I'm up and hobbling around as it's too painful to continue sitting. Just waiting for my painkillers to dissolve before taking them. But my brain is working OK

It's another frosty and bright morning. Although it was very cold yesterday it was a winter record for our solar panels and produced 16.42 kWh. That's better than a lot of the summer days!

@wiseowl This is what I can't do

Yesterday was my worst day for my back. I could get into my armchair, with my feet up, and not feel too uncomfortable but I couldn't get up again without help, and was in agony for a while each time. Once up, I couldn't straighten up for a short time and needed help to get walking - not a good thing when you need to rush to the loo! . Mrs Shiney knew that I wasn't well as I had to cancel going to bridge!!!!

This is what I can do

Mrs Shiney, also not well , had some healer friends round and they worked on me last night . I had a much easier night and was able to get up, painfully, out of my chair without help this morning. I'm walking, with difficulty, and able to get around so can leave Mrs Shiney sleeping

Chiropractor coming this afternoon

I have a county league bridge match tonight which can't be postponed. I'm supposed to be taking my team 30 miles to the match but we've asked them to come over here and they have agreed.

Oh! There's also one thing I can do... I can moan, as I have a degree in that!

I'm going to enjoy moaning this afternoon as I received our insurance renewal notices yesterday. House, house contents and both cars (all with the same company) have gone up by approx. 20%. I'm not standing for that! A few firm, but polite, words with them will be the start. Then, my usual shopping around by phone (I don't do it on-line as I always like to specify what cover I want and not just plump for the package that is nearest to it). I usually set aside half a day for that but I'll just work for as long as I can sit at my desk. I can always continue another day.
