              Good Morning,

I'm feeling very excited this morning! I can't wait to have my clear out, I'm just waiting for the skip! I'm going to put the sitting room back together in a minute, I cleaned the carpet in there yesterday, I put most of the furniture from there into the dining room :phew: it had to go somewhere!
I agree @Lolimac its much easier being at work :heehee:. But I shall be delighted once I've got it all sorted out. :dbgrtmb:
Yesterday I had fledged woodpeckers in the front garden, I'm so pleased they are just so cute. They literally just have spotty wings! But are very capable of flying short distances & have got to grips with grabbing on to the feeders! I'm not sure where they are nesting.

@wiseowl I do hope Mrs Woo is soon feeling better, sending lots of love & healing vibes your way, please keep us up to date as & when you can :grphg:

              Have a lovely day everyone.

                    Aloha everyone,

Mrs S and I wish her lots better. If there's anything Mrs S might be able to send to help her then please let us know. :grphg:

Reunion went very well :blue thumb:. Specs sorted - they replaced both nose pads free of charge - thanks Vision Express - and these are now a form of rubber, as opposed to plastic, and don't slip down my nose. :)

I never allow children to be badly behaved in Shineyland :nonofinger:. It's behave or go! No wonder I haven't got any friends :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I got quite a lot of weeding done yesterday evening - only another 3,000 hours of weeding to do :phew:

Some of our bean plants are recovering from rabbit depredation but half of them are still just stumps . Haven't had a meal of runners or French yet :cry3:

Plums and pears are doing well and apple trees are so laden down that the ground underneath is covered in thousands of crunchy small ones! Blackberries are just becoming pickable and will be a fantastic crop this year - a lot earlier than usual. Globe artichokes have collapsed under the weight of the enormous heads!

                    Have a great day

                    Aloha!

                      Morning early people :)

Nice and sunny here today

Feeling a bit groggy this morning, A35 was closed yesterday and I got stuck in the narrow lanes with all the rest of the traffic for an hour. Trouble is, my car is doing it's best to gas me at the moment, and even with all the windows open, sitting in traffic I coped a fair bit of exhaust fumes :sick0026:

Have a good day everyone and get kissed by a rose on the wind :)

Morning all, this seems to be the place for my first post after the initial "hello"
Nice sunny day expected here, which is good because it's dogday today
After a few weeks looking and being house tested, I'm picking up my new best friend - a 2 year old rescue Staffie.
It was one of the first things I wanted to do when I returned to the uk, as I couldn't have a dog where I lived in France, and finally the day is here.
Be prepared all for pictures of chewed furniture, messed up garden ( not that its tidy yet), and god knows what else - you have been warned!!

@Zigs - just think yourself lucky it wasn't the M20, sounds like a nightmare there.

                        Have a great day everyone.

Just a thought before I start for the day, anyone else on here returned to uk recently after a long stay abroad? I've recently returned after living in Calais for a few years.
Even though Calais is considered an English town in France, it is French if you want it to be, but was time to come back ( for now, anyway)

                              That's a brilliant rule @shiney.
Kevin & I talked about the children's behaviour last night & we have decided to ask our friends not to bring them anymore or at least not until they can behave, this will be the second ban they've had! They hadn't been here for 18 months due to their lack of respect & behaviour. I don't want to go on but they bounced on my kitchen sofa, climbed on my best room Sofa, kicked over a cup of tea (hence carpet cleaning!),Run up my stairs, jumped on the beds, tipped my handbag upside down & tummy surfed on my coffee table & answered me back! It's very tricky because one of them is our godson, BUT I cannot tolerate that sort of behaviour, I know we don't have children but had we have decided to have some NO WAY would they behave like that. I was brought up by my grandparents for much of my life so have been taught how to behave & 'hope' I always behave appropriatly, Id never treat someone's home like that! Yes I giggle & I can be abit cheeky & I have strong views sometimes but I always respect others feelings & rules.....what can I say 'it weren't like that when I was a gall!' :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
