Good morning folks. Thanks for the good wishes, they are appreciated and I hope all our poorly folks will be on the mend soon. Strange viruses this year, laying strong people very low indeed. B missed his bath yesterday as he went out for a run with his friend instead, so he's still smelly and very grey looking :roflol::doggieshmooze::roflol: I have a Fitbit and it measures all my activity throughout the day. I have to make sure I walk 5k each day but usually do 10,000 steps which equates to around 6.5k as I am doing the 5x50 Challenge to raise money for the MS Society starting on 1st April. Is anybody else doing this? (I mean the 5x50, not raising money for the MS Society - you can raise funds for whoever you wish or just do it for your own satisfaction if that is preferable) I see no reason why Baldrick can't do this with me, so he's in training from now, lol. If anybody else is doing it, love to touch base with you just for moral support of each other. Happy Friday lovely folks of GC and enjoy your day x x x :hapfeet::hapfeet::hapfeet:

Good morning all, I hope everyone is feeling better today.
Woo I'm so sorry you are not feeling yourself, I hope some digging in the garden raises your spirits! I hope your wedding ring shows up.
Please look after yourself Lynda, a back back is a horrid thing to have, best of luck with the 5x50 challenge.
Shiney, Mrs S & Moyra, I hope you are all feeling much better today, sending you all get well quick messages. Hubby has come down with the most awful virus, he never takes time off work but this has totally wiped him out poor old boy, I've had the flu jab & I'm praying that will prevent me from getting it!!!
Loli, I have the pink & blue problem going on too , I'm trying to introduce some purple & orange....not together though! :heehee: I hope the dentist treats you well :fingers crossed:
I'm still jumping for joy over my cut hedge :rolleyespink:. Can't wait to get in the garden at the weekend. It's a beautiful bright day here today, the birds are singing everything looks lovely & green it's just lovely.
Sarah gets her hens tomorrow too & I'm very excited about that. Such a lovely time of year. :hapfeet:
I hope you all have a lovely day :dbgrtmb:

Have a good evening everyone, have overdone my foot by finding a pair of slippers that I could wear and taking Amber for a short walk in them............now I need to rest it some more.

              Goodnight, God bless.

I have never joined a walk/marathon but this year, time allowing etc etc, I would like to join a kidney walk. And then I will mention it on my kidney group on Facebook.

Just read about the loss of your wedding ring. I used to use a metal detector when I lived in London and found several rings, and other gold. It might be worth putting a small advert in the 'Treasure Hunting Magazine' http://www.treasurehunting.co.uk and if there is someone close to where you are there is a high chance that they would be willing to help. I would imagine that anyone from the mag would be genuine if found through that mag.

                          Morning All...

Its a dry morning so far but looking up I cant see that lasting too long.

I dont have anything much planned today and will just see what the weather is like before I decide what to do. I can feel a spag bol coming on later, love cooking those but I am out of parmisan cheese so we shall see.

                          Have a great Saturday Everyone

                          Cheers

                            Aloha everyone,

Woo, I wish you better and hope you find your gold. :blue thumb:

Many thanks to all of you for your good wishes. I'm still improving and managed to get out in the garden yesterday. Mrs Shiney is still quite poorly.

I hope that all of you who are also poorly will get better quickly. :grphg:

Well, the repair to the greenhouse seems to be holding up and we now have to work on another part to stop the roof caving in! I've had a rough quote for replacing the whole thing and it was "approx. £6,000" :thud:

We've now got another major problem coming up. In our bathroom we have the shower next to the bath (on the end) and there's a half wall between them. The half wall is tiled with very nice 600 x 300 tiles and the glass half wall to the shower is fixed on top of it. I reckon that the half wall is moving (could be the bath or the shower or both) and some of the tiles have just cracked. So it looks as though the shower and the wall are going to have to come out, the wall remade and the shower replaced. The whole bathroom is tiled from floor to ceiling in those tiles and I don't think they make them any more!!! I'll contact the place where we bought them. I also need a bathroom fitter to do all the work.

Runs round in circles screaming! :yikes:

I hope to get some work done in the garden today. :blue thumb:

                            Have a great day

                            Aloha!

I was detecting the local park one day and saw a girl crying her eyes out. What had happened was she had thrown a stick for her dog to fetch and her sovereign ring flew off. She and her b/f had been looking for ages and had no luck. I offered to help and eventually found it. The feeling I got giving that ring back was awesome and the pleasure on her face was brilliant.
