Good Morning everyone, Not very warm so far this morning but apparently will be improving.
Have a good day all, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.

Morning all. It's a bright and chilly start here, hope you are all well.

Got a few errands to run this morning, then hope to get a few jobs done in the garden this afternoon.

Hope your family 'issues' get sorted out @Beckie76. With you on the case, I am sure they will all behave themselves in time. :heehee: Seriously though, hope it all works out ok in the end.

              Morning early people :)

Sorry to hear about your family probs @Beckie76

Don't know what happened to the spring, more like November here, dull with a cold wind.

Not much more I can do in the greenhouse at the moment, so probably potter about in the workshop.

Have a good day everyone and don't stop at the bottom of an escalator :)

                Aloha everyone,

It's another lovely sunny day  and we have sunshine and warmth (sort of) forecast for the next few days - with rain due to arrive most nights.

I hope to carry on with doing some light pressure hosing today as the new bed I want to work on is still too soggy. I shall also need to pressure hose the paintwork on the outside of the summerhouse as the painted wood has got grubby and covered in algae. I have to be careful not to blast off the paint!

Mrs Shiney potted up a load of day lilies for Open Day (as well as lots of weeding). She's doing a wonderful job of preparing the plants.

I think I shall start searching for suitable pots and trays to prepare them for the runner beans. We have nearly 600 bean seeds to propagate later in the month. :phew:

Still reducing the intake of painkillers :dbgrtmb:

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

                  Good Morning

                  A bit overcast here today.

I'm off to work soon, I'm hoping to get caught up so I can have most of tomorrow off. :hapydancsmil: I want to get the rose arch dug in, extend the flowerbed  & do some more tidying up :dbgrtmb:.

                  @Trunky & @Zigs thanks :grphg: I'm sure I will get everyone under control :paladin:......eventually!

:hapydancsmil:Shineyland lilies :hapydancsmil: I think I might neeeeeed some of those :yay: sounds like the garden is coming along well @shiney , please be careful, don't over do things :)

I'm looking forward to planting up my pots & baskets :dbgrtmb:, I will give it a few more weeks before I make a start on those, they will start their life in the front porch, before moving into the greenhouse.

                  Onwards & upwards :hapfeet:

                  Have a good day :spinning:

                    Goooooooooooooood morning WW'er :spinning:

Glorious sunshine here today, just came in from sitting in the arbour with a cuppa :coffee:
It may be a simple case of: he isn't truly aware that your mother is aging! I know my brothers suffered that particular strain of "age blindness" with our own mother. Good luck with your chat. Your family know you well and will understand that it is only down to how much you care (about them all!) :grphg:

Healing vibes for those who need them and miles of smiles for all xxMxx

                      Good day everyone,
@"M" is absolutely correct about the age blindness. My sons still think of me as a 40 something year old.:snorky:

I told one grandson to call me when he needed a lift to work because it was forecast to be a cold and damp morning and it is a nearly 2 mile walk to work. Shortly after 7 he called and I simply threw my overcoat over my pyjamas and picked him up. I had forewarned him that I'd be pretty rough but since I was quickly dropping him at the entrance, he needn't worry about his co-workers seeing his old grambo in her jammies. He was ever so grateful and happy that as an added bonus I will go back and pick him up at the end of the day. I need groceries there anyway... :)

I will be working most of the day today. I want to push through as much work as I can while the days are cloudy and cold. Which it is forecast to be for the next week or so. :doh:May need to also consume chocolate to keep my spirits up...

There are some fun old movies playing today that I can listen to while working - an old Ollie and Hardy, a Johnny Weismuller Tarzan movie and other old gems. Should be a good day!

I hope everyone has a nice a day as I am going to have and of course, a safe one :)

                              Good Evening Folks,

I'm very pleased to say that my niece was picked up by her mother at 12 today, she has gone home & my mum is resting :blue thumb:, my brother is keeping a very long profile....apparently I'm on the warpath & he's probably next for a lecture :heehee:, I've decided not to speak to him for the time being, I'm working on the less is more rule! I think the Beckie stare next time I see him will be more than enough! I basically brought the boys up so they know when they are pushing my buttons & when they need to duck!
@'M' & @CanadianLori mother is only 56 ahem! But she's been a silly lady in her time & got into the wrong crowds & done some very irresponsible things, as a result she's a lot older than her years, me well I'm full of youth!!!! :heehee:
Thanks for reading my worries, isn't it amazing the difference 24 hours makes hey! :grphg:

                                Aloha everyone,

I think that they may only be some of the common ones. Not anything special. I think that Mrs Shiney is working on some special ones for next year (dug up by someone and given to us but we're not yet sure what ones they are)- if she doesn't decide to plant them all in our garden :noidea:.

@Beckie76 I'm pleased that it looks as though your lectures have worked :blue thumb:

I got some more pressure washing done yesterday :blue thumb: but am being careful about how much I do. :)

No rabbits have appeared on our main lawn since I 'dealt with' the myxy one last week. Sarafi hasn't been doing his job very well. All I find him doing, sometimes, is staring intently under shrubs or standing looking bemused at the holes the rabbits disappear down.

He did tell me, in no uncertain terms, that he wasn't happy with me pressure washing when he wanted to get across to the greenhouse for a snooze. He came up behind me and was really telling me off and when I wouldn't stop working he slunk off around the back of the summerhouse and appeared at the front of it, hiding from the spray behind a big pot and sticking his head above the edge of the pot yelling at me. So I stopped the washer and he then strutted across the garden to the greenhouse.

I think that I'll do some more washing and also some mowing today - but no more than an hour without a long break.

I've a busy week coming up. Bridge matches every day (some 30 or 40miles away), treatment on my back and leg, chiropodist, cooking for the students on Saturday and then theatre in the evening and a family dinner party (50 miles away) on Sunday. In between all that I have four meetings and need to start getting posters about Open Day out and around the villages and towns. :phew: Isn't retirement so nice and relaxing! :rolleyespink: :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

                                Aloha!
