    Morning all

Still a bit misty here so not sure what the weather's going to do. Got a housework morning so as long as the sun's out by the afternoon that'll do fine.

Hope everyone has a great day

@LyndaG As she's waiting at the Bridge she'll have already received a big hug from Oscar. :cat-kittyandsmiley: He'll be keeping her company as he loved humans.

      Aloha everyone,

I'm still overdoing it a bit in the garden but the satisfaction of seeing the result eases the discomfort. :) I've only got a slightly aching back

I got a lot done and it was heavy work for a wrinkly. :heehee:

It's very dull and windy this morning. So I'll give gardening a miss and go off and get a haircut and do some shopping. Then I'll suggest to Mrs Shiney that we go out for lunch. :blue thumb:

Don't keep your eye out for the eclipse tomorrow as it could be dangerous :hate-shocked:

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

        Good morning everyone,

Eve,roll on this afternoon and you get some sunshine so you can get out there and do a bit:blue thumb: House work is OK and has to be done I suppose but you can't beat being out there especially when that the sun makes an appearance :blue thumb:

Shiney...We never learn do we,"We'll just finish that bit then call it a day" then we spot another 'little' job,"won't take a minute" Oh "I'll just move such and such and that's it" and so it goes on:rolleyespink:...It is rewarding in the end though when we can muster the strength to admire our work:phew: This has reminded me of year after year in the Spring I would get on my hands and knees and rummage around in the borders weeding and turning over the top of the soil with a hand fork, always found it easier that way and every year I ended up with a Tennis Elbow:doh:talk about live and learn:rolleyespink: Enjoy your day off:thumbsup: there'll be more to do tomorrow:thud:;) Ooo and don't let the hair dresser cut your hair as short as mine did yesterday:whistle::heehee:

Waves to all, take it easy everyone and have a great day:SUNsmile:

Good morning folks. On a serious note (I'm not usually very good at doing serious) thank you for your lovely, kind and caring messages and pictures following my post yesterday. You truly are lovely folk and to come online and read them this morning was very comforting indeed. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU X X X

It's turning into quite a week here in Chateau Chaos. Yesterday I met my friend to walk the dogs and we met up with a couple who had just rescued a lovely boy from Battersea. He was a Staffy/Greyhound cross and very energetic, keen to chase his ball and bring it back. Being an excitable little soul, new park, new doggy friends, new family etc, he wasn't paying full attention to where he was going (do they ever :roflol:) and ran full speed into my knee dropping me to the ground in an instant. Of course he chose the knee that has crumbling cartilage and needs a knee replacement (I'm Phils full time carer so can't follow up this option right now) I did make it home but in a lot of pain and it's back to the crutches today (oh deepest, deepest joy) so it's gonna be good fun in this house for the forseeable future I think. This is not me::hapfeet:Nor is this::dancy:as we speak, this is me:hapydancsmil: Or as close as I can get anyway!

Shiney, enjoy your lunch with Mrs S, have a good time. Our poorly folk, hope you continue making progress and enjoy your day everybody. Thanks again x x x

Ooo Lynda:grphg: what a predicament. Is there anyone that could help both you and Phil out while you're out of action? The dogs don't realise do they, but they don't half come at you with some force when they're having a mad half hour:doh:...hope you're mended ASAP:grphg:

Thank you Loli x x I am lucky to have very good friends, I can't praise them highly enough, but Phil prefers it to be just me. I know my son will give me a hand if I need shopping etc, he just lives up the road, so all good. Thanks so much for asking x x x

                  Good morning everyone,

Linda, do take care, hope you can cope. I am down with gout again and I have no colchine and cannot order any until tomorrow when doctors and chemist is closed. Will phone chemist today and see how I go.

                    Good morning everyone,

Moyra...Oh no,just when it was clearing up ,hope you get your jollop so you can get back on the right track:blue thumb:

I think between us all we need putting in a bag and shaking up don't we:rolleyespink::dbgrtmb:

                    Big hugs to all:grphg: we'll get there:paladin::thumbsup:

It was gloriously sunny an hour ago, perfect Eclipse weather, camera on tripod and all set up,now it's thick cloud, typical:doh:I'm just as curious to see the 'girls':chicken: reaction because I can remember the last eclipse and it was quite spooky with the wild birds in the garden. They suddenly started twittering and acting like the were grouping up to roost and then when the light dimmed it was completely silent.Fascinates me it does..The cloud is geting thicker by the minute so there looks like there is no chance of seeing it:frown:

:dancy: I've got a 'charm' of Greenfinches flitting around the garden, haven't seen many of those in a while:thumbsup:

Take it easy everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

                      Aloha everyone,

Moyra, I hope it clears up soon :grphg: The surgery should be able to produce a repeat prescription right away (it's only the press of a button) and I'm sure you can get someone to pick it up for you. Try phoning them.

Chemists are allowed to give you one or two day's supply of regular tablets without prescription. Particularly if they normally provide you with your meds.

If you can get the prescription from the surgery you'll find that a lot of the larger supermarkets have chemists on duty over the weekend and quite late into the evening. you can find them on the internet. :blue thumb:

Last night we went to a play in the village hall. We have a very good theatre group and they won the national competition for their performance last year :dbgrtmb:. They had to perform it in the area, the region and nationally as they got through the qualifying rounds.

Last night they performed a new play that isn't on general release yet. It's called Bombers Moon and has a lot of humour and pathos and loads of swearing that is not offensive because it's in context with the play. It's about the interaction between an old man in a care home and his new carer. The old man was a rear gunner in a bomber during the war and there are a number of flashbacks. A really well written play and acted superbly.

I'm off to the dentist for my annual check up this morning. I usually try to wind him up and take the pee out of him. :heehee: I'll be gentle today. :)

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

Well this was supposed to be a different kind of morning here in UK, i.e. featuring a solar eclipse. I am in London.....bugger all happened! Just went a bit gloomy - sky overcast.

Anyone experience something less of an anti climax?

Morning folks x Hope we all had a good night. @moyra so sorry to hear that you are suffering again, I was going to write about scripts/getting meds etc then noticed, to my delight, @shiney has already written it all out, almost word for word. Also does your pharmacy deliver? I hope you get some relief today. Please take it easy and I am sending healing (((hugs))) to you x x

Good luck at the dentist @shiney x

Yesterday I spent mainly sitting down, so nothing of any excitement to report today - apart from my Mongolian Giant Sunflower seeds have germinated and (I kid you not) had the strength to push the lid off their little propogator! So it's their own fault if they get a bit nippy today because their lid won't shut now! I'm not sure if this is possible, but it looks like they grew over an inch yesterday (or did I just imagine that?)

@Lolimac eager to hear about the chickens reaction to the eclipse, we watched it on TV as very cloudy here, they had a camera in an aeroplane and it was amazing to watch. Nature has fabulous miracles to offer.

Not much to report due to being grounded with my knee, but hope we all have a good day, weather improving all the time and we'll soon all be out in the garden before we know it :spinning:
