    Good morning Wakey-Wakers :spinning:

No frost or snow here this morning, just a beautiful sunny one. Mind you, it is clouding over now and rain is forecast but now my daily outings are over the weather can please itself. Plenty to be getting on with on the homefront today.

Chicken and Egg: @Beckie76 you are quite right, chooks will eat their own eggs and don't always wait for them to break before they tuck in :chicken: Those hens are the ones no one wants. Cooked egg changes it though and so doesn't appear to encourage chooks to begin breaking open raw eggs. I always cook the shells and then grind them up and pour the chips back into their feed bucket - a good way to get extra calcium back into their diet.
@Anthony Rogers - I think the general thought is that it would be unethical to feed your hens leftover cooked chicken ;) Actually you are not meant to feed your domestic hens leftovers *any* description! That is why, when my hens get 'human' food, I only buy my hens the very best quality foods I can afford for them and my family and I eat their leftovers
In fact, it was the practise of feeding farming animals animal products which was a contributing factor in Mad Cows Disease.
Clearly, in years gone by and when farms were smaller and people kept animals in their gardens and fed them leftovers, it was quite a different matter and scale.

Now, the conundrum of the day: do I drive over to Beckies for some left over free range scrambled egg or to woo's for a sausage roll and a jam tart?   :dunno: Decisions, decisions!!

Healing vibes and miles of smiles xxMxx

I guess that would be the LAMMA show Beckie at the East of England showground?

My daughter will be there next week helping to man one of the trade stands. She says it's always a cold one at the best of times, so your Kevin has my sympathy, it must have been perishing there today! :yikes:

A day for keeping busy at work, with a strong northerly gale accompanied by sleet showers. Had to break out the long thermal pants, donkey jacket and the hat with ear flaps. And no, you're not going to see photos of me wearing that lot.

Yes Kevs been at LAMMA, he said the grass areas are very boggy, do tell your daughter it's boggy, she will certainly need her Wellington boots by the sound of things, I hope the weather warms up in time for the show.
I got very excited at the thought of a photo of you in your warm gear :heehee: Kev had his thermals on, jeans, t-shirt, jumper, all in one padded overalls & a high vis jacket.....what more could a wife want?? :roflol: Joking aside you will need to wrap up warm again tomorrow the wind is really strong here tonight :dbgrtmb:.

@wiseowl I fancy a sausage roll & a jam tart, I hope there's still some left? If you fly over with them I shall make the scrambled egg!
@"M" think we both need scrambled eggs for breakfast, I shall make enough for us & the hens! :dbgrtmb:

Good morning everyone, sure is a cold one this morning. Must get my fur boots out. Not looking forward to walking Amber, but if it is dry that is better than wet and cold. Still dark yet to take her out.
Have a good day all, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless. :wub2:

                        Morning all:spinning:

Flipping cold here, even with the heating on.

OH now has a shaved toe :hate-shocked:, the podiatrist took away all the hard skin on
his toe, she had to stop half way down as the blood vessel was prominent(should
have been more embedded:yikes:. OH say's that his toe feels a lot better. He will
now have more regular visits, he is entitled to them as he had a quad bypass, no-one
told him that 4 years ago when he had the op. :nonofinger:

At least that is one less thing for him to moan about. :heehee:

Shadow is snoring like a trooper, on her blanket next to my feet. :roflol:

Off to craft class today, getting to be quite a meeting, more eating and drinking
than crafting:yes:, still, I do get a bit of knitting done, and am teaching a
couple of ladies how to knit.

                        Keep warm and safe.

                          Morning WW'ers :spinning:

Glorious sunshine this morning and Ozzy's walk this morning was lovely. Came across another dog walker so we walked together and the dogs had great fun chasing one another and wearing themselves out.

And very nice they were too, my compliments to the Chef!

:heehee: Enjoy your food, drink and chatter

@Beckie76 - sorry I missed out on the scrambled egg leftovers (I was too busy scoffing sausage rolls and jam tarts  ).

It's so wonderful to have sunshine pushing through after all the consecutive days of grey darkness and gloom; feeds the optimism gene to the brim :love30:

Anyway, there is a sewing machine in the corner with my name on it and a deadline to meet, sooooo, I'll just finish my cuppa and browsing and then I really must get a wiggle on :coffee:

I hope you are all on top form this morning? :hapfeet:It's lovely to see the sunshine  it's still quite chilly here, but the hearings on & I have a cuppa on the go :coffee:

My bird feeders were almost empty this morning, my Robin & sparrows were singing for their breakfast, I filled up the feeders & within seconds they were full of birds :dbgrtmb:

The hens had warm porridge for their breakfast, I mixed income hen food & it was gone in a flash!

We were almost out of heating oil yesterday so I rang & ordered some more saying I was almost out & probably wouldn't have enough for the weekend, the lady on the phone was ever so nice she said I will have it to you by Monday if not before, it was delivered at 7am this morning, brilliant service :dbgrtmb:

Best I get on, enjoy your day & do your best to keep warm & stay safe :grphg:

Good Morning WOO and all to follow. Amber is mithering to go out having had her breakfast but it needs to be a bit lighter for me to risk going out.
