Beautiful day here, I'm going to cut the grass before I go to work, :dbgrtmb:.
Hubby had a friend come over last night to shoot the pigeons we have 25 who sit in the tree at the front & on the telephone wire & poop on his new van....heaven forbid :thud: not the van:doh:, anyway the chap said he couldn't do it because we are too close to the highway :frown:
I'd better get cracking, enjoy the sunshine my friends. :)

      Aloha everyone,

      Another beautiful day

I'm busy this morning but shall do a lot of mowing this afternoon - foot permitting :).

Beckie, an air rifle should be OK to use. Whenever the wildlife around here becomes too invasive I manage with my 56 year old, trusty, BSA Meteor. Mr Crow will be the next one if he doesn't stop damaging our patio door (he has pulled out all the protectors from the hinges!) and messing up the windows on it. I've given him a year to stop it but he still carries on

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

Just got back from the MOT station. All done and dusted for another year. Just the cost of the MOT and a pair of windscreen wipers! Not bad.

                      Aloha everyone,

@Zigs good luck with the interview :blue thumb: You should do OK with it as you've already practiced this week :heehee:

@wise Lovely sunrise. :dbgrtmb: I was hoping to get my mowing done early this morning as the forecast shows rain/storms from 9 a.m., but it started raining at 6 a.m.!!!! Maybe I can get it done this afternoon when it will be sunny and hot.

@moyra that's good news about your MOT. :hapydancsmil:

My eye test yesterday (the last part of my, current, personal MOT) went well. I didn't like the puffs of air into my eyes or the very bright lights (doesn't do migraines a lot of good!) but the results were good. I even got the faint flashes of dots on the screen 100% right. :blue thumb: After the technician did my left eye, with the dot test, I asked him if he could change the sequence of the dots for the right eye. When he asked me why, I told him that I could remember the sequence - and promptly told him what it was :snork:.

Then I went in to see the optician for my eye test. I hadn't seen him before (not because my eyesight is too poor to see him :heehee:) and I explained that I'm very fussy about tiny differences in what I see on the screen so my answers are unlikely to be 'yes' or 'no' (or '1' or '2'). He said he'd already been warned about it by the boss! :roflol: I've known her for years :)

End result: eyes very good (for my age :old:) and the last optician, that had said there was a slight cataract in my left eye, was wrong.

His only suggestion was that I should wear sunglasses outside as I'm working in the garden a lot, as older eyes can get affected by too much sunshine. As I didn't need new lenses he suggested clip-ons. Unfortunately they didn't have any that fitted my glasses so they have told me to try other opticians.

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

                        Good Morning everyone,

I think it is going to be a funny old day today, it is very dark this morning and we have already had some rain. I think it has mostly stopped now so must get Amber out before it starts again. Too late it started again. Don't want to be out in thunder and lightning storms though.

Well I took her anyway and I could hear the thunder in the distance. Amongst all the deep cloud there was one small chink of blue sky.

Well done on your eye tests Shiney.
Have a good day all, stay safe and well, God bless.:wub2:
