Got 2 numbers on Wednesday's lottery, which gave me a free ticket for last night's draw.

Just checked that and I won £25 :yay::hapfeet::yay:

        Good morning,

Mr Owl is back :hapydancsmil:the last few nights when I've gone to bed I've heard him calling to his mate, she is very quick to call back :wub2:, at 1.42 am I think they were both in the garden although I couldn't see them from my bedroom window, kev woke up & asked me what I was doing, as soon as I told him he was soon out of bed looking out of the window but he couldn't see them either, the moment we got back into bed they were calling again it was lovely to hear :), I laid awake for what seemed like ages listening to them :).

Buttercup & Veronica are sarting to come out of the coop a bit more now, I can't believe they have been broody for so long, they are both skin & bone, they look like exbatts , Veronica is eating like a pig, hopefully she will put on some weight before the cold weather.

I'm off to meet kev at work for a few hours now, he went in early this morning to finish washing the steel beams in the roof of one of the buildings which is having a revamp, (a new roof & fresh lick of paint). The painting couldn't take place until the beams were washed, I think kev is enjoying having something different to do, don't get me wrong he loves his job but I think it does us all good to do something different every now & then :dbgrtmb:

Best I get a move on :hapfeet:

        Enjoy your day :hapydancsmil:

          Good day everyone,
Sounds like everyone is enjoying progress in one way or another. :)

I've got a busy day ahead of me so will be brief.

Have a safe and productive day :)

            Good morning (just) fellow WW'ers

Blue day here, Mr "M" left early this morning to take youngest son back to Swansea *wibble*. Even though #1 son is still here, the house feels so empty! Youngest has already had a text from one of his housemates to say: "The house isn't all that!" so, even if he were a smidgen happy about returning (which he isn't) that didn't help. But, as I tried to point out to him, this year will fly by and he won't ever have to return to Swansea again, unless he chooses to for pleasure.
I think I'm far more worried about them being out on the roads than anything else; I must be getting old because the motorways are beginning to become scary places (either that or I just happen to tune into the radio/news only when accidents happen ... they do seem rather prolific at the moment)!

On a more positive note, looks like we may get some wet stuff today, which will be great for the shrubs I moved, bulbs and flowers I planted yesterday :dbgrtmb:

 :yay:  What fun!!!! Add that to your Amazon voucher and you can have a mini spending spree

Good morning everyone, all right own up who gave me this stinking cold. A raw throat stuffed up ears and nose and streaming eyes. Tiling is all finished, hope to get the painting done, bet the fitter wont be back. So it might be done to us to finish it off.
Have a good day all, take care keep warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.:wub2:

                  Aloha everyone,

Yesterday was a very good day with our meet up of some of the cousins. We went down to a cousin's house near Folkestone and had a good drive there and back. We detoured on the way back as it was only 11 p.m. and went into London to an all night deli to pick up a load of goodies.

Mrs Shiney is off on a coach trip to Leeds Castle today and they have their flower festival on.

                  @moyra wish you better :grphg:

@wiseowl Good to see you on here and hope you're feeling better :grphg:

Well guess what the Bulgarian came back with another little fellow also Bulgarian. They managed to finish up. Mainly the little fellow doing all the work. Steve is furious as the big one decided to do the siliconing of the tiles and also wiped over the tiles with a dirty paint covered rag thus wrecking his grouting. Still Landlady is coming out this afternoon to see the finished job so I am leaving everything as it is and she can see the state we have been living in. Steve has gone to work. Cold is a lot worse today so I am feeling pretty poorly. Hope everyone else is ok and steers clear of these rotten colds going round.
Have a good day, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless. :wub2:

                            Good Evening fellow WW'ers

@moyra I do hope you've reported all this to your landlady and her inspection went well?

Been a busy bee but now my eyes ache and I'm weary. Notified today that our road is being closed off on Friday for road/drain repairs; typical! A few of the neighbours have got together to put on a Coffee Afternoon for charity on Friday, in the village hall (opposite me) and now the whole main road into the village is being closed off! Anyone choosing to walk there will have to navigate the road works so :fingers crossed: it doesn't put paid to what promised to be a busy afternoon.

Ah well, these things are sent to try us :rolleyespink:

                                Aloha everyone,

It's windy and looks as though it might rain at any minute. The garden still needs the rain and I have stored the sprinkler and hoses away for the winter. The only part of the garden that I can dig in is the veggie patch as that has been watered regularly and though dry is still diggable.

We have yet another funeral to go to today  and have to travel up to London for it.

Keep well and have a great day
