    Good morning everyone,

Shiney, you were right ,lovely sunshine this morning:thumbsup:...

Woo...I'm sure both you and Penny enjoyed your walk yesterday:wub2:...It's lovely seeing everything come back to life isn't it.When I had Archi and Theo out the other day in the woods there was lots of rustling in the undergrowth which kept making me jump but the dogs loved it and it made them even more excited .

I spent the best part of last evening wrestling with the staging in the GH,could I heckuslike dismantle it so I could fold it down ready for the tomatoes:gaah:...eventually did it:yes: had the company of the resident frog 'Freda' ,bet she's never heard language like it:biggrin:

Time for a cuppa then off to the coal face:coffee:

Waves to all, take it easy and take care:SUNsmile:

              Aloha again,

Well, the sludge lorry didn't turn up yesterday due to 'technical' problems   Apparently the driver didn't want to run so many pipes as we don't let the lorry on to driveway. So he told the boss that he's not allowed to park on the road under new regulations! There were a few choice words from me, to the boss. we'll see what happens today!

              Beautiful sunshine

              Enjoy your day

              Aloha!

                Morning all

Lots of lovely sunshine here and will hopefully stay that way. Had enough rain the past couple of days. Lots more planting out to do. All the gazanias have been munched now :gaah:but everything else has been left alone (so far) though clumsy Cooper managed to destroy a sunflower

Woo, your garden is looking beautiful, looks very tranquil in that spot

Hope you get your sludge shifted today Shiney. Don't think that driver will be getting a tip - well, not of the monetary kind anyway :snork:

Sending 'go away aches and pains' thoughts to all who need them

                Have a great day everyone

                    Good morning everyone,

Woo..I missed your garden shot yesterday,it looks beautiful in the morning sunshine doesn't it,so peaceful:wub2:

Shiney...Did the sludge man turn up? sounds like you got an awkward one there:rolleyespink:...hope you got it sorted without any more problems:thumbsup:

Mr Fox has decided to use my Foxgloves(must be something in the name) and Zinnias as a landing pad:doh:...it must be a new boy on the block because he doesn't usually come into the garden that way.The plants are in the border near the garage where I've been giving it a couple of doses of Nemaslug jollop after most of the plants got eaten last year, that seems to be working thus far but now the plants are getting wrecked by foxy:doh:I don't mind him visiting but does he have to rummage amongst the plants:gaah:...Hmmm wonder if there's such a thing as 'NemaFox' on the market:biggrin:...

At work yesterday a new lady was admitted,103 years young and she is absolutely marvellous,as bright as a button and as fit as a lop:love30:..I knelt down to chat with her and SHE helped ME up:rolleyespink:She really is a remarkable lady. Her 'young' son visited 82 years young he is:love30:..She was telling me she had to give up golf at 96 because her bunion was playing up,a fascinating lady she really is.

It's a lovely morning, bit chilly at 6 degrees:rolleyespink: it's about time it started warming up in the night don't you think?

Hi Ho it's off to work I go:whistle:

Have a great day everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

                        Aloha everyone,

Loli, that old lady sounds wonderful. There are some very bright old people around. One of our bridge club members is 97. It's only this year that she's stopped coming to the club by bus and has let another member bring her by car. Someone else has asked me if there are any steps to negotiate in our garden as her 95 year old mother wants to come. I said we hadn't, and asked if her mother has problems getting around and that wheelchairs are OK for getting around the garden. She said the problem is exactly the opposite. Her mother rushes around everywhere but she gets worried that her mother doesn't look carefully enough about where she's going - and won't let anyone give her a hand!

Re sludge lorry:- I had a talk with the boss and I said that they could back the lorry just into the top of the driveway. When he arrived I had a chat with him and it turned out that he will not park on the road because the other year he got crushed against his lorry by a speeding school run mum. He saw the driver but didn't get the number plate and she didn't stop! He was in hospital for six months :hate-shocked:

He's a single father and in a lot of debt because he didn't get paid whilst off and is self-employed so didn't get sickness benefit (insurance still hasn't paid out but expects a cheque by Christmas). He did a quick and efficient job, so he did get a tip :blue thumb:

I collected more tables from the village hall at midnight but haven't unloaded the car yet. :phew:

It's going to be a rather busy day today :)

Keep well and have a great day

                        Aloha!

                            Good morning my forum friends,
It's a beautiful day here, the sun is out & the birds are singing, the hens are chasing around the garden, Marion has a worm in her beak,Hilda & Nora seen to think it's their right to steel it from her!
@shiney, I'm pleased to hear the sludge lorry has been, but the poor man who was squashed by the car....that's terrible, fancy the woman not stopping! :mute: Sounds like you are making good progress with the organising my friends :hapydancsmil: not long to go now.
. @Lolimac the lady who was admitted yesterday sounds wonderful, I bet she will tell you some wonderful stories whilst she's in, I love talking to old people it fascinates me, especially when they talk about how life has change.
@lost_in_france I hope the sun stays out for you, we've had so much rain here too. @Zigs looks like you have a busy day ahead of you, I'm sure you will soon clear the patch :dbgrtmb:.
@wiseowl your garden looks lovely this morning :dbgrtmb:
I'm going to start putting out my baskets & pots today, I'm still very wary of frost so will bring them back in tonight!
Have a lovely day everyone, enjoy the sunshine :spinning:

                                Aloha everyone,

It seems as though I'm the only one on here at the moment. I've just put up some of the tables in the car port and garden. five x 6ft tables and 3 x 3ft tables. Another six x 6ft tables should be delivered around 10 a.m. together with all the chairs and a lot of other stuff. The sound system and flooring for the Flamenco dancers should arrive later as well. Whilst I was doing all that, around 3 a.m., Sarafi came round to be nosey and kept getting under my feet

My back aches and I'm going to have a rest and a cuppa :coffee:.

The wound on my leg is a lot better now :blue thumb: but under my foot is getting bad again

Yesterday evening I moved the bird feeders to a quieter part of the garden so they could continue to feed whilst people are here (only the smaller birds will do that). Whilst I was carrying the feeder (the top of the biggest feeder is about 9ft above the ground) a blue tit continued to feed and threw bits of seed down on me! :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

                                Aloha!
