Good morning everyone. Well done 'M' on your No 1 son's graduation. No start on my kitchen yet, but they did take a whole length of my garden wall down yesterday as it was cracking under subsidence. So it is all happening here. They have put up a temporary metal fencing which son has covered in his old dust sheets to give the garden some privacy, tres elegant ne pas!
Have a good time in Holland 'M' enjoy your canal trip. Lori, sorry about your friend's treatment in the home, hope they sort it out.
Have a good time everyone, stay safe and well, beautiful picture WOO, thank you. God bless.

              Good day everyone
@moyra I hope your renovations are performed well and quickly.
@"M" I hope your visit is all you expect - pictures to come?

Got lots sorted out in the cellar yesterday. And a good place to be as it was brutally hot and humid. This is a pic from the advertisement and it looks just as pictured.

Didn't realise it was total blackout until I tested the light on the timer and thought it wasn't working .... until I unzipped the door.... I foresee having plenty of seedlings in there just after Christmas - and may even start some tomatoes in there before :)

Have a safe day everyone :)

                  Good Evening WW'ers

                  Thank you @moyra  :spinning:
Crikey, you do have a lot going on! I did chuckle at the Steve's dust sheets, but hey, privacy is privacy! :blue thumb: Hope they don't take too, too long getting your kitchen sorted; it is one of the "essential" rooms in the home :grphg:
Thank you Lori. I did have a wonderful day but it really was a long one :phew: Boarded the coach at 0645 and returned home 2015hrs!! Which, when you consider we only had 4 hours in Middelburg, was a LOT of coach!! :heehee:
The trip was very well organised, with a quiz to keep us entertained both on the way there and again on the return. The coach driver was full of little tidbits and facts along the way; not to mention some very corny jokes which, under other circumstances wouldn't have raised an eyebrow let alone a titter, but, as is the way with outings, the coach folk thought them highly amusing :heehee:. The best part was: I got my canal trip!!!!! :hapfeet::hapydancsmil: Hadn't realised I was taking our lives in my hands though ... :th scifD36: ... the first four bridges we went under were so low we all had to duck!! :roflol:
I do love the Dutch, they are such an open and friendly people and the whole atmosphere was totally relaxed (yet efficient!), nothing was too much trouble and (bonus!) they all spoke English :phew: The weather was fantastic. Even though it was a hot day, the breezes coming up the canal took the edge off so it was still a very comfortable time.
I will post some pictures, but, I haven't uploaded them to the computer yet and I didn't take many. The one picture I should have taken (but didn't; dead battery) was of the beautiful church in the market square; fascinating architecture!

Your grow tent looks fabulous!!! I'll be looking forward to reading of your successes with it :blue thumb:

@Zigs good luck with the church plastering
@shiney - hope you have a successful Saturday meal out with your friend and good health continues to follow them!
@wiseowl thank you for yesterday's sunrise; I missed it in real time so your photo was much appreciated

                  Smiles and vibes xxMxx

Good morning everyone. Steve has replaced his dust sheets with two large dark green tarpaulin, much nicer and perfect for the job especially as it is due to rain all day. I did chase up about the fencing yesterday and was told they were still arguing over the financial responsibility of it. I told her in no uncertain terms I didn't want to be asking the same questions come Christmas. She said she thought it would be sorted in a couple of weeks. Then there is just the problem of geeing up the Bulgarian who is supposed to be doing my kitchen...........think I need to go away for a holiday and come back when it is all done, oh how I wish that I could.
Have a lovely day all, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God bless. :wub2:

                              Good morning,

I've been helping with admin on another forum, it's nothing like this forum, there's a lot of bitching & upset, I've been trying to calm it down but I wonder if the rot has set in & if I will ever solve it! Anyway its worth a try.

Kev is a lot better, you may recall he had troubles with his arms, they are both now back to normal use within a bit. This week kevs porcelain filling has vanished! We think he must have swollowed it!

We had a lot of rain over night, I'm hoping it was enough for me to be able to dig some holes for the roses I bought weeks ago, it's so dry here I've not been able to dig!

I still have two broody hens, they are coming out of the coop a bit more now but they don't seem to be able to break the broody habit

I'd better get a wriggle on, housework, grocery shopping & work to do today.

I hope you are all well, enjoy your day :grphg:
