Good morning everyone, well another day with nothing done, who said they thought the fitter must be on another job, I reckon he could have done at least another two when he has not been here. Didn't show at all yesterday and got the landlady to phone me to say he would not be in with some feeble excuse about waiting on the new floor covering. There were other jobs to get on with. Shall be glad when my washing machine is back in place. Any suggestions for how to cope with just a round bowl sink and no draining board?!! I shall not have any hair left when or should I say if this job gets done.
I hope everyone else is ok. Have a good day all stay safe and well, God bless.:wub2:

      Aloha everyone,

@moyra I hope he turns up today. :)

It's a beautiful sunny, but chilly morning. I have another funeral to go to today  so won't get much gardening done.

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

        Good morning WW'ers :spinning:

If it is for your dishes to drain on, could you put up your ironing board and then put a couple of thick towels on it? :dunno: Really sorry to hear he is playing around and not getting on with the job. They have no understanding of the stress it causes, do they!

        :grphg:

I actually slept through the whole night last night! :yahoo: Even then, I managed to "over sleep" from the time I prefer to be awake  Consequence being, Ozzy had to cross his legs this morning :heehee: :doggieshmooze: but at least it is a gorgeous sun shiney day out there

Special thoughts to @wiseowl this morning; hoping all our fellow WW'ers are in good health and good cheer.

Miles of smiles and healing vibes for all in need of them xxMxx

          Good evening everyone,
I hope everyone had a safe day. I have kept busy with domestic chores, taking my sister shopping and all while a soft rain was taking care of my gardens. :)

I will be working tomorrow to take advantage of the low time of use rates for electricity. Just a small job so will have sunday off to bake and watch my show. Isn't life grand?

Sleep well and see you on the sunny side :)

              Gooooooood morning fellow WW'ers!!! :spinning:

Bit of a freshness in the air this morning, which is a good thing at this time of year (especially for Ozzy :doggieshmooze:, yes, I'm being selfish here :heehee: )

It's youngest son's last day at home today (boo!) so we're just doing the last minute things e.g. he's just told me he has two items which need buttons sewing on  So, I shall do one while teaching him how to do the other ;) (remember: "M" does not stand for "Maid" :heehee: ). We'll be having a lazy BBQ today so they can grill what they want when they want it because we've all got things to be getting on with.

Erm ... it was *for* a special occasion :roflol: *YOU* :heehee:

Have you tried diatomaceous earth? You need to dust the girls *and* every nook and cranny of the coop too. I hold my girls upside down and dust them all over regularly throughout the Spring/Summer. :chicken: Do wear some mouth/nose protection because you really don't want to be inhaling it yourself :nonofinger:

              Indeed! :)

Had to shave my cat, Echo, because he had some pretty unpleasant knots in his fur. Despite regular grooming, it seems to be something he needs each Summer, but this year has been the worst ever! I've started to wonder if it could be exacerbated by ... static! So, I have some pretty cotton fabric, which just happens to have a cat design on it and will be getting on with making some slip covers for the cushion which lines his basket. Hopefully that will create less static than the one he has now? :dunno: He is looking rather pathetic, and naked, but it must be a relief to be rid of the matted bits? :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Smiles and vibes for all xxMxx

Good morning everyone, looks nice and fresh out there this morning. I have flooring down in the kitchen now and a washing machine that works and the oven too. Just got to get Steve to finish the tiling then we can start to clear the lounge hopefully by the end of the weekend it will only leave the fitter to do the kick boards round the units and handles on all the cupboards on Monday, fingers crossed. Hope I am not being too optimistic.
Have a good day everyone. Stay safe and well. God bless.:wub2:

                  Aloha everyone,

Another beautifully sunny day. Yesterday turned out quite warm and they're forecasting 24C today.

The funeral went OK yesterday. Afterwards, quite a bit of reminiscing went on but there weren't a great deal of us oldies left to talk amongst ourselves and most of them hard of hearing or struggling to walk with sticks or walkers :old:

Whereas, at bridge last night there were a lot of players in their mid to late eighties who were all hale and hearty. :blue thumb:

The workers still haven't returned to fill in the hole in the road but they will need to have done it by the end of tomorrow, when their current (4th) permit runs out, or they will be fined a large sum.

I picked a load of Conference pears yesterday and they are the sweetest tasting I can remember. I'll try and pick some plums today or tomorrow, if I have time.

I'm off to a bridge tournament today but will be lucky to come into the running - although I shall enjoy it anyway.

Best wishes to @wiseowl for a speedy recovery. :grphg:

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

                    Morning early people :)

Not been around much this week, shed load of work on, literally. Don't know if I showed you what we put up and painted?

                    DSCI1101.JPG

Been repairing the stone wall round the same garden too.

Got an entire garden to remove next week :yikes:

Have a good day everyone :)

                      Good morning

I have only just got up! I didn't wake up once in the night, I was so tired last night but I feel refreshed & ready to go this morning :hapfeet:.

@"M" I've used DE in the coop & on the girls, I've taken the coop apart covered it with red mite spray, left it to dry & then used DE all over it! The numbers are reducing but I'm not on top of it yet :paladin:, I'm wondering about buying a plastic coop  apparently red mite are easier to keep at bay in those because there's nowhere for the pesky beasts to hide! Having said that they are quite expensive......so for the time being I will continue to fight :paladin:.

@moyra I do hope your kitchen is finished on Monday :fingers crossed:.

                      @wiseowl :grphg:

@shiney enjoy your bridge tournament today :dancy:

I've got some catching up jobs to do at work today, then tomorrow I'm working with kev......there's no rest for the wicked! ;)

                      Enjoy your day :grphg:

                        Good day everyone
My boiler iron if firing up and I will be starting work shortly. Need to do these pesky wage earning jobs once in awhile else I wouldn't have play money :heehee:

@Beckie76 I agree with @"M" enjoy your present :Wino:

@moyra I am glad to hear that you're almost back up to being fully operational :fingers crossed:

@shiney my goodness, your situation reminds me of the movie "the trouble with Harry" except with a leak issue instead of a body :heehee:

@Zigs very nice shed. As usual, I am always amazed at the size of the properties over there considering the size of the land and population density. Not a blade is wasted :wow:

Have a safe day all :)

I sold 3 Omlet Eglu's (with runs) on Ebay when I moved here 2 years ago; have a gander, you never know when one will pop up. I kept the Cube though and it really does make a difference to red mite infestations.

                            Aloha everyone,

It's a very mild morning, just like summer :heehee:, and the sun is coming out after a little rain.

The bridge tournament went well and we had a very enjoyable day. We were in contention at the top until the last match but, sadly, lost that one so didn't end up in the prizes. All the matches were very friendly :dbgrtmb:

We've a busy day today, with a lot of cousins, so I shan't be around much.

The hole in the road has been filled in and, hopefully, no more leaks. :blue thumb:

Keep well and have a great day

Good Morning everyone, The Kitchen is coming on slowly am hoping that Steve will finish the tiling today leaving me to sort the stuff through in the lounge. the fitter should be back Monday to fit the kick boards and door handles and paint the rest of the kitchen not tiled. So surely by next Tuesday or Wednesday all should be complete.
Have a good day everyone, take care, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God bless.:wub2:
