      Aloha everyone,

Yesterday went well and we arrived back late afternoon just as it started to rain. The rain stopped in time for us to go out to the Indian with friends. :blue thumb:

It's already sunny this morning and we shall be going to the market before today's stroll.

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

            Good afternoon All,

My goodness yesterday was so busy :phew: but I managed to get everything done & everyone sorted out so I could escape! We are on our way to Edinburgh, (of course I've been into work but at least now my mind is at rest ). My lovely neighbour is looking after the animals & I've watered all my pots & the greenhouse.
We've already stopped off at the services for a sandwich & a cake! :snorky: (I must say the cakes were nice but nothing like as good as Shineyland cake! :snorky:)

It was very grey & wet when we left home this morning, but the further north we are heading the sunnier it is :dbgrtmb:.

I hope you are all well, enjoy your day :grphg:

Good Morning everyone, hope it is going to be a good day today, Amber was set off by a baby fox cub in the garden, it's usually cats with her but obviously the vixen had returned to her lair under Steve's garden shed.
Hope you had a safe journey up to Edinburgh Beckie and have some nice weather while you are there too!
Another day of walks I expect for you Shiney, enjoy yourself.
Sorry to hear you have cracked your ribs Zigs, you will have to take it easy for a while.
Have a good day all, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God bless. :wub2:

                      Good morning,

We had a good drive up to Edinburgh & Kev had booked a nice hotel. We went for dinner last night which was delicious, I then spotted a bridge near the car park so I trotted off Kev in tow to have a look, an hour later we returned to the van after a wonderful walk along the river & through the trees (I had very high boots on but that didn't stop me!) we saw blackbirds, ducks, pigeons, doves & a nightingale. The bird song was absolutely wonderful :dbgrtmb:. The scenery here is super :dbgrtmb: we are now off to have a 'look' around the shops  & get some breakfast :ouch1:.

@shiney please take it easy this afternoon whilst you are mowing :)

@Zigs have a nice time with scrungee :dbgrtmb:

@moyra, have you been feeding the foxes with your scraps?

@CanadianLori I hope you are ok?

@wiseowl i hope all is well in your nest :grphg:

                      Enjoy your day everyone :hapydancsmil:

@Beckie sorry I've been fairly quiet. I have been working. Been out doing onsite check measures and quotes on lots of shades and shutters plus for soft treatments I use a large boiler iron system and industrial equipment and it is much less expensive to use these on the weekends when the electricity rates are lowest. I'm glad to hear you're having a lovely trip. :)

I was out in the yard earlier replacing some of the sprinkler heads in the automatic system - I'll need to adjust them but need the water running to do so. Guess I'll have to wait until the 8 o'clock scheduled run to get nice and soaked :snorky:

I've got one more episode of Corrie to watch/listen to while having a cuppa.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone. And be safe - Please!

Beckie, the fox vixen comes back to the dug out they have made under Steve's shed and she often has litters of 3 or 4. Haven't forgotten three or four years ago seeing what I thought was a badger out in the garden making a lot of noise. Eventually I went out to see what it was all about and it was a fox cub who got his head stuck in an old ice cream tub which is why I thought its nose was white. Anyway caught up with him and released him from the pot and all was well.
I think there is enough baby mice out there for them to feed on without me adding to it.

We had a good 300 mile drive home, unpacked the car and then I went out and mowed all the front lawns and the main back lawn. I did a little bit of weeding, mainly bindweed, and a bit of tying in.

Time to put my feet up with a cuppa :coffee:

                              Aloha everyone,

I'm now playing catch-up and not too keen on the idea. :dunno: I suppose the fact that it's raining will allow me to allocate time to all the paperwork. :phew:

I'll pop out into the garden in-between rain showers and do a few odds and ends. There are a lot of plants that have flopped or are growing the wrong way. They'll all need some work done on them. An urgent job, but a simple one, is a clematis that is about to burst into flower. It has been careless and the top three feet of it hasn't gripped onto the supports (netting around a metal obelisk) and is likely to snap under the weight of the flowers. So I'll loop a piece of string round it, holding it to the netting, until it has hooked itself on. An easy job but when you have over a hundred of them to do it takes time. I'll have to get Mrs Shiney to do some of them that require a lot of bending. Well over a dozen of the hardy geraniums around the edges of the lawns have split open and drooped onto the lawns. The look as though a cat has sat in the middle and they need a loop of string run around them.

Keep well and have a great day

                              Aloha!
