    Aloha everyone,

It drizzled a little in the early hours but is brightening up now and we shall have a sunny day. @wiseowl apparently you are getting this morning's estuary weather and it will be very sunny by lunchtime.

This morning I have the last bridge match of the season in one of my leagues. Then, this afternoon, I hope to be able to pressure hose the summerhouse as I think that the doves have abandoned the nest. I'll have to climb up and check.

A robin is now making a nest in the greenhouse  That's Sarafi's territory :yikes:

I picked up the hanging baskets yesterday and they have done much better than I thought they would :hapydancsmil:

Mrs Shiney is doing a brilliant job of digging out and then regrouting the patio. That was Michael's job but as it was raining on the day he was due to come Mrs Shiney decided we couldn't afford to wait. So she's been working on it. She does the job quicker than he does :dbgrtmb:

@Zigs you can wear your kilt - as long as you wear your undies as well! :heehee: Although I'm not sure how that will go when you get up there dancing with the belly dancers.

Keep well and have a great day.

    Aloha!

Wet and windy here today, still, means only the GH will need watering :)

                Afternoon everyone. :spinning:
Just keeping my head around the corner of the page.
Things have been a bit hectic with me at the moment. Having to sort out the bedrooms, l have to arrange separate rooms to give me some space to myself.
It's rained all day, luckily l did a lot of sorting out yesterday so I had plants ready for Sunday boot sale. I am only going to take plants, this year l had a good success rate with seed, consequently l am overun with plants. You just cannot win.
I am getting on better with my painkillers, my spine is, however, very poorly, l have every hospital department helping me, l cannot fault them at all. I just have to learn to cope. I know when to take it easy, and when to rest.
Anyway I hope you enjoy the weekend, what's left of it. Hubbies watching the football, l have my earphones in listening to Radio 2.

                :imphrt:

                    Gooooooood morning WW'ers :spinning:

Mother Nature is watering the garden for me this morning so my morning walk has been delayed for a little while. When I do come back from the walk I've got planting to get on with. Yesterday morning was the village plant sale. They asked for volunteers for setting up so I put my hand up and was told to be there for 8am. I duly arrived at the appointed hour only to find, most of it was already done :dunno: So, I milled around for a bit. Then, I helped a couple of people bring in their crates of plants from their cars and then they set about "arranging" them, so, I wandered around a bit more. Decided I'd get the cups and saucers out but then the tea ladies showed up and I was surplus to requirements there too :heehee: And that is how the rest of the morning went  Ah well, at least I offered and it did give me a preview of what was for sale so I knew where to make a bee line for when it started at 10 :snorky:

Healing vibes for all who need them and miles of smiles for all  xxMxx

                      Aloha everyone,

I've just got back from opening up the village hall for the cycle race people. I think they have well over 100 cyclists competing.

Yesterday's promised rain didn't arrive so it's lucky I put the sprinkler on the veggies we'd planted out. Today shall be warm and sunny but I'm playing a county match against Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire so shall be indoors.

I'll try and get some more mowing done before I go.

                      @liliana I hope you're feeling better :grphg:

Keep well and have a great day

Good morning everyone, the sky is a little less overcast at the moment but still believe we are in for more rain. Hope everything is going to plan Shiney. WOO hope you are keeping your nest dry and warm. Lili, see you have been busy again even against the odds of the back standing up to it.
Have a good day all, take care, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God bless. :wub2:

Need to fix the gutter, hardly any of it made it to the water butt yesterday

                                Aloha everyone,

The promised rain didn't turn up (stopped less than a mile from us) so it's sprinkler day today. Sunny this morning with a chilly wind.

We won our county match yesterday :yahoo:

Lots to do today but I need to get an emergency appointment with the chiropodist. Nothing serious but I'm getting a bit of trouble under my big toe because I need some of his special insoles for both my pairs of shoes. He makes them out of some self adhesive padding to accommodate where my toe gets sore. It only takes him a few minutes. I can only wear walking shoes nowadays (since the big problem with my foot the other year) and have only found one make that suits me that doesn't bring out my foot rot again. They cost £130 a pair and I always buy them in the Lake District because it's the only shop that lets me try on a number of pairs of the identical! shoe and pick the two I want. They're all the same model and size but they seem to fit slightly differently :noidea:

Keep well and have a great day

                                Aloha!
