Happy belated Birthday Beckie, sorry it's late but nobody gave me the nod.

Good morning everyone, the fitter didn't turn up until 20 mins to 12 o'clock and then left
before 5 pm. He excuse for being late in the morning was that he had a tyre blow out and no spare and had to wait until he was rescued by a friend. Then when he started to go home his van wouldn't start, his battery was flat and Steve had to use my jump leads and my car to get him going. So he has a ready made excuse for not turning up today unless he thinks to put his battery on charge overnight. I feel like giving up!
Have a good day everyone, stay safe and well, God bless. :wub2:

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

The rain finally arrived here yesterday afternoon, all the water butts are full for the first time in months and the garden's had a good soaking. :yay:

Mrs Trunky is recovering nicely, she had a good night's sleep and is much more chirpy this morning, she'll be ordering me around again in no time. :heehee: I'm just waiting for her to put in her breakfast order at the moment.

The kittens have appointed themselves unofficial guardians during her convalescence and are keeping her company and entertaining her in equal measure. I can hear them galloping about upstairs right now. :rolleyespink:

        Have a good day.

Winds dropped and the sun is coming round

          More fighting brambles today :paladin:

Have a good day everyone, and don't trigger any articles just yet :)

@Zigs Is it OK as long as I don't trigger more than 49 of them?

Good luck with that @Zigs, make sure you keep on top of them afterwards or you'll have to start again from scratch. :psnp:

                        Goooooooood morning! :spinning:

Lovely, lovely, rain this morning (almost 24hrs of the lovely stuff ... bet I won't be saying *that* after 40 days/nights  ). No full water butts here, Mr "M" hasn't fixed them up yet, bless him; still, it's only been 2 years :shakehead:

@shiney hope your dental appointment went well; seeing as it's student day, maybe leave the diet until after that? :heehee:

@Trunky glad to hear Mrs T had a better night; I bet she's loving having the kittens around her, I remember how entertaining the little ones can be :cat-kittyandsmiley:

@moyra it's never clear cut, is it :grphg: hopefully he'll turn up to day and complete the job so you won't have the worry of him any more. My guess is that he's juggling a couple of jobs at the same time, hence his half days ;)

@Zigs 0530hrs is a wonderful time of day! :heehee:

@Beckie76 - Hope you enjoyed a fab day yesterday and it continues the whole weekend (I take it this was a special "0" birthday?)

After yesterday's flops were turned into successes (loaves came out like bricks; transformed into Bread and Butter Pudding), I think the best compliment for my endeavours came while I was asleep? Mr "M" returned home from work - usually goes straight to bed - to be met by #1 son telling him there was some B&B Pud in the fridge for him. So, clearly bed could wait while it was reheated and then gobbled all up :heehee:

Today is an "in" day (bit soggy out there) and I need to go in the loft and find my "Autumn/Halloween" box so I can decorate the front door accordingly. When the rain eases off I plan to go for a walk and see what else I can gather to make decorative arrangements with.

As always, smiles and vibes xxMxx

                          Good morning,

It's still raining here :hapydancsmil: the garden is getting a lovely drink :Wino:.....oh whoops that's @Zigs not my garden! :heehee: Anyway where was I? Hopefully I will be able to plant some bulbs now we've had some rain :dbgrtmb: who knows I might even get the roses in which I bought several weeks ago!

                          @"M" there was no "0" involved this year  I'm still 39!!! It's just pronounced differently...39 plus 1, :lunapic 130165696578242 5:,.

Best I get my butt in gear, I have a lot to do today.

                          Enjoy your day everyone :ccheers:

The fitter did not turn up and no word from him or the landlady to whom I have sent an e-mail asking whether he was going to turn up tomorrow as all he has done is two half days. No fun living with the whole of the kitchen equipment etc covering all the armchairs except Amber's one. Talking about whom I should take her out for another walk in a little while.

Really sorry to hear that @moyra :grphg:
That hits on two of my pet hates: people who don't turn up and can't be bothered to let you know (very rude :nonofinger: ) and spending a weekend in chaos due to revamps/decorating/building work.
                                You have my every sympathy!
Hope you get a satisfactory response from your landlady.
