    Afternoon all:spinning:

Worn out, dried out, feet killing me...... yes, had a busy morning at the boot sale.

Just sitting watching Calamity Jane, drinking an ice cold Cappucino, bliss:thumbsup:

Got a bit bowl of fruit waiting for me later.....Strawberries, Blackberries, Cherries and
Blueberries. Summer in a bowl, it's drier than the Sahara here, the sun is beaming
    down.

    Have a good evening everyone.:imphrt:

Thanks so much Mrs S for the RR remedy. I shall have a look at that. It hasn't been a bad day here but it has left me very tired. Am going to call it a day. Congratulations WOO on your postings. I am way behind considering the number of years I have been a member! Night night everyone,
          God bless.:wub2:

            Good Morning everyone,

That's unusual, I put the thread to bed last night and am the first to wake it up this morning. Hope you have all had a good night. Lot of rain has fallen during the night but I think it is starting to dry up now ready for me to take Amber out.
Have a good day everyone, God bless.:wub2:

                  Aloha everyone,

Moyra, we didn't get any rain last night :noidea:, would have loved some.

I have an apology to make to the pigeons. I've been calling them rude names for the last week or so because I accused them off taking the tops of nearly 70 of my runner bean plants.

Yesterday I decided to trek down to the bottom of the garden to check out the beans and wind any growing stalks up the canes (a regular job until they get longer). I was standing there looking at all the beans when I spotted a movement out of the corner of my eye. So I looked down and saw a rabbit plonking himself down, less than 2ft from me, and also examining the beans!!!!

I told him to wait there whilst I went to get my gun, but he wasn't there when I returned

The village festival was good fun yesterday :blue thumb:

There was a rather large chicken there! :hate-shocked:

I have my last bridge match of the season, in the local league, today. The result will determine whether my team comes first or second.

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

                    Morning all

Raining here too and looks like it's will all day. No lawn mowing for me today then, might finally get round to sorting out some of the wardrobes

Good luck at the bridge match Shiney

                    Have a great day everyone

Good Morning all, none too bright as yet here. Must get Amber out for her walk though. She is not well keeps coughing and choking, not sure if it is a touch of kennel cough she has picked up even though she had her up the nose shot of it last year and is due next month for her next one or whether like us she is suffering from Hay Fever or got something caught in her throat. If this continues will have to get her to the vet.

Have a good day all, stay safe and well,
                              God bless.:wub2:

                                Aloha everyone,

Moyra, I hope Amber gets better quickly.:blue thumb:

Zigs, I'm pleased you had a good time :)

I'm having a bit of trouble with the computer. It's on a go slow and, also, doesn't like sending emails. I think it's getting tired as it hasn't had a sleep for a week or so. I'll shut it down for a few hours when I go off to the doctor's surgery.

I've been called up for my wrinkly's health check. :heehee: They sent me the form for the whole range of blood tests to be done at the hospital. As I'm a bit needle phobic I don't do hospitals for blood tests (unless it's something urgent) so I told the surgery I want them to do it. So I'm going mid-morning.

When the results come back I'll then have all the other checks that they do at the docs. I suppose it's good to have the test for prostate cancer, liver function, diabetes, cholesterol etc. and, of course, they'll do my blood pressure. Then they'll tell me I should have statins and blood pressure tablets - they've been saying that for years! I don't do precautionary pill popping and they know that. When I challenge their conclusions they say that my readings are just a little higher than normal so I should take the tablets 'just in case'. My blood pressure is usually between 140-154 over 80-87 but higher when they do it (white coat syndrome). My cholesterol is usually around 6.

I have the tests in case the figures have gone up and, particularly, for the prostate and liver tests. Over the years I've seen the recommended cholesterol level gradually drop from 7.5 to 5. Some of my research chemist friends say that these figures are too simplistic and do not reflect the actual situation properly. I just don't want to take the chance of the side effects unless I really need it.

The bridge match was successful and my team have won the league

Keep well and have a great day

                                Aloha!
