    Good afternoon Folks,

It's a lovely bright day here today (I'm not going to mention the grey cloud to the right of the window!, surely not more rain??).

I gave the baskets, tubs, tomatoes & roses a good soak before I left for work this morning :snorky: I really enjoyed that, the hens were 'helping' they were mainly digging up the drive, they can't resist looking for worms under the stones! :chicken:

My brother & family are enjoying their holiday, they've been very lucky with the weather so far, they've had a couple of rain showers, not that they bothered them because they were inside swimming at the time , not sure what they are doing today.

I hope you are all on top form & enjoying your day. :hapydancsmil:

      Evening all :)

Our Zigs should hopefully be back tomorrow, once his ISP gets their finger out and fixes his problem.

Hope you are all well and happy, and enjoying the nice weather

            Aloha everyone,

I'm not too good at the moment as my chest is a bit raw  (and a bad head ) but I'm not going to let it stop me doing things. :blue thumb: I like to get my moans out of the way early in the morning :heehee:

I did a reasonable amount of work yesterday with three hours of pressure hosing in order to get the main walkway on the patio cleaned up ready for tomorrow. With all the traipsing backwards and forwards in gardening shoes, plus the footfall from Open Day, it gets quite dirty and we need it clean for our event tomorrow evening. I shall mow all the lawns today.

We shall be taking my car in today and swapping it for Mrs Shiney's. She will be out and about so I'm home alone. :rolleyespink: :snork:

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

              Good morning,

It's very overcast here at the moment, but hopefully it will brighten up :fingers crossed:

I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling poorly @shiney :grphg:, please don't overdo it today my friend.

I'm waiting for a delivery so I not going to work until the postman has been :loll::whistle:!

I've got a baby blackbird hopping about the garden, I've warned my cat if he goes anywhere near her there's going to be trouble :nonofinger:

I hope you all have an enjoyable day :grphg:

                  Good morning everyone,
Hope you are feeling better today Shiney, don't overdo things. I have my third go at getting operation done tomorrow. May not be on until after I get home from the hospital as I have to be there in the day ward by 8.00am.

                    Aloha everyone,

                    @moyra good luck today :grphg:

I got a lot of mowing done yesterday :blue thumb:. Not quite the whole garden as the manoeuvring of the heavy mower around all the awkward bits can get tiring after a while. Especially around the blackberry beds with the long blackberry runners trying to grab me! I decided to stop mowing after I had run out of petrol three times. :phew: But the garden is looking good :hapydancsmil:

Michael was here yesterday and cleared out one of our compost heaps and shifted about five cubic yards of compost around the beds. He then took the top half of the next compost heap and dumped it into the empty one, where I then started putting all the clippings onto it. The bottom half of that compost heap is virtually ready for spreading as well but we may leave that for the Autumn. :dbgrtmb:

We had the tables and chairs delivered yesterday for the event this evening. I'll finish the pressure hosing and continue trimming lawn edges - not a lot to go. :) I take a bet, as it's the annual flower club drinks and buffet, the ladies will be wanting plants from around the garden. The Nigella seed heads are looking good and they're perfect for flower arranging. We've got thousands of them!

There's a very slight drizzle at the moment but I've still had to put the sprinkler on the newer beds in order to refresh them. We've hardly had any rain for a month. The watering of the veggie plot has worked wonders and we've had our first courgettes (picked three of them yesterday) and half a pound of runners. Yum Yum!

Keep well and have a great day

                    Aloha!

                      Morning all :)

                      I is back :phew:

My isp, three, let me go over my data limit for 3 days without telling me, charging me over £50

I called them and told them that if i'd known I wouldn't have used it and that i'm not paying for something I didn't ask for.

They gave me a partial refund, but i'll be looking around for a new provider now, it's a licence to print money:gaah:

Off me soap box now :phew:

                      Hope everyone is well :)

                        Good day everyone
I'm just now looking at the posts from yesterday and today and it sounds like this group are pretty busy people.
I moved about a 1/3 of a yard of dirt before my son arrived yesterday and helped me move the last 1&2/3 yards. Got lots of things transplanted. My kelsae onion leaves/fronds whatever those are called sure look sad all flopped over instead of like the tidy ones I've seen here.

It is raining - finally! And now I hear the sprinkler system running... guess I'd better run and shut that off.....:yikes:

                        Have a safe day please!

Hello everyone. Got to the hospital at 8am sharp but didn't go down to the theatre until 3.15. Because I had not eaten since 5.30 the night before and only had a little water to take my medication with my blood sugars dropped dramatically by 1.30 and they had to give me glucose to pick me up again. I eventually came round after having a general anaesthetic about 4.15 and after a slice of toast and a cup of tea was allowed home at 5.15 pm. So third time lucky! Hope everyone else is ok. God bless.
