Yawn,yawn, wakey, wakey 2017

Aloha everyone,

Had to rush out earlier, waited for the frost to go, and went into town to get some keys cut and a new battery for Mrs Shiney's watch. Also popped into Sainsbury's and they already have their Christmas music playing . I didn't mind too much as I was in and out quickly - but did mind that I didn't get some of my bonus points promised. The computer rejected them and the supervisor agreed with the computer. So I've just emailed their customer relations . There are not many points involved but I told them that I'm annoyed.

Talking about different pods. When we were on holiday we went to an oriental restaurant and they gave each of us, as a freebie, a bowl of hot, salted soya pods. They looked more like pea pods but the beans inside were more like broad beans. A very nice appetiser.

The sun is just going down and it's time for me to start making another big batch of chicken soup. Sarafi shall soon be knocking on the door.

It's a bit dreary this morning but much warmer at 49.5F.

Sarafi is happily sleeping in the greenhouse but it's amazing how quickly he wakes up and comes demanding his chicken wing the moment I touch the handle of the back door. He smelled the chicken soup cooking yesterday and appeared out of nowhere and was knocking on the back door.

I'm busy organising Christmas parties for the bridge clubs and sorting out some special lessons for the new year. Putting the finishing touches to the Annual Dinner and Dance in January and the Quiz in February. I also need to work on arranging all the weekly events for the annual calendar for 2017.

Keep your chickens indoors for the next 30 days and take care of them

Much milder this morning

I think I shall do the rounds of visiting my ex-staff today, and get a haircut, before they get too frantically busy for Christmas. They all work in different places but I should get to see about eight of them. Lots of hugs and kisses never go amiss - it's a hard life!

I've got the first of the Christmas parties tonight - a bit early but not one of the clubs that I run.

Sarafi got a bit cheeky yesterday . He came begging for food three times! He usually only gets no more than one treat a day (sometimes no treats at all for a few days - depending on what we are eating). He got a chicken wing in the morning, nothing when he tried begging at lunchtime (although it's not easy when you get something like this - and he makes a sound like a baby crying)


and he got a cuddle from Mrs Shiney in the evening (she'd been out all day) and a wing tip.
