      Aloha everyone,

@wiseowl but not if the moth has drunk it all :rolleyespink:

@moyra don't worry, it adds flavour to the tea :heehee:

I've done my gardening for today and have upset Sarafi. When I went out there at 5.30 he was fast asleep (as fast asleep as cats ever are) in the greenhouse but when he heard me out there he climbed down off his shelf, came outside and had a good stretch and then came up to me and asked for his breakfast. All he got was a minute of scratching under his chin. He enjoyed that bit but wasn't at all impressed that I then didn't give him some food! We only give him any meat/chicken scraps we have and then it's only in the evening. This doesn't stop him from demanding something in the morning. He's back on his shelf now and will usually remain there until the afternoon.

Mrs Shiney was a little better yesterday and wanted to get out in the garden and do some things. She did the watering but then had to come back in because it was so hot out there :phew:

      Off to meetings soon.

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

          Good afternoon,

I had a fantastic day yesterday I washed all the downstairs plastic on the outside of the house & cleaned all the windows downstairs....I know it's a bit strange but that job gives me so much pleasure! The field at the back of the house has been combined so it should keep clean for a few weeks!

Kev gained a log splitter! It wasn't working, but after taking it apart & spending £6 it's now running beautifully.....the front garden which was already covered in cr@p now has a big pile of cut logs added to it.....still I can't moan split logs are more attractive than piles of logs!!!! That area is on my list of jobs to do, I just need to workout how I'm going to do it!.

I'm at work today, but thankfully I'm not under much pressure :phew:.

Hilda my top hen is going to the vets tomorrow, I think she has egg yolk peritonitis , I hope I can get her some meds :fingers crossed:. She's 4 years & 8 months old which is a reasonable age for a hen.

I hope you are all ok :grphg:

            Good day everyone
It's been a busy few days for me. Lots of baking to do for birthdays and lunches and kids and grandkids visiting and on and on... A good time was had by all. We all went to visit my friend in the home too and he was delighted. He gets quite prideful when our bunch flock into the place and the rest of the residents envy him his company. We probably look like a large tour group when we convoy. :)

Going to finally get around to dumping my potato planter. I had accidentally knocked a planter onto it and broke many of the stems and growth has definitely halted. Hopefully there will be something to salvage :rolleyespink:

            Have a safe day all!

                  Aloha everyone,

But @wiseowl , that will make the hat go soggy!

Cooler here today so I may get a bit more done in the garden. The plants are really suffering from this drought so I've got the sprinkler going on the flower beds.

My meetings went well and we got a lot done. I've managed to palm off a couple of jobs to other people, including the tough task of applying for a lottery grant :phew: :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

                      Good day everyone
Its looks to be a bright sunny day and forecast to be the last "seasonal temperature day" before a heat wave strikes us for the rest of the week.

@Zigs please, a report on what Nurse Joy has to say about your foot?

@shiney how is Mrs. S. ? I hope she is starting to feel better.

Heavens, it's already nearly 8, the day is half over - better get my skates on and get outside!:gaah:

Please have a safe day everyone and stay out of the heat. The risk of heat stroke should be taken seriously. :paladin:

Nurse Joy said the bandages can come off but the skin is still very thin and I won't be able to play the Cello.

                                Aloha everyone,

I had a good bonfire late last night. :blue thumb: It was seven foot high and five foot in diameter and went up like a rocket :hate-shocked:. I'd hosed down all the trees surrounding the area before starting and had it at the ready if needed. Nice neighbour brought all his rubbish over to add to it. :blue thumb: Sarafi came to have a look and then walked off in disgust!

Keep well and have a great day
