    Morning early people :)

Nice not having to get up at 6 this morning

Busy week on the roof, got most of the work done, just some valleys to re lead, then painting windows and facias before the scaffold comes down :phew:

One of @willow s Oyster mushrooms for breakfast :) DSCI0027.JPG

    Yummy :)

Have a good day everyone :)

        Good day all,
The weatherman lied about yesterday. The sun never shone until mid-afternoon so I was working out there in cloudy 36f/2c conditions. That cold will make one work faster than the application of a whip and chair! Those little nuts and bolts are difficult to handle with stiff fingers so I had to keep warming them on a mug of hot tea.:)

He (the weatherman) claimed it will be sunny today so I'm going to get the upstairs hoovered and cleaned so I can go outside to play in the sun this afternoon. :) If he has lied again, I will clean the main floor this p.m. instead. :frown:

Have a safe and wonderful day all- if I get some sunshine, I shall try to forward it to you too :)

Good afternoon my GC WW friends

I've had a lovely walk this morning. I was tempted to go out when the mist was still hanging but got side tracked with housey things so Oz had to wait. Then the sun came out and we went to the woods; heavenly!

Sat on my bench on the patio when I got home and noticed another pair of blue tits eyeing up the bird house I moved recently. They have only been eyeing it up since I moved the potted Thuja away from nearby so I'm guessing they didn't like the view then :heehee:

Before I came back indoors, I could here "pip-pip-pip" coming from the Shy Knees bird box and the parents visiting with food. It's all very humbling watching them.

@Trunky - blimey! :hate-shocked: 30 years?! You *are* a slow learner :pathd: Never mind, sounds like you've got the hang of it now (Mrs T must be so relieved :phew: ). Glad your hand is continuing to heal.
As for Jeremy Vile, a few years ago, I was shocked to walk into the lounge to see my lads watching it (impressionable teens and all that). I needn't have worried, they were laughing so hard and responded with: "best lessons in how *not* to behave, EVER!" :roflol:

Speaking of which, the other evening I was chatting to #1 son on the phone when he suddenly stopped mid-flow and I heard him say: "You alright, fella? Need a hand?" and he promptly said goodbye, he'll call back soon and hung up on me! :noidea: He called back a few moments later and apologised for cutting me short and explained: a man in a wheelchair was wheeling himself along the canal path, quite briskly, hit a lump of soft earth, capsizing and falling out of the wheelchair. #1 son helped to right the wheelchair and support him back into it. I felt soooooo proud of him!! And told him so. That lad has been through the wringer and back (on all fronts) the past few months and yet, his knee-jerk reaction is still to lend a helping hand to someone needing it.

Anyway that's enough waffling on. Healing vibes to all who need them and miles of smiles for all xxMxx

Brilliant. :yay: You're quite rightly proud. :blue thumb:

Pleased to hear that it's giving them a good home. :) When it comes time to clean the house the front panel unscrews :blue thumb:

                Thank you

Excellent  When is the best time of year to clean them? Yes, yes, I know *after* the chicks have fledged :heehee: And, should it just be a very diluted bleach solution?

Morning all. It's a frosty start here, but the sun is up now and it's a lovely morning.

We're off to see oldest daughter today, she moved into her new house a couple of days ago and we want to have a good nose around the place.

Hope everyone is well, have a good day.

                            Aloha everyone,

I got some more gardening done yesterday (Mrs Shiney got a lot done :blue thumb:) and I did another 100ft of edge trimming and a reasonable amount of raking - but leaving it for Mrs S. to pick it all up.

I also had a long chat with BT over our phone and Broadband charges. We have paper bills from them although the deals we have are for accessing our accounts on line (because they messed up our access some years ago and couldn't correct it). Their computer automatically charges for paper bills (£1.70 per month) and they used to give us a credit for it but the computer won't allow it any more!

So I started negotiating for other discounts. They, eventually, agreed to drop the Anytime Rate on each phone by £2.50 per month and our internet charge by £7.50 per month. £107 p.a. less - Result!! :dbgrtmb:

Be careful about using four letter words :rolleyespink: :heehee:

I had something similar happen sometime before the middle of the last century - but it wasn't my shoulders! ;) :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Keep well and have a great day

                            Aloha!

                                Morning early people :)

Frosty start here too, but the sun is just coming round

Started sowing stuff in the greenhouse yesterday, more to do today.

Putting some debris netting along the fence to keep the wind off the veg plot, it was destroying things last year.

Have a good day everyone and don't dilly dally on the way :spinning:
