His name's not Bill!

 

Aloha everyone,

Although it was a nippy start yesterday we had a lovely warm and sunny day and I got a lot done in the garden.

The town that the chiropodist is in is one that I rarely go to as the traffic and parking is awful. The chiropodist has his own parking spaces for his clients but not enough for me to be able to leave my car there and go into the shops. This time I decided that, as it was early in the morning, I would go into the shops and parked in the multi-storey car park of the shopping mall. I don't like parking in those places because I have a large car and the allocated space for each car is quite narrow, and I have difficulty opening my door wide enough (have to be careful of my back when getting out of a car). This time I was able to get on the end of a row so I had plenty of space.

I walked through to the high street and went into the only independent travel agent in the town. I've been booking many holidays with them over the years but have never actually seen them. I, originally, negotiated a special discount with them (can't do that with the major agents) on the basis that I will find out everything I need to know about what holiday we want and just pass the booking over to them. This has worked superbly over the years . So when I went in there I introduced myself. I only had to mention my name and the staff all knew who I was because I'm their only customer that they have never met. As it was early they were not busy so we sat down, with a cuppa, and had a nice chat. All of them are lovely girls . So now we can all put faces to names.

I'm busy sorting out last minute things for the big tournament I'm running at the weekend. I'm just organising the helpers to help set the hall up on the day as there are lots of tables and chairs to be put out and loads of other things to get ready. It's an annual event that I've been running for 41 years. So I think I know by now what's needed

It's another lovely sunny morning

But I was working on it - in my head

I hope #1's interview went well

I went out with sister and B-i-L for a meal to celebrate his birthday (Mrs Shiney was at one of her flower clubs). It was a good meal with very pleasant staff and service at one of the big chains (Miller and Carter).

Today I'm having to go out for lunch with an accountant that I give some advice to. He's paying . It's a hard life!
