Loli, I hope your throat is OK :blue thumb:

I haven't used any honey on my leg yet as I've still got the original, small, dressing on. We used Hypercal cream and a piece of dressing that has a smooth, supposedly, non-stick surface. I'm sure it's still stuck with blood and skin but hope it'll soak off. It leaked blood a couple of times yesterday but hasn't done it again since midnight. I think I may still have some Manuka dressings left.

If the weather stays OK I'd like to do a little bit in the garden before getting ready to prep the food. Although they call the shop bought chickens 'oven ready' I give them a really good clean out and Sarafi enjoys what I remove. :cat-kittyandsmiley: He's fast asleep in the greenhouse at the moment.

A little bit breezy out there at the moment but no rain. :dbgrtmb:

Snuffling away this morning so think I have still got a bit of a cold lingering on. I hope yours goes off Loli and I wish your leg better Shiney too.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all try and keep fit and well.
        God bless. :wub2:

Good morning everyone, dull day here & very damp, doesn't look like I'm going to get the fences finished, I'm optimistic that the weathers going to improve before the end of the weekend , I still have plenty of inside jobs to do, mainly draws & cupboards to sort out. I'm going to pop into work shortly.
@moyra & @Lolimac I hope your colds soon go, have you tried a spoonful of honey for your throat Loli?
@shiney, I'm pleased to hear you are getting around ok on your leg, we don't want to see any weeds in your garden when we come!!!!! :lunapic 130165696578242 5: I hope your dinner party goes well tonight & you have good fun teaching the ladies your cooking skills. Did the dressing come off ok? I hope the weather stays dry enough for you to garden.
15% off at homebase, thanks for that AB, I might pop along & have a peep at the garden section .
Have a good day everyone :hapydancsmil:

Then you'll have to bring very dark glasses :heehee:

Haven't tried yet, I'm dealing with emails and shopping around on the net for bulk deals on bean seeds (I usually buy over 500).

Good morning good people of GC. Easter weekend. Quite cold and dull here ATM. Off work today, always work Saturdays so this is a treat. Was going to be a gardening day but looks a bit grim for all that business just now!

@Lolimac and @moyra hope your cold symptoms ease, I know a cold is a simple thing, but it really makes you feel yeuk, eh? Sending healing vibes your way ladies x x

@shiney Did you get your dressing off? Definitely soaking it off is the way forward. I hope it eases up for you soon. I would like to apply for the cookery lessons also please. They don't get any worse than me so that should give the other ladies hope!

@Beckie76 Oh Beckie, what can I say? A bumper week. I too am going back today, I don't need anything, but will definitely get some more because I can :hapydancsmil:Hope you enjoy them. Aldi is my hero of the year! I totally understand your excitement as you approach the store. It's like being a kid and being taken to the sweet shop :hapfeet: Very impressed at your life laundry that you've got going on there, well done. I did one drawer in the kitchen basically because it wouldn't close any more. I need to do A LOT more, but hearing that yours is underway will spur me on (I hope)

Happy Saturday everybody. Enjoy your day x x x

Had my shower and got the dressing off fairly easily :blue thumb:. It's a very nasty gash but I think it will be OK. We'll keep a close eye on it (well, Mrs Shiney will as it's too far away for me to look closely :heehee:) to make sure it's not getting infected. I dried the leg off carefully with a hairdryer - too painful to wipe it and we've put another dressing on with Hypercal cream.

I've ordered my runner bean seeds. 520 Polestar for £5.60 (including postage) from the man I bought from last year. :dbgrtmb:

I've prepped all the food for tonight. Chicken's in the oven and topped with garlic salt and mixed herbs. All the veggies are blanched and dried and ready for stir frying. Soup's cooked, potatoes ready to be parboiled, chillies already on the table , homemade pickled cucumber on table, serving dishes ready, apple and blackberry crumble (gluten free, fat free and sugar free) cooked and fresh fruit salad done. Just got to make sure that the butler and maids know what to do. :heehee:

                      Happy Easter Sunday everyone!

Shiney, glad the dressing came off ok, you or rather H will have to keep an eye on that for you.
I hope the weather is going to be lovely for you all so you can get into your gardens or do whatever else you have planned. Nothing planned here. Would like to get the old Gazebo down but doubt I will find Steve in the mood to give me a hand with that. Besides I still have my aches and pains so will take things more steadily.

Have a lovely day all, stay safe, dry and warm and above all things keep well.
                      God Bless. :wub2:

                        Morning all

                        Lovely sunny Sunday here

Pleased the dressing came off easily Shiney. Hope the wound heals up quickly

I have something in my eye. It's been there since yesterday morning and I have no idea what it is but it feels like a boulder :heehee: and it's refusing to budge no matter what I do. It's amazing how much a tiny speck of grit or hair or whatever it is can debilitate you so much, it's just so irritating in every sense of the word

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter Sunday. Take care
