            Good afternoon :)
A special thank you to our @wiseowl for the special mention ;) :snorky:

I've been beavering away sorting through everything in the airing cupboard and linen cupboard sorting into piles things which will be passed on, things needing repair, things which may well be recycled into other things (double duty!) and then, laundering everything in this perfect drying weather [IMG] Now have a bag of freshly laundered offerings for a charity shop, another pile for mending and another pile for the craft box.

Tomorrows task is to strip the airing cupboard bare of everything (and I mean *everything*), assess the space fully, give it a whitewash and then ... put up shelves and hanging rails where *I* think they should be and where they will maximum storage. I've made some pretty shelf edgings and lavender bags to attach to the shelves/hangers so it will be nicely scented. I do wonder at the rationale of whoever lived here before because it does seem as though they just "put" things in place as opposed to thinking about it first and then "placing" things in their rightful spot to maximise efficiency! :dunno:  Ah well, as my mother used to say: "Man can't put in what God left out" ... and she wasn't wrong there! :heehee: On that note, I must have been at the back of the queue when God was handing out DIY skills; but, if it is only banging a nail in here and there or screwing a few bits together, tomorrow should go without a hitch. :fingers crossed:

[IMG] [IMG] The garden is really starting to exude a wonderful fragrance now that the roses are in bloom, the sweetpeas are flowering like made, the lavender flowers are opening and sun warms up the leaves on the sage, rosemary and thyme and then their fragrance fills the afternoon air. My washing line is at far end of the garden so I have no choice but to walk through that fresh pot pourri of heady scents [IMG] [IMG]

#2 son has just brought me a cuppa (bless him!) so now I'm going to have a few minutes on here before I have to start again :coffee:

Miles of smiles for all and healing vibes for those in need xxMxx

@"M" I need to go lie down for a bit after reading your list... well, no, I need to do some sorting too! We get calls from charities all the time looking for gently used clothes and small household appliances. Okay, you've got me motivated!

Have a super rest of the day everyone!

If I had a choice, I might have gone with the lie down  I've got a meeting with the book club in 10 days and I haven't completed the first chapter yet

Good luck with your sorting, I find it frees the mind as well the cupboard space

                    Good Morning everyone.

Thank you @wiseowl and I hope you have a good day today. That rose is pretty

Good luck with the task you have planned for today @"M" . I'm sure it will be a success.
I am no good at all with DIY myself. I once tried to build a wall, and I got it to about 5 feet high ..... and then the following morning I found it had all fallen into next door's garden :yikes::heehee:
Fortunately there was nothing there but a bare patch of earth, and the lady who owned it had gone away for a while, so I was able to clear it up before she returned :phew:

Good Morning everyone. Michael, glad you saw my Monday caption as funny, it was meant to be even though I do hate Mondays! I never welcomed you to the thread but seeing as you are now fast becoming a regular you are very welcome. 'M' please can I walk down your garden you conveyed the scent across beautifully. Shame about the clearing of the airing cupboard, it made me feel so guilty that I should get on and sort mine! Well done to you for getting yours done.
Zigs, I am sorry that your foot is giving you grief, hope you enjoy your day with Willow but also get something sorted out for your foot. Shiney hope you are feeling better. WOO glad Penny has you sorted, hope all is well in your nest. Lori, see what 'M' has done - got you at it now.

Have a good day all, stay cool but above all SAFE and well in this current climate. God bless.:wub2:

                                Good morning,

I've been missing you all a lot :grphg:. I've been keeping one eye on yawn, yawn, wakey, wakey!

Oh my days! I've been far too busy, there's not really any signs of it calming down either :phew:. Anyway I can't moan there's people out there who can't get a job.

It's a glorious day here, 21.5 C, thankfully not as warm as it has been :dbgrtmb:

Buttercup & Veronica are still broody! :thud:, they are also very vicious :nonofinger:. I've tried putting them in a bowl of cool water but that didn't make any difference, it just made them cross & run around the garden .

My garden isn't looking too bad considering I've hardly done any gardening, I'm keeping the grass cut & the watering up to date.

I shall return properly very soon I hope, in the meantime look after yourselves & keep cool

                                Bx

PS I wonder if this :Wino: was added with me & @CanadianLori in mind! :heehee: Lol
