    Aloha everyone,

The fog was thick last night, cleared up early this morning, came back with a vengeance half an hour ago (couldn't see the trees at the bottom of the garden) and is clearing again now!

Last night we went to the local theatre group at the village hall (they're very professional and win national competitions) and they were doing an evening of radio shows, past and present. The setup was quite good. We, the audience, sat around tables (drinks in hand :ccheers:) and were the radio studio audience.

It was being run just like the real thing. The producer came out at the start and told us the do's and don'ts of what we were supposed to be doing. There were big, lighted, signs at the back of the stage saying 'On Air' and 'Applause' that we had to pay attention to. We mustn't eat noisy things, like crisps, but could laugh whenever we liked.

They did two programmes. The 'past' one was a 'Hancock's Half Hour' from 1955 and the 'present' was a fairly recent 'Claire In The Community'. Both were excellent, the sound effects were good (made from a table at the side of the stage) and the only sound effect not made on the spot was of the background noise of a school playground for the modern show. For that they had recorded the kids at the village school. :blue thumb:

    Another busy day today.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

            Good Morning All,

The weather is so horrible, we've got very thick fog & it's wet & slippery everywhere, this is the type of autumn day which I really detest! At least it's not cold, although having said that cold & bright to me would be better than this!

We had a really busy weekend, I've achieved a lot but there still seems to be a lot in my to do list, I'm soldiering on! :paladin:

I haven't achieved much in the garden, only a bit of leaf clearing! :autlvs:

I hope you are all ok? & I hope you all have a bright sunny afternoon.

            Enjoy your day folks :grphg:

Yesterday I spent a lot of time up on a ladder because when I first ran all the wires from my solar panels into the greenhouses or down to the cellar to a battery and back out, and so on - I did not label them  so spent three hours getting that done and today in between going to two different suppliers, I will be checking the voltages to make sure I didn't muck something up.
Also got to try to find time to pick up the people carrier I bought last week.
It is a beautiful sunny day and we expect 3 more in a row. I'm hoping to get my business work done in the mornings and be outside right after lunch, well that's the plan..
Have a wonderful afternoon and evening all!

                  Aloha everyone,

                  Fog has gone :blue thumb:

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself as I'm having trouble moving my arm. It's my fault as I have overdone the gardening at the weekend. I did lots of mowing and must have overdone the lifting of the grass box. As we have a large mower the grass box is big and gets very heavy when full. As we've had all the fog the grass and leaves were very wet, making the box much heavier than usual. Lifting it up was a bit difficult and then having to lift it high up to empty it (the compost heaps were up to 4ft high already) must have strained my muscles in my arm and chest. :phew: I must have done about 60 boxes, and felt fine afterwards, but my poor old :old: muscles are complaining a lot now . I don't think that shifting half a ton of manure on Thursday helped :noidea:

As I didn't want to do much in the garden yesterday (just did a bit of edging, some fruit picking and some tidying up) I started preparing another quiz. I'll finish it off this morning before going to bridge this afternoon.

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

The weather is much brighter today & I feel much brighter too! Gosh I'd forgotten just how awful the fog is!
I've had a busy morning, been to the accountants for a meeting, dashed to waitrose for reduced Halloween stuff for my niece! Now soldiering on at work...oh the joys! Lol. To do list is slowly reducing I'm pleased to report.
@shiney I'm so sorry to hear that you have hurt your arm, rest up my friend, I hope it soon feels better.
@wiseowl I hope you are feeling better too & Mrs Woo & Miss Woo are both well?
Best I get a wriggle on.

                            Morning everyone,

Its sunny and nice here today, supposed to be gorgeous until Friday and then its all down hill from there :rolleyespink:

As usual we had a busy weekend, and this coming weekend is looking like the same.

I got all my Halloween decorations put away and plan on getting the Christmas lights hung on the roof this week while its nice, Brad will be doing that job, I supervise :heehee:. I don't plug in the lights though until after Remembrance Day. :)

I'm off today but I am helping Natalie get a bunch of baby clothes out of our storage container and sort through what she's keeping, since she's having a girl this time around, a lot will be sold or donated.

Off to finish my vacuuming and then heading out for a bit.....so enjoy your day everybody. :)

                                Aloha everyone,

Mild and rainy at the moment.

I've got a number of errands to run later and then some shopping. So the rain won't be stopping me from gardening. :)

I seem to have got an idea in the back of my head that I'm supposed to be popping in to Maplin's for some electronic gear  but can't think of what it is

Keep well and have a great day

                                Aloha!
