      Aloha everyone,

It looks as though we're going to have a lovely day  so must get my gardening head on.

I wonder how long it will take for the taxman to acknowledge my claim for a tax rebate. According to my figures I'm entitled to it as they have been taking tax from my pension when they shouldn't have done. :wallbanging: I'll give them a month before I start to get stroppy :heehee:

I've been looking at having a rather different sort of holiday next year and going off to see this in the foothills of the Himalayas :blue thumb:. It's a bit out of the way :noidea:

It's a bit bigger than our local parish church! :snork:

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

Good Morning all, it has stopped raining now and the sky is brightening up. Just taken Amber for her walk and she met one of her friends, little Nellie who is getting rather old and unsteady on her feet so her mum takes a pushchair around with her so when Nellie had had enough walks she gets taken home in the pushchair. Good idea, would need a big pushchair for Amber when she gets old but that wont be for a long time yet.
Have a good day everyone, God bless. :wub2:

              Good morning All,

Chilly start, hubby put the heating on for half an hour this morning, when the wind blows across the back field it gets really chilly here.
We have a gorgeous blue sky, no sign of any rain thank goodness :dbgrtmb:.
The hens don't like the wind they are popping in & out of the coop, I'd like to let them out of the run to free range but they are a bit loopy still, I don't want them flying over the fence & of course Marion is so nasty to them, if I'm not here to split them up gawd knows what she will do to them :nonofinger:
I hope you are all ok & you aren't too waterlogged from yesterday's rain.
              Enjoy your day :hapfeet:

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. I've washed my barbie-menopause-car today to be ready for a quick flip across the border for a little shopping in tbe am. Then back to work and checking out how everyone here is getting on.

Everyone here is so refreshingly nice to listen to, or is that my wine coloured glasses ..

Good day at the trust yesterday, just found out we carry on gardening thru the winter even though the house is closed to the public, so I was weeding round the Lamb's Lettuce so we'll have some winter salad :)

Head gardener has put me on a mission to find what veg would have been likely been in the garden in Thomas Hardy's time.

Next year the veg plot in the garden will only have Victorian varieties, bit of a shame as the Florence Fennel has done really well on the chalk soil.

                    Have a good day everyone:)

Good morning @CanadianLori @Zigs and everyone.
Sunny start here in WY but looks as though we could get a shower. Bailey and I are going for a long walk this morning so I hope that it can hold off.
Have a great day whatever you are doing.

                            Morning everyone and welcome Lori,

I have walked Amber in the rain, hope it is going to dry up later and we get some sunshine, otherwise this is going to a long cold winter.
Zigs, glad you will be kept busy right through the winter then. Did you sort that job out with your mate the other day?

Have a good day all, I am still so tired and could easily go back to bed now Amber is fed and walked.
                            God bless. :wub2:

                              Aloha everyone,

After a lovely sunny day yesterday we have had rain most of the night. This hasn't put a damper on my outlook as I've told the weather that it's going to clear up:SUNsmile:

I've been arranging a holiday for next year and have been negotiating the charges for using my credit card to pay for it. I prefer to pay by credit card for two reasons. The first is that it gives us Section 75 protection (if anything happens to the holiday company the credit card company becomes liable for repaying me) and my credit cad gives me cashback.

The holiday company said they would charge me 2% for using the card. So I tried negotiating with them and told them that if they can't drop the charge I'd book it through a travel agent. They got back to me and said they couldn't do it so I told them to cancel all the work they had done for me. I then phoned Trailfinders who guarantee no charges (rated the best travel agent in the country for the last few years) and I use them fairly regularly.

Unfortunately they said that the holiday I wanted is one of the only company they don't deal with. So I phoned a local travel agent (who also charge 2%) and explained the situation and said that I've done all the work but they can have the business if they drop their charge. The boss got back to me five minutes later agreeing. :dbgrtmb: They get all the commission for the booking just for waiving the charge - and they said they were very happy to do so. Watch out Bhutan, the Shineys are coming!!! :hate-shocked: :heehee:

                              Have a great day

                              Aloha!
