    Good morning all!
After a dry day yesterday, we are back to rain today...

But I've decided to put the fiscuses outside to wash down their leaves, so the rain won't stop me gardening. Apart from that, I have some prunings to bundle up, ready for the council to collect tomorrow. I find it so hard to get motivated when it's raining, though.

          Good morning,

I'm back home now,we had a lovely time in Edinburgh my legs & feet ache from all the walking! We had lunch at Jamies Italian yesterday, it was super, the food was full of flavour :blue thumb:, we had a wander around the shops but neither of us bought anything, we spent quite a lot of time looking at the architecture, there's some wonderful old buildings & cobbled streets as well as lots of bagpipes & entertainment on the streets. It rained quite hard in the afternoon & I have to say we were soaked! that didn't stop us from having one last walk along the river we had found the night before

My flight was delayed but that didn't matter.

I hope you are all well?

@CanadianLori good to see your post, pleased to hear you are ok :dbgrtmb:.

I'd better run, enjoy your day :grphg:

@becky that is a lovely picture. Looks so peaceful. :)

We are hovering in the mid 30c's but looking forward to a thunderstorm the weather guessers have suggested will come today. That will cool things down and give everything a drink from mother nature rather than me having to water.

Going to get lots of my wage earning work done while it's stinking hot and then I'll be ready to play outside on the pleasant days.

Might be going to a place called Whistling Gardens with my friends next week. And visiting a place called Apple Hill Lavender Farm in the same vicinity too :spinning:

Have a safe day everyone please :)

                              Good afternoon WW'ers

@Beckie76 - looks like a beautiful place to find some peace (despite the rain).
@moyra - crikey, you're having the same luck with your car that I've been having with mine. Mine was flooding last year which was put down to the sunroof leaking (fixed). Last month, the car was flooded yet again :wallbanging: This time it was due to blocked something or other which meant the car had to be stripped. So, another nice fat bill  Like you though, it's worth it to me because that is my independence too.
@shiney - glad you had a well earned break away.
@Zigs - ouchie! Hope that rib heals soon!
@liliana - sorry to hear about Pete; hope he heals quickly and hope your health improves too!
@CanadianLori - Think you should have called yourself CanadianCorrie :heehee:
@Sian in Belgium - You may be finding it hard to get motivated in the rain, but, at least you are doing something between showers ;) I can't even motivate myself between the showers :heehee:
@wiseowl - so lovely to read your good wishes each day; know they are always being sent back your way too.

Still very busy here with village things as much as anything else. Pre-parish council meetings; council meetings; charity fashion show; trips out with societies; post 90th celebration celebratory get together's - it's all gone rather mad! If I take Oz for a walk at 6am, I bump into dog walkers who claim they haven't seen me "for ages"; if I take him out at 8am, different people, same comment and if I leave it as late as 9am it takes me 3 times as long because I meet even more people who also want a natter! So, for a good few mornings I've been sneaking out at 4am and get the whole village, woods and fields to myself :phew: :heehee: (but, unlike Shy Knee who can exist on so little sleep, this schedule is wearing me out!).

Seems I'm developing hay fever  and, not one to do things by halves, it also affected my chest  But, the very good news is ... at the outing yesterday evening, I was in a car share with (drum roll, please) a local bee keeper!! :dancy: The idea being if you eat local honey, over a period of time, you build up a resistance to the local pollen which causes the reaction. At today's event this morning, she came along with two jars of her own honey for me. So, worth a go ;)

Other than the above, the final time eater has been researching the whole EU Hokey Cokey business. No mean feat! But, I have decided that I've done as much research as I can and I'm putting no more time into it :nonofinger: other than going to do the deed, of course :phew: I just hope that, which ever way the vote goes, people will accept the result with grace and dignity.

Healing vibes for all who need them and miles of smiles for all xxMxx

                                Good day all,
@Beckie76 yes, that title would fit but one of your countrymen has already rebranded me Lol - he says it is the nick name for us Lorraines :)

I wanted to get the business part of my day out of the way before a little online socializing. On my way back from picking up some supplies, I stopped and made an appointment to do some indoor frebasing - yes, jumping with no strings attached... If I don't post again after tomorrow, you know it ended in a splat :yikes:

Now I get to put on my short pants and go outside to do some tinkering. Going to put hinges on my potting table so that I can fold it up out of the way when not in use and for the winter.

Hope everyone here has a safe day!
