Good morning one and all, not so foggy this morning. My pc is playing up a bit, don't know what has got into it.
Have a good day all, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless. :wub2:

        Aloha everyone,

@moyra I hope your PC gets better soon. Maybe it has got foggy in the head. :heehee: Take it easy out there as it's a bit nippy this morning. They're forecasting a bit of frost tonight.

We've gradually been working through the tidying up in the garden - it only takes a year :snork:. I'm still working on clearing moss from the flower beds. I've now done 15 buckets full and only part way through the front garden. Mrs Shiney has been tidying the nursery area at the back of the summerhouse which means removing the four hundred plants, tidying and/or repotting them, cleaning the area and replacing them.

One of the blowaways (that is kept there) has had it's cover fall apart, although it's in a sheltered area, and it's only a year old. It's a pity because the framework is sturdier than the other style but the cover is rubbish (I told Mrs Shiney that when I was putting it together). The other blowaway is as good as new :blue thumb:. Fortunately we have another of the good blowaways waiting to be put together. The good one was a gift for all the work we do in growing plants for charity. When I was putting it together there was a part missing (I made a part for it out of a wire coat hanger) and phoned the supplier about it and asked for a new part. They told me that they don't do spare parts but to pop into the store (Homebase) and just pick up a new one and keep the old one. Excellent customer service. :)

Michael turned up on time, brought by his mother as his vehicle is still not fixed, and worked hard. He did some of the heavy work and then cleaned out the gutters on the summerhouse and the house and hosed them down :dbgrtmb:

Today I need to get a lot of paperwork done and try to find one of my library books (got 12 of them) that has disappeared under all the clutter in the house! I'll try and get a bit more mossing done today (I use the word 'mossing' to mean removing moss and not as the current common vernacular for lazing around :snorky:).

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

            Good morning fellow WW'ers :spinning:

@moyra - hope you manage to sort your PC out (could some dust have got into the fan area?)

@wiseowl - all ok this end, thank you - hope you are t(w)oo

@Zigs - the man in the electric chair didn't moan about low voltage :nonofinger: Hope you get the sunshine you need to perk your batteries up :blue thumb:

@shiney - hmm, lost library books cost money in fines ... hope you find it in time :dbgrtmb:

Well, I was up before the larks this morning and a foggy one it was too! Drove #1 son to work and managed to get him there in time enough to have a cuppa if he'd wanted/needed but he chose to get stuck in straight away :pathd: The drive home was far more interesting :rolleyespink: I successfully missed the turn off (narrow country lane) which linked the two main routes and merrily drove on until I could find a sign post pointing me in a direction I recognised
In all, an extra 20 miles added on to my return journey :heehee: Not that I'm complaining, oh no :nonofinger: I've always enjoyed discovering new places and new routes ... may have even been pretty had it been daylight and without the fog  :dunno: So that's Route B, "the backup plan" sorted :heehee:
I need to do the same again tomorrow morning, so I'm hoping it won't be quite as foggy :fingers crossed:

Feeling a bit weary now, so I might just have a little inspection of the inside of my eyelids, just to make certain they are functioning correctly

Miles of smiles and positive vibes for one and all

                Hello Everyone,

Just thought I'd pop in & say Hi. I hope you are all keeping well? All ok this end. @shiney Kev's arm is back to normal :dbgrtmb:, Mrs Shiney is a superstar :star:. He's not had a nose bleed since Hannah sent the tablets....so she's cured that problem too :ThankYou:.

My brother had a set back with his recovery :thud: & we ended up spending a night in hospital but thankfully after lots of checks he's now doing well.

I've been busy sorting out my hens due to the avian influenza, I've been scrubbing the run floor with poultry sheild daily & poo picking at least twice a day! :phew: So far so good I think! :dbgrtmb:

I will pop in again when I get a spare min.

Love to you all, take care
                :grphg:Xx

yes it really is worrying me I just hope it doesn't spread further, although I think we all know it's going to be very hard to keep it contained :hate-shocked:, I'm in the lap of the gods & I'm hoping for the best :fingers crossed:. Interestingly poultry keepers abroad were not told to keep their birds in , with something as serious as A.I I would think a complete lockdown would be the best way forward....what do I know hey!

                        Morning early people :)

Well, this is about as dark as it gets, winter solstice tomorrow:yay:

Glad to hear Mrs Shiney's still working her magic, she grabbed hold of my bad wrist a few years back and I grew a new one :)

Christmas shopping today :yikes: As I think i'm working the rest of the week.

Have a good day everyone and keep those Chickens safe :chicken:

                            Aloha everyone,

Yep! 10.44 a.m. :dbgrtmb: Then it's approx. a shift of 2 minutes per day for a while.

                            That's good news

It's cold but dry here so I shall continue clearing the moss in the flower beds in the front garden. Twelve buckets so far and it's beginning to look as though I'm getting somewhere. :)

Today is the start of the bridge club Christmas parties (actually had one last week but not a club that I run). The club provides the drink, members provide the food, we play bridge but mainly a silly form of it and there are prizes given (wine, chocs etc.)

As this afternoon's club is likely to get around 90 people turning up the food should be interesting. It will be all different types of savory and sweet stuff with some home made and some bought.

The other parties are Wednesday and Friday evenings.

Keep well and have a great day

                              Good morning fellow WW'ers :spinning:

Another very early start in the house of "M" today but thankfully no fog to contend with on the roads :phew: In fact, I did so well today driving #1 son to work in no fog, I found the turn off that I missed yesterday!! :hapydancsmil: Home in time to see the first of the neighbours on their way out to work and it was quite a nice feeling to know that I was coming home :heehee:

Had a wonderful walk in the woods with Ozzy today, no one else was about and he was in a really playful mood too; he's not a dog who enjoys playing with toys/balls when he's out but he does like a game of hide and seek, chasing squirrels, chasing rabbits and chasing trains - all of which were out and about aplenty first thing :heehee:

The weatherman promised some sunny spells today, but they haven't happened yet; disappointing because the washing doesn't dry well enough on the line without it (or, at least a decent bit of wind). Not to worry, I've heard there will be strong winds and rain hitting from the west in a few days time, so then it will be batten down the hatches!

Miles of smiles and positive vibes for all xxMxx

Sunny here :dbgrtmb:. I needed it because I've been chemical spraying the patio (says it's not harmful to wildlife or plants :th scifD36:) as the pressure hosing doesn't really get it clean. It says that we need four hours of no rain. :fingers crossed:
