      Aloha everyone,

Woo, no need to worry :dbgrtmb: it's there to wash the plants and give them a drink. :grphg:

The garden really needed the rain on Friday and we're due a lot today. It's been drizzling for about 5 hours so far.

Yesterday we were busy. The marquee has been taken down and back to storage and it has left six patches (each 12" x 6") of dead grass where the feet had been. Once I'd mowed the lawn it didn't look quite so bad :blue thumb:.

I did a lot of mowing, built some frameworks for the outside tomatoes (that weren't planned for when preparing the veg plot ).

Mrs Shiney has planted a few of the Manx Marvels that Zigs brought (the others going on a holiday to Steve R soon) and we've been given some Italian plum toms and have the new variety of toms were doing the Which? trials on. I've juggled things around in the greenhouse so that I could put a 70litre compost bag in there. It's cheaper than a GroBag and contains a lot more compost.

I got my new delivery of bamboo canes (50 x 7ft for £16.95) and shall be making room for even more French and runner beans :hate-shocked:

Weeds are growing like mad :frown: but I talk to them nicely when I remove them.

The baby blue tits are still in the nest but are having the occasional peek outside. :)

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

Hope all our poorlies are over the worst of their aches and pains, Loli good to have you back.
Shiney we too have baby blue tits in the nest box. First year the box has been used.

Miserable out there this morning but will be good for the garden and lawn. Have a good day everyone,
        God bless.:wub2:

Good morning folks, Happy Sunday to you all x x Had to smile about Zigs peas (sorry @Zigs) but somebody beat me to it re the breakfast suggestion! My friend and I usually plunder the local boot fair for plants on a Sunday morning but it's very rainy today, so instead (oh deepest, deepest joy) we are off to clean the house her daughter is moving into tomorrow, from top to bottom. With the added bonus that we are taking the dogs. Oh god. It's a small house and we have a large, woolly dog and a medium very springy dog. Can you see a flaw in this plan already?

I am pleased to say, Phil has a new hobby. He has smoked since he was 17 (he's 52 now) About 3 months ago he switched to e cigs. He now indulges in something called "vaping" which is a sort of sophisticated e cig, comes in many flavours and you use things called tanks, coils, ohms and mods. It's all quite complicated! HOWEVER. Vaping has forums with many users. And Phil signed up. He has made many new friends and they all send each other bits and pieces, yesterday I had to queue in the post office to post 6 of his parcels to various folks! So far from being bed bound and bored, he's now bedbound and glued to his iPad. I shall inform you ASAP if I get a conversation out of him that DOESNT involve vaping in the next six months. Joking aside, it's great to see him all fired up and motivated again. If you too are a vaper, please come and visit for coffee. I shall go out for some peace and quiet and leave you both to talk each other half to death. Please? Somebody? Anybody?:roflol::roflol::roflol:

Anyway, I must away to get my Kim and Aggie head on for the rest of the day. Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday x x x

                        Aloha everyone,

@Zigs good luck with the interview

It was extremely sunny early this morning (5 a.m. to 7 a.m.) but is clouding over. The forecast is rain this afternoon then warming up a bit tomorrow and summer from Wednesday. :dbgrtmb:

We're still struggling with notifying the raffle winners. We keep getting answerphones! No one wants to talk to me!!!! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I'm going to make a concerted effort this morning as there are still 20 prizes to go.

                        Have a great day

Good morning folks, I have been out the back and at the moment the weather is not inclement. As we know that could change at any moment though!
@Zigs very good luck with the interview today, I'm sure you will do well. We'll all be rooting for you :0)
The cleaning episode went well yesterday. So we are helping with the moving in today, but shall leave the dogs at home this time!
@beckie I'm afraid I had to call time on the extra work, despite the extra money coming in very handy. I have now learned the lesson that I can't be in two places at once (despite giving it my best shot) Now I'm skint, but relatively sane as opposed to having extra plant money, but being too stressed/exhausted to spend it :roflol: Hope all is well your end x It's ornamental grasses and house plants in Aldi on Thursday. Some nice grasses as far as I can see.
Right folks. I wish you all a lovely day. I'm off to get my "coo-eee Mr shifter" hat on. If I survive this I shall catch you all later :hapfeet::hapfeet::hapfeet:

How's everyone doing?,hope everyone has had a good night and haven't got up to any damage after last nights wild weather:rolleyespink:...
Just had a wander around the garden and apart from a bit of debris from the trees everything looks intact which I'm pleasantly surprised at because it did get quite fierce out there.:phew:...

The law of 'sod' has kicked in here:rolleyespink:...so much for a jolly jaunt up on the moors with the caravan.Mr Loli got up in agony yesterday and it seems he's trapped a nerve in his neck:ouch1: there's no way he could drive and even though I could tow the van Mr Loli can't even stand the pain sat in a chair at home never mind jigging around in the car,so that's put the kibosh on that one:rolleyespink:...it is disappointing and we were so looking forward to a short break but hey ho it can't be helped it's just one of those things.

Ooo ey up I can spot a bit of blue sky, looks to be enough to make a pair of sailors trousers so hopefully that bout of yucky weather has passed:fingers crossed:
