    Morning all

Nice day here now the rain has finally stopped

Well done Shiney on winning the league

Hope things have calmed down for you now Beckie, we miss your posts

Children's Benylin is good for easing dogs' coughs, Moyra. Has to be the children's version though as the adult one has paracetamol in it

Sending good thoughts to everyone. Have a wonderful day

      Good Morning folks,

Another crazy day yesterday, let's hope peace & tranquility has now returned! I've only had time for abit of watering in the garden today, we had some rain last night so only had to do my pots & baskets. I'm hoping to start digging my potatoes up in the next few days, they are all on flower, I'm fretting about the slugs moving In before I get to them! :paladin:
Very grey & cold here today, I shall nip out shortly & do a little sundance, anyone fancy joining me! :hapydancsmil:
@moyra you could give Amber a antihistamine tablet that would sort out any allergies, I hope she's soon better.
Thanks @lost_in_france, I've missed being on here.

Have a great day everyone :grphg:

        Morning early people :)

Low cloud here today, can't see the hills.

Another day going mad from the farting crowds at Thomas Hardy's place, i'll remember to take the camera today

Have a good day everyone and don't be tardy :)

            Aloha everyone,

I had my blood taken (a whole armful :heehee:) and the nurse was very gentle with me. :)

The computer has been sorted :blue thumb:. It just needed a good sleep to get its head together. unfortunately, its go slow had caused another problem. Mrs Shiney's emails wouldn't work. Apparently the go slow had timed out her emails that she was trying to send. It had kept trying to send them and this was noticed by our server (BT).

So when I had got everything sorted out on the computer I went directly into BT to check things as the emails still wouldn't go. This brought up a report from them that said there had been a number of failed attempts to use the account so they have frozen it until we changed the password. I changed the password at BT and then had to try and find how to change it on the computer. BT had explained, in a document, how to change it on their server and gave a link to a page that would tell me how to change it in Outlook, that we were using. The link came up with 'Page not found'! I finally got it sorted . Five hours down and 39 emails came charging in!

Bridge club in the afternoon went very well. :dbgrtmb:

I then spent two hours in the evening taking the bird feeders apart (fiddly job) and cleaning them. Birds seem happy. :) By then it was 8.00 p.m. and we decided to take advantage of the lovely warm sunshine by going for a 2.5 mile walk to the village and back (Mrs Shiney took some cuttings on the way :heehee:). So we didn't have dinner until 10 p.m. :rolleyespink:
Sarafi had the trimmings off my steak :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Keep well and have a great day  It's going to be hot and sunny here

            Aloha!

                Good morning folks,

I hope everyone is perky this morning.

Looks like it's going to be a nice day here, the sun is out :dbgrtmb:, there's a few clouds coming this way but hopefully they will pass :dbgrtmb:

I had an appointment with the nurse this morning (smear test :eeew:) but it's been cancelled, I'm disappointed because I'd planned to go to the market afterwards to buy plants :heehee:, as you will understand I need a few more! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Nora the hen is broody & very grumpy! she won't come out of the best box ,I'm going to lift her out again in a minute because I need her to eat! Oh hubby has got her out & she's shouting at him :heehee:, poor man is hen pecked! :heehee:.

I'm off to work presently, I hope you all have a good day & enjoy lots of gardening :hapydancsmil:

                  Morning all

                  Glorious sunshine here this morning

Pleased the antihistamines worked for Amber, Moyra

Aw, sorry you won't get to the market Beckie. Such a shame as you've hardly any plants in your garden :heehee:

The farmer has moved his bulls into the field next door to our garden. Cooper is so excited he is letting the world know. Luckily they are young docile creatures and don't seem to mind a hysterical staffie inviting them to play with him. Best he shuts up soon though before I get a headache

Have a great day everyone, hope it stays sunny wherever you are

                      Aloha everyone,

The sun has got his hat on and he's going to warm us up pretty quickly.

We've got quite a busy day today and I think I had better get some gardening done early but I don't think the neighbours would be too happy if I started mowing now :heehee:

Mrs Shiney's car has to go in for its annual service and MOT (mine goes in tomorrow) so were down to the garage early. Then she's working all morning just up the road at a neighbour's charity coffee morning. She has a stall for some of her crafts there. They raise money for an orphanage in Kalimpong. This is in West Bengal but the population is mainly Nepalese. The orphanage was extremely badly damaged in an earthquake four years ago.

The bridge drive that we had in aid of the current earthquake relief in Nepal raised £880 and we've received a very nice email from someone from one of the villages that was devastated by it. He's a personal friend of our friend who organised the drive (his Sherpa for over 30 years). So the money was sent directly to him for him to distribute to some families and to help with the school. Money that has been going to the relief agency hasn't been getting to a lot of the villages. His Sherpa's actual name is Tensing Sherpa! :heehee:

My blood tests results came back yesterday and the practice nurse phoned me with them. She started off by saying that everything was OK and then said, could she persuade me to go on Statins. I gave a polite 'No' and asked what my reading was. She said it's 6.3, so I replied that it's a definite 'No'! I'm now doing a week of blood pressure readings for her. Two in the morning and two in the evening.

I've got a lot of shopping to do for a busy weekend of people coming. Mrs Shiney is teaching one of her courses. :)

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

Good morning Shiney and everyone and what a beautiful day we have:smile:

@Shiney,did you see the Panaroma programme on the telly Monday evening? They visited a village and there was a Tensing Sherpa on there and I think one of the Sherpas of the same name was killed in the Avalanche.According to Mr Kandy the name gets passed down through the families, but I expect you already knew that:biggrin:

                        Have a nice day:smile:

I'm glad you could send the money directly to a village that needed it Shiney. I've often wondered when you donate into a big 'pot' how much of it actually gets to where it's needed most.
