@shiney ...I know this probably sounds like a crazy idea but have you got any corrugated cardboard ,the pliable stuff ,to make a sort of shin pad?

I feel a bit achey around the shoulders but otherwise not too bad considering yesterday's work load. I am still sniffling though, the sinuses still playing up. Loli, I hope you haven't gone down with the dread lurgy. Shiney, how's that leg today and Eve, have you got rid of that boulder in your eye yet.

I do not think I am going to do much today except perhaps have a look in my garden shed as to what needs to also go to the tip. Might as well do it all in one go! Sneezing well here.

WOO, hope you Becky, Lynda and Zigs, lili et al are all ok. Long time no see Kandy hope they are ok too.

Good morning all, I am so sorry I didn't get a chance to look in and say " Happy Easter" it has been a bit of a hectic one this weekend. I ve been a little bit off colour (nothing serious) and it just makes everything take longer and feel more arduous. Consequently I think online activities always fall by the wayside at such times, so sincere apologies and I hope everybody had a wonderful, spiritual time (if you're religious) or a huge chocfest (if you're not)

@moyra and @Lolimac how are your colds now? I hope you are on the mend? @shiney how is that leg doing? @wiseowl are you and Mrs Woo better now?

@Beckie76 I am still rejoicing after last weeks haul in Aldi, but two more sleeps and off we go again

Today I think will be mainly housework and replanting some bits and pieces if I get a chance. My closest friend of over 40 years is arriving on Thursday and at the moment she is very frail with both physical and mental health problems and she's moderately disabled also. It is going to be a bit of a weekend next weekend, here in Chateau Chaos and I have to fit in the 5x50 as well - HOWEVER: I never forget that I am the lucky person here. I CAN do the 5x50 Challenge, I CAN look after Phil and I CAN nurse dear, lovely Dianne when she arrives. I CAN walk Baldrick and look after the cats etc so in that way, I'm a very lucky lady indeed. Shiney see you posted while I was writing my epitaph. Hope you get your leg and feet and ankles sorted. I know what it is like not getting your shoe on, thankfully, no longer a problem here. Not sure my Uriciplex would solve your problem though, it might. I hope you are able to get it sorted.

Glorious sunshine here, lifts the spirits after such a cold dreary day yesterday.

Blimey, you had a busy day yesterday Moyra, puts me to shame. My eye still feels uncomfortable but am beginning to think Beckie is right and the boulder has rolled away but has scratched the eye. Will carry on with the Optrex for a couple of days, thanks for asking.

Hope you solve the stocking problem Shiney.

Are you starting to feel better Woo? Hope the better weather will help.

Hi Everyone, just back from the tip. Got rid of the Gazebo, greenhouse, two sun brollies chewed by the mice an old battery and uncle tom cobley and all. Glad to see the back of it but there is more in the shed to go! Anyway, have a lovely afternoon everyone, am going to watch neighbours and home and away and then take Amber out with Blue for the afternoon.

Haven't taken Amber out with Blue yet just about to do that. I have mowed the lawns instead, Steve did all the edges so cannot complain! Catch up later hope nobody else is overdoing things as I feel I am but to hell with it. The sun is so warm out there!

Shiney...I was thinking about the 'shin pad' idea and later realised those stockings are hard enough to get on as it isThought of another one...maybe you could put a crepe bandage on your injured leg as a makeshift support stocking just while it heals...it might heal the swelling a bit

Moyra...It's marvellous to see you up and at 'em after being so poorly but do take it steady how many times have we all done it,felt better and had a spurt of energy and then knocked ourselves backyou're doing great

Yesterday my cold really took hold by the afternoon I did feel rotten,but I think it peaked and don't feel so bad this morning which is a good job because I'm off to the coal face shortly.

Think another fine day is in the offing it was lovely again yesterday,I could get used to this

Yes Loli doesn't some lovely weather make you feel better. Still very foggy out there at the moment waiting for it to lift before I take Amber out.

Shiney, I think Loli might be right a crepe bandage to give support to your leg maybe the way to go. Certainly need to take care of that leg.

Good afternoon everyone, a lovely warm day in Suffolk, it's so nice not to have to wear a coat! I've been to get the petrol can filled so I can cut the grass at the weekend .
Little B has made great progress & is obviously feeling a bit better (she's so noisy when she's well! ) no sign of the sparrow hawk this morning, dam bird as beautiful as he is I don't want my dear wild birds or my hens attacked.
@wiseowl I hope all is well your end?
@LyndaG one more sleep!!! , I hope you are having a nice time with your friend but please don't do too much, you need some energy to get to Aldi!!!

@shiney i hope your leg is healing up & not giving you any agro?
@moyra I hope you are taking it steady, the weather is glorious & so tempting to do lots of gardening jobs isn't it?
I have to admit after such a lovely weekend working is even more dull than it was last week!!! But I shall press on...whilst there are plants in the world I shall need a salary!
such a wonderful time of year with the birds singing, shoots pushing their way through the soil, trees coming into bud, I love it .
