      Morning early people :)

Best wishes for all those under the weather :)

Very light rain over night, not enough to do any good

Need a thunderstorm to fill the water butt.

Have a good day everyone :)

          Aloha everyone,

It's an over cast but mild day. :blue thumb:

@wiseowl I'm sending you some of my bouncability. :blue thumb: I can't use it all as my back is still delicate but a lot better so I have to stick more to bobbing up and down. :heehee:

@moyra good luck with everything :grphg:

We have a lot to get done today as we shall be busy all next week with friends being with us. So it's going to be a tough week enjoying ourselves, going out and about and eating at restaurants all the time. I suppose someone has to do it! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I'm going to start on removing the dead lilac flowers. With nine trees and some of them being 15ft tall it's not an easy job. :rolleyespink: Using the extendable cutters is hard on the arms after a while :old:

Keep well and have a great day

          Aloha!

            Good morning,

:hapydancsmil: This morning I have breaking news!.....my cat :cat-kittyandsmiley:who is approximately 19 years old & as deaf as a post has caught Mr Rat-a-tat-tat :heehee:....well I hope it's Mr Rat-a-tat-tat & not his friend!. He's always been a super rodent killer but recently his health hasn't been up to scratch, I hope this means he's feeling a bit better! :fingers crossed:

It's been a lovely morning here the birds are singing & for now it's bright.

@wiseowl I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling under par :grphg: I hope you soon feel much better.

It's the village party tonight for the queens birthday, apparently we are having a bonfire?? I can't quite see why unless it's Guy Fawkes night why you would have a bonfire, maybe I'm missing something?!

@Zigs I hope you get some rain :fingers crossed:, I could do with some too, the garden is very dry, I have been watering but everyday but it doesn't seem to be doing much good.

@"M" have a great time today :hapydancsmil:

@shiney I hope all is well at Shineyland :dbgrtmb:

@liliana, I hope you & hubby are doing ok? :grphg:

Best I get a move on, I see to have a lot to do today :hapfeet:. Enjoy your day :ccheers:

                  Good day everyone
I am presently doing a rain dance in between hoovering and tidying and watching my show online. The weather guessers told us we were to get some free water today but so far all I can see are white fluffy clouds. Not a water jug to be seen in the sky anywhere. Like @becky I think I will need to start the watering systems again. I had also hoped for rain as I wanted to test the rain barrel. It had a leak down round the spout and I fixed it yesterday - at least I think I did and a little rain would have been nice to test it.

Have a lovely day all and those on the mend, please get better and those who are well, be safe!

Thank you for asking after me @Beckie76 :grphg:. I am ok thank you, but took 3 months off, to read my sat nav manual. During this time, I was posessed by a demon in my sleep, and took up a new hobby of naked garden hopping. I don't think there is any link between the two though.
The neighbours weren't impressed, and that flippin climbing rose at number 6 put me right off :yikes:.
Sorry I missed you all at Shineyland :frown:, butt, and it's a big butt..... I hope you are all ok :dbgrtmb:.

Good Afternoon WW'ers and what a 24hrs it has been :phew:

                            ...
                            ... Aww, thank you!

Last night was the ball and we all turned up at a neighbours first for "Inspection" :heehee: It was wonderful how most of our group had gone with the 1940s theme and everyone looked smashing! The ball itself was a real hoot - lots of dancing, plus some dance demonstrations. The most comical part, for me was, Mr "M" being encouraged to have a G&T and liked it so much he had one or four more :heehee: Not a problem aside from: he does not drink! So, I ended up with a Squiffy Spiv on my hands  :roflol: Many of the other guests went with the "Dress To Impress" theme with the women wearing gowns/dresses and the men wearing suits (one even in tails!) and they all looked very glam!! Towards the end of the evening I decided that not having a dancing partner needed remedying (Mr "M" wasn't quite squiffy enough at that point) and outside I had spied a broom :ideaIPB: So my Land Girl Ego went back into the dance hall and danced with the broom in total contentment and much to the amusement of everyone else. But, it did the trick, people stopped taking themselves too, too seriously and our group then got together a conga and we danced and danced; ball gowns and fancy dress all mixed in together :heehee:

This morning the parade should have left the hall at 11am, but someone clearly couldn't tell the time because they streamed passed at 1040hrs, on their way to the village green, just as I was finishing getting ready  We followed them up (no fancy dress for us today, just dressed in red, white and blue ;)) shortly after.

Only a couple of hours in and they decided to announce winners. But, unbeknown to me, they had inserted a new category: "Best House". Some people had really put in an effort. One sloped garden had a fake waterfall arrangement with red, white and blue (real) flowers running alongside it: very effective!
So ... *drum roll, please* ...

                            10 June 16 041 (450x800).jpg

... I won it  :thud:

And, to cap it all off: we won Best Dressed Street too :dancy: :yahoo: :dancy:
That trophy is with one of the other houses for now (so, no photo, but I will get one and then I can make a scrapbook double page of the day).

Tomorrow is another day of fun and frolics and then Monday, I think, will be a rest day :phew::heehee: (well, apart from the BBQ we've been invited to :noidea: )

@Beckie76 - if you have half as much fun tonight as we had last night ... you'll have a blast! Well done to your cat :cat-kittyandsmiley:

@moyra - I've just had to have work done on my car after it's MOT too so I know how you feel :grphg:

@NorthantsGeezer - good to see you posting again!

@shiney - :love30: you are a real hero putting yourself up for eating out and enjoying yourself in the name of hosting guests :star: :heehee:

Healing vibes for all (special bouncibility bounces for Woo) and miles of smiles for all xxMxx
