    Aloha everyone,

No mist and no Gorillas. Just a touch damp out there. :blue thumb:

@liliana Have a happy birthday :dbgrtmb: :grphg:

@Zigs Are you at Mellstock today? :rolleyespink: :snork:

We had an interesting evening at a horse display. The was at the home of someone who's a member of a horticultural society we go to. We saw some lovely horses.

An Irish Cob was looking magnificent in his well groomed long hair. His tail was brushed out very wide, almost 3ft, and just missed the ground by a couple of inches. His hair around his fetlocks was also dressed out to quite a distance. He was quite a sight when galloping around the manege.

We even saw a 26 year old film star . Alright, it was a horse but was a stunt horse and famous as a jousting horse. I can't remember the film name but he was the horse of the king in the film.

A girl of seven did some very clever riding as well. Her mother told us that she's brilliant on a horse but has only just learnt to ride a bike. :)

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

          Good morning,

We've had quite a lot of rain over night, but it's bright & warm so I can't complain. The garden looks very lush after all the rain :dbgrtmb:.

:wub2: Yesterday I went to see my new man (my Nephew) golly he's cute :wub2:. He's so heavy for a new born baby, he seems to like a cuddle & is very content. There was a little bit of panic with him yesterday, his heart rate was high & he seemed to be having some breathing issues, with my brothers heart problem everyone was on tender hooks to say the very least, but the midwife seems to think it's all to do with the speed which he was born & the mucus not clearing on his lungs & in his nose :noidea:, anyway he's home & has now thankfully been given the all clear :hapydancsmil:. His sister is thrilled to bits with him :imphrt:.

@liliana, I hope you have a lovely day! Happy birthday my friend :grphg:

Best I get on, enjoy your day everyone :grphg:

Happy Birthday @liliana ! I hope your day is bright, clear and warm. :)

It is sunny here but chilly so it is a good day for going across the border. Driving with the vehicle heater turned up on a chilly day is always nice.

Take care and keep safe everyone please.

                  Aloha everyone,

The sun is shining again today but yesterday's rain stopped the repair work on our patio, but didn't stop the weeding. :blue thumb:

I don't expect to get too much done out there today as I have a lot of meetings.

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

                      Good afternoon,

:phew: I seem to have had a really busy morning :thud:. I had to go to the Bank this morning, I'm having troubles with my online banking, we'll blow me down with a feather, I only needed to pay a bill out of a specific account, I can't tell you troubles it caused, the questions I was asked, did I want this, did I want that.....Noooooo I just want you to pay this bill for me so I can get on with my day, 45 minutes later after having to wait go see a personal banker (which was totally unnecessary) & again refusing overdrafts, credit cards, reward accounts, savings accounts, an app for my phone, the bill was paid, I have to say it was really stressful :gaah: I know these people have to ask so they can tick their boxes but blinking heck! :rolleyespink:

Beautiful day here , the birds are singing, the hedgerows are stunning & everything is looking very fresh :dbgrtmb:.

I got my car back on Tursday, :hapydancsmil: the garage relieved me of £542!!:yikes: Just think of the plants I could have bought with that!! :loll:It's great to have my old car back again :dbgrtmb: I can't really moan I had to have 2 new tyres, a heat shield repair & a full service.

I hope you are all well & are enjoying the weather :dbgrtmb:

Best I get a move on, this work isn't going to do itself :snorky:. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon folks :grphg:

                            Good evening GC WW'ers

I think I've posted all my exploits over the past couple of days: with pictures! :heehee:

I did attend our local WI meeting last night, but it was resolutions evening so a bit long and a little tedious. Until ... I spotted a flaw (or four) in one of the two resolutions we were expected to vote on :th scifD36: and, as it is something I do feel quite passionate about ... ... I spoke up and said I thought it was flawed and then, briefly, gave my reasons why. I returned home and said to #2 son:  didn't mean to get on my soap box :heehee:

Took Oz for a walk so he could enjoy himself prior to meeting up with his new friends (where he is teaching one of the other dogs proper "doggy manners" ) and as we went up the hill, a van drew level with me and a voice said: "Aww, lovely dog", which got my attention, "and well done you for speaking up at the meeting! We need people like you".
 Not sure if that is a positive or a negative, but I have volunteered to set up the hall for Saturday nights entertainment (plus assist with the raffle) so I'm hoping :fingers crossed: if what I said did ruffle any feathers, my willingness to be a "do-er" will be enough to counter it  Oh, and for the record, that resolution was voted against.

Anyone else having a Queen's Birthday street do in June? We are: one of my neighbours has approached me to ask if I'm going to be decorating the front of my home because there is a prize for best dressed street! Well, I don't mind doing a bit, but, I've never decorated for a street contest before so I'm at a bit of a loss on what/how  :dunno: And if that wasn't enough, they would like me on their table for the ball ... nice! ... except, we have to go in '40's dress up (for which there are also prizes)! Well, not being funny, but after a year or few of rationing, I doubt very much that anyone would have been around that was *my* size! I did point out I had an Eeyore costume for dress up (and I'm sure he'd been invented by the '40's), but they just gave me: the look! So, I think I'm going to have to do some research on this and see how I might be able to "wing" it  Who ever said living in the countryside was calming and relaxing? They need their head examined! :roflol:
