@"M" sorry to hear your son is being excluded from their house meetings and outings but perhaps it is to his benefit. Who wants their son hanging out with nasty people like that?

It's going to be a cloudy day here but I have lots of things to do and wouldn't have been able to enjoy a sunny day anyway. No loss.... Going to take the carrier in to get the new parts undercoated. The repairs look well done and I am just praying no one else rams into the back of it!

Still need to pot up some seedlings as they are too big for their soil blocks but think I will need to spread out all of my pots (approx. 40) in order to decide which plants are going into what pots.

Going to have lunch with my friend in the home. He enjoys my company and I enjoy the chef prepared lunches. They even make their own pastries. YUM !

Did you not have any from your garden you could have put in? That was the loveliest part of the seed swap for me, having a little bit of another GC'ers garden in my own

 

Thank you for those kind thoughts, @CanadianLori - and to a certain extent, I do agree with you. But, he also needs to find the right way to deal with it because, in the main, they are nice people and something just seems to have gone out of kilter (which happens to us all from time to time). Obviously they are now all final year and the pressure is on, which could be a contributing factor. The balancing trick, from where I'm looking at it is ... to prevent the situation escalating to the point where it blows up for them all. Life for youngsters isn't as easy as we sometimes think and the pressure to get on a grad scheme or have at the very least the same "standard" of job to progress onto as your peers is also there.
I think I may have to plan a surprise visit and a lunch out with him in the next few weeks if I get the vibes that it is needed. I don't really want to enter his world without an invite though; not when the work pressure is also there.
I'm sure it will all work itself out

 

Take a case of toilet paper and tell him to pile it up where everyone can reach. Thar takes away any perceived abuses of community property?

@"M" I have some poppy seeds to put in but that's it! My girls ate a lot of my seeds! Gawd knows what's going to be growing in the middle of the lawn or out of the top of the compost bins!!!

I'm sorry to read your son is having such awful troubles with his housemates, they sound very immature! I hope your son can put up with it a bit longer! My friends daughter is in her second year at uni & believe me she's struggling with some of the boys behaviour in her shared house!

M sorry about your son's situation. Perhaps a contribution of a large pack of T Rolls, will calm the situation, make them feel a bit guilty of accusing him of using them all.

Distinct change in the weather from yesterday (all windows closed).

No walkies today, seems Ozzy has developed a bit of a limp after yesterdays run around. He's happy to rest: a lot!

Aww, bless her. I know it's all part of the so called uni "experience" but it doesn't help when it is someone you are close to. A for your friend.

As the weather is glum, I'm going to have sunshine indoors today playing my favourite CD's while I get the sewing machine earning its keep.

Very windy here but not cold.

My car is full of box hedging! I picked it up yesterday & haven't had time to take it out of the car yet I worked late last night then had an early start . The box is taller than I thought but maybe I can give it a trim to reduce the height.

Oooh, that's interesting! Do you sew clothing then?
My sewing is to utilise some Laura Ashley fabric samples I was kindly given when they were throwing out their sample books (a few years ago ) to make some cushion covers for the sofas and the smaller samples are being patched together to make a quilted throw for the backs of the sofas. I get bored very easily, so I just work a bit at a time. It was very exciting when I found them in the loft in a packing box (we moved here in 2014) but it's taken a while to get my office/craft room into any kind of workable space for the different things I dabble in.
My mother's side of the family were extremely good with a needle but I think I was at the back of the queue when God was handing those genes out so I just muddle along, fudging stuff It keeps me out of trouble
