

Well, my son completed the Tough Mudder in 3 hours 30 mins. He's still alive, or rather he was last night. They were camping and had plenty of beer. They must be feeling wonderful this morning, aching from head to foot, with a hangover in a damp and smelly tent with 3 mates. I'm too old for all that business. Just writing about it makes me shudder! Feel proud of the boys though, they are raising money for Help for Heroes.

My friend has gone on holiday and I'm doing shared care of her dog so I'm off out to see her soon. Will take Baldrick and hopefully tire her out! It will improve my 5x50 miles as well.

If I get a second later I will get my bark chips down now that the ground is very wet. Apparently it will keep the moisture in, or so I'm told!

Enjoy your Sunday folks. The rain is referred to as " free water" in my house as we're on a water meter. I shudder when I have to get the hose out, lol x x x

I'm not sure this is yawn yawn wakey wakey, more like night night sleepy sleepy! :heehee:
I'm so sorry I've got so behind, ive had a really crazy week, work was mad & Nora my hen hasn't been too well :frown:, I think it's crop related, she's having lots of maggots to eat & seems to be improving but then suddenly goes downhill,, anyhow I shall persevere & with some luck I hope I can make her better :fingers crossed:.
I had a good few hours in the garden yesterday, hubby finished painting the outside walls on the house :dbgrtmb:, cut the grass & did a bit of clearing up, I cleared up some loose ends & did a bit of weeding & edging. Today after a lay in & trip into bury St Edmunds to do the grocery shopping & odd bits of shopping in the town I made a start on the greenhouse, sowed some beetroot, carrots, parsnips & potted up a hanging basket & some tubs. It was lovely especially after such a busy week. I have to nip into work in the morning but hoping to be back just after lunch for more gardening & the house needs cleaning :thud:
I hope everyone's ok & life is good for you all :dbgrtmb:, I'm now going to do some catching up on here. Xx :)

Lynda..Well done to the lads:dbgrtmb: I bet they had great fun:dbgrtmb:

Beckie..That's a shame about Nora, hope she gets over her crop problem,it's an awkward one to treat.I didn't know about the maggot treatment.I must remember that one:blue thumb:I've just had a google and read to use white or young pink ones only but you'll already know that.I've tried the warm olive oil treatment syringed into the corner of the beak and then massaged the crop but turned out my Violet:chicken: had a pendulus crop so unfortunately it didn't work:sad:

Crickey did we have some rain here yesterday:phew: but then come the afternoon it was glorious and really warm, after the 'girls got a soaking they were glad of the sunshine to dry off.
