Blimey Shiney I feel like I've just done another shift after reading your post how do you do it....

Eve,yes Ziggy has got it Wood Pigeons...always have a garden full of them ,luckily they haven't done any harm over the years apart from empty the bird feeders at a rate of knots and I can't see there'll be many cherry plums as they were munching on all the buds

You've got to love 'em though



...it's really warm here too hot to garden so I'll just stare at it instead

You can't believe how fast everything is leafing up all of a sudden ,one day branches are bare the next there's a haze of green...cor I love it

@wiseowl sorry to hear you aren't feeling quite yourself today but I hope you feel better as the day goes on.

@shiney, I'm exhausted just reading your post you are such a busy bee. Don't over do it though.

@moyra, I hope the gout is clearing up & you will soon be back to your normal self.

@Zigs, I almost hope you are right about the rain, my garden is bone dry & my water butts are almost empty, I've been using the hosepipe the last few days.

We are still no further with the dam Internet, but at least I can pop on at work!!!
I had a beautiful Song Thrush in the garden this morning, I'm thrilled to bits that she's decided to visit .
I managed to sow some carrots, spring onions, lettuce & raddish yesterday & potted on my tomatoes. I had a mail order delivery of foxgloves & begonias, I ordered six foxgloves & twelve turned up so that was a nice surprise!
It's lovely to see the garden coming together, it literally changes everyday.

Bit late on today as I've spent most of the morning cutting the grass. But it's finally done, phew. Needed to get it done today as it's meant to be raining for about the next week and I'll be in Eastbourne this weekend as well

Pleased you can sneak on here at work occasionally Beckie, we miss your cheery posts. Good news re the foxgloves. I've got some here that I was thinking of digging up as when we first got Honey and Cooper they were like toddlers and everything went in their mouths, including plants. Thankfully they seem to have grown out of that stage as there's a fair few poisonous plants in the garden

I hope everyone is OK this morning or at least getting there

After tea last night I made a start on a loaf,left it to prove and thought I'll 'knock it back' before Gardeners world comes on.Right-O...on going to bed I double checked the doors as you do and was just about to turn the lights out and there staring at me from under a tea towel was my breadmy memory is shocking I wasn't going to faff at that time of the night so put it in the fridge,I'll do it first thing in the morning I just remembered it's still in the fridge annnyway I've just seen to it so lets see if I remember to bake it

No rain here yet but 'they' reckon it's on it's way
