      Morning early people :)

Cold and blowing a gale here:hate-shocked: Bit of hail overnight.

Off to get tarted up in a bit, doing lunch before the pictures, hoping to get shaken and not stirred :)

Have a good day everyone :)

Good morning everyone, dreadful news from France, we must be prepared for similar here if we get involved in bombing Syria. We must have quite a few Syrian trained Jihadists on our land at the moment waiting their time. More often these are home bred terrorists too, makes it so hard to identify them.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry but above all stay SAFE and well.
            God bless. :wub2:

              Aloha everyone,

It's a bit nippy out there and they forecast rain but I don't care :blue thumb:

This afternoon we're off to a presentation of literary works. My sister heads up a writers group, she's a poet and writer, and they're doing a charity presentation of extracts of work from their latest book.

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!

Phoned my son on the bank of the lake and asked him if he had heard about the slaughter in France. He said no it was why he got away from it all with his fishing, caught a 29lb Carp last night, he is happy and intends to stay even though I warned him of the torrential rain due around 3pm today. He is the only one there! I said I wasn't surprised. His mate Robbie is due to join him later but whether he will is another thing if the rain persists!
Do stay SAFE and well everyone. God bless. :wub2:

                        Aloha everyone,

It's very windy out there but the sun is coming up and looks as though it will be a nice day.

Yesterday's presentation went very well. Some of the poems and short stories were excellent and some fell a bit short, but mainly because of the authors not being able to perform their work very well. Some of them may be very good writers but need some lessons in projecting what they want to put across.

Having said that, it was very enjoyable, the hall was packed, I had a long chat with our MP before the start (he's an excellent constituency MP and tries to turn up at local events if possible. This is despite being busy on lots of parliamentary organisations - got the duty on petrol reduced :blue thumb:). He even sent an apology for not being able to come to our Open Garden as he had important meetings at The House (I'm not even sure whether he saw my invitation as his secretary would have handled it :noidea:).

Today we are going to a friend's 80th birthday party. :)

Keep well and have a great day

                        Aloha!

                                Aloha everyone,

There's a warm glow in the sky and the wind has just, suddenly, dropped. So I shall get out there and potter.

I started to clean out the bird feeders yesterday but, first time ever, I dropped one of the metal nuts when taking the things apart. We couldn't find it, even with a powerful magnet, but luckily my brother-in-law has a superb range of tools etc. in his garage. As we were picking them up to go to the 80th party I was able to get a nut from him :blue thumb:. I'll have to stop talking about my nuts! :heehee:

80th party went very well. :dbgrtmb:

Keep well and have a great day

                                Aloha!
