    Aloha everyone,

Yesterday turned out to be sunny but chilly in the wind and this morning is brighter but cold. There's the smell of rain in the air.

We're working hard on preparing for Open Day and the posters should be delivered from the printers tomorrow. Then it means delivering them to all the villages around and persuading places to display them.

All the helpers are now lined up except we're short of one person to do the entry on the 'door' on the Sunday. We've had one offer but it's from someone who hasn't learnt how to smile or be polite!

Entertainers have been turning up to check out facilities. That makes a welcome break from routine as they usually want to have a look around the garden.

If it's not too windy today, or too wet :fingers crossed:, I'll try and get some more pressure hosing done.

Off for treatment on back and leg later this morning. :blue thumb:

I hope that those of you that are not too well get better quickly. :grphg:

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

        Good morning,

Chilly wind here, but it's not raining so I can't complain!

Headache is refusing to go, it's a lot better than it was thank goodness, another early night tonight then hopefully that will shift it. :fingers crossed:

@liliana, it's nice to hear from you, but I'm sorry you aren't feeling yourself :grphg: I wish you a speedy recovery

Buttercup is up this morning, I lifted her out of the nesting box & gave her some wet mash she seemed happy to stay with the rest of the flock....bet the little monster is back in the nesting box now my back is turned!

@shiney, it sounds like you are well on the way with organising this years open day at Shineyland , it seems to be creeping up quite quickly now. :blue thumb:

That's coffee break over so I'd better get on, enjoy your day everyone :grphg:

Good Morning everyone, So many trees here yet to start to unfurl their leaves, cannot say I blame them. Normally a lot of blossom out by now but only one blackthorn on the green in bloom. Spring is a long time coming this year! Shiney, sounds as though everything is going well for the Open Day, will very much depend on how well or otherwise I am come the day whether I shall get there this year. But I wish you the usual success that you always manage to achieve.

WOO, hope you and anyone else suffering are feeling better today. Have a good day everyone, hope the chucks are all ok. Stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.

              Aloha everyone,

@moyra We all hope you can make it this year. :grphg: Remember that, as you have a blue badge, you can park in the driveway :dbgrtmb:. So you won't have to do any walking down the road. Jenny will be here again this year :blue thumb: but she's coming by train.

It was a tad frosty this morning  but the sun has already got rid of it.

My back is almost better but the leg is still being a problem. so I can't do any weeding or lifting . The treatment welt quite well and I'm forcing myself to not hate an attractive young lady putting her hands at the top of my inner thigh ;). I suppose I'll just have to make another appointment  :snork:

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!

                Good afternoon,

It's a beautiful bright day here , chilly breeze but the sunshine has been beautiful :)

I had to see a client at work today, I was lucky enough to be taken around her garden for a wander, it is beautiful full of wonderful spring flowers :snorky:.

I order another kitchen Aid gadget yesterday, it's a processor but it also cooks, steams, boils, purées, stews, my mind boggles! Im going to try it out & if I'm not happy with it, it's going back!, I will let you know what happens!

I'm looking forward to some gardening on Sunday, I'm ignoring the weather forecast! I'm thinking of investing in some waterproofs! :heehee:.

@moyra, it would be lovely to meet you & Amber, I hope you are able to get to Shineyland this year :dbgrtmb:.

Better get back to it. Have a good evening all :grphg:

                      Aloha everyone,

It rained in the night, which was good as the garden needs it.

I went out to a garden centre to buy some pea shingle (amongst other things) and a very nice lady, that worked there, loaded it into the car for me. :blue thumb: :old: Mrs Shiney needs it for the 18" alpine pots that she making for Open Day. They always sell well. :dbgrtmb:

Although I'm, not allowed to lift it I was able to slide it out of the boot onto a barrow (Mrs Shiney barred me from getting it from the boot but I was able to do it fairly easily - whilst she was busy with a patient ). I then put some of it into a large pot, with holes in the bottom, and washed it with the hose. It's amazing how much sand and muck comes out of it :rolleyespink:. I've moved the washed shingle into buckets ready for her to spread on the surface of the compost after planting up the pots.

Instead of buying more Kitchen Aids you should get one of these

Blast! Foiled again! :th scifD36:  Does a Lilo get classified as an offshore asset? :heehee:

Off to see 'Woman in a Van' tonight, at the village hall. It has had brilliant revues in the local papers and has been sold out all week.

Keep well and have a great day

Good Morning everyone, doesn't look very nice out there this morning. I shall have to face it with Amber though. Had a bad night again, so much for Chinese chicken curry and egg fried rice.

Have a good day all, hope you can manage to get out onto your gardens. Stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God bless.

Morning all. Hope everyone is well, or feeling better.

I won't be getting much done in the garden today, we're doing an airport run later, picking up my daughter and her fiancé from Gatwick. So that means negotiating the delights of the A12/M25, on a wet Saturday, at the end of the Easter holidays - should be fun. :rolleyespink:

It will be lovely to welcome them home though, he proposed to her while they were on holiday and Mrs Trunky is just bursting to see the engagement ring and ask them all about it.

Have a good day everyone and enjoy your weekend.

Good evening or should I say good night?

Wet day here today & it's very chilly here tonight :hate-shocked:.

This evening I've been playing with my new toys! I've made a chocolate refrigerator cake (there's so many calories in that it's going to work with Kev on Monday:heehee:), pavlova & ice cream :dbgrtmb:. @CanadianLori the ice cream was easy to make, but it's not a quick procedure, it's freezing as I type! Tomorrow is tasting day :dbgrtmb:

I just have to pop into work in the morning, then the rest of the day is mine :hapydancsmil:, I must do the housework but I also must finish putting my roses in.

I hope you are all tucked up in bed, night night sleep tight :grphg:

Good morning! The kettle is on and it is time for coffee. Hope all of your mornings are also good and relaxing!
