@Beckie76 I think they will release something better after their Tuesday meeting. If not then it will be time to get pushy. Tell them that the only time you can get away is the time that you booked with them and, for you, that was one of the major reasons for booking what you did.

          Aloha Woo and everyone,

I'm pleased that I got a lot of mowing done yesterday afternoon. The grass was long, the thickest it has been all year but cut quite easily because the wind had dried it out. We've now had rain all night.

I've only done a basic repair on the big bird feeder (others all fixed now). I've found enough new perches to fix it but I can't take the broken ones out yet. If I did then the feed will pour out of it and there's too much for me to want the bother of getting a container for it (3ft high and 4" diameter). In there will be a few nuts and bolts from the broken parts and I shall need them. I'll wait until the birds have eaten all the seed and then retrieve the bits and fix it. I'll take it apart and give it a good clean, which usually takes about an hour.

I've been very remiss with regard to getting my paperwork done and still have to plough my way through bank statements, credit card statements, ongoing discussions with the taxman, committee reports to make, sorting out a grant for the village hall (just got the approval for that :blue thumb: and have to schedule the work) etc.

According to Mrs Shiney I've been playing too much bridge (that's an oxymoron as far as I'm concerned :heehee:). I've got a league match all afternoon that should then give me time to get a bite of supper and off to the bridge club until 11.30 :snork:

Have any of you noticed that the display of smilies has become smaller in size but not in quantity. Each one is smaller and there are two more per line.

EDIT: I have solved the problem. Somehow the 'Font Size' setting had changed on my IE. I keep it at 125% so I guess that the last update changed it back to 100%. Apart from being much easier to read when set at 125% the GC screen fits my whole screen with no borders. :dbgrtmb:

Keep well and have a great day

          Aloha!

                Morning early people :)

Hope your holiday gets sorted out @Beckie76 :fingers crossed:

Love a good moronic ox, especially if its got a wet nose :)

Looks like some sunshine is coming, could do with some to lift my mood a bit, not coping with the dark very well

Have a good day everyone :)

Good Morning everyone, well crossed fingers and touching wood, my computer problems seem behind me at last. I have to see if I can retrieve a lot of my pictures from Photobox and if I can it will be a bonus.

Shiney you do have to grant H that she is right about your commitments. Still it keeps you young and that is all that matters.

WOO hope you and your nestlings are all keeping well now. Lori, good luck with your trip to the US. and Penny hope all is well with you out there too. Lili are you and OH now back on track healthwise? I do hope so.

Well everyone, stay warm and dry and above all in this rotten world safe and well, God bless. :wub2:

                    Good morning everyone,
It's still dark here but I have already got the rubbish bags out to the street, a load of laundry started and a cuppa beside me, ta Q.

Hope everyone has a good day and Sheal, we're forecasted 3 days of sunshine - I will do my best to send some of that your way and as quickly as possible.

Edit: forgot to say the trip to the U.S. went well however I should NOT have taken the people carrier - I filled it while simultaneously emptied my bank account..

                      Aloha everyone,

                      It's two o'clock and all's well!

I've just popped out in the garden to rearrange the bird feeder (big feeder hung on the lowest setting) as the wind is getting up and roaring round the house.

                          Aloha everyone,

@wiseowl the Rennies didn't work - or you didn't throw them far enough. :noidea:

I'm going to try out a new recipe today but I'll need to top up my spices and get some fresh coconut first. Spices - easy, coconut - not sure . Already got plenty of turmeric, paprika, tamarind, chillies, coriander seed, cinnamon sticks, black peppercorns, cumin seed, fennel seed, cloves and garlic but need more nutmeg, star anise and poppy seeds. It's supposed to have fresh coconut but I may have to compromise.

Keep well and have a great day

                          Aloha!
