          Good day everyone
I haven't been around because my best friend passed away last week and also another friend. Since I made all of the funeral arrangements and subsequent i.d. for my friend plus attended a funeral, the home quietly told me that perhaps the way things are going, I need a name tag...

I must clear out my bff's friend place and so I will probably not be back here regularly until I've finished.

I hope everyone is keeping well and safe and wanted to share this..

This pic cheered me up a little this morning- I want one of these!

            Good evening fellow WW'ers :spinning:

@shiney - hope your furniture shop with Barry was successful and you all enjoyed a tasty lunch :blue thumb: Also, thank you for the recipe

Thank you, woo. Wouldn't call mine "spiffing" exactly, more like "slipping" and I think the look on my face (at the time) bore the least resemblance to a "smile" that a person could get. :heehee:However, by the time Mr "M" and #1 son returned home, I was able to laugh about it (so they knew no different ;) ). I took quite a whack this morning tripping over the step between the kitchen and dining room, landing full force on my knees. Gosh it hurt! Worse, I was stuck there, like a lemon, on the floor for a good few minutes before I could finally straighten my legs without pain, shuffle back to the step so I had a bit of leverage to get myself back to standing position again  There was an awful moment of realisation, while I was laying prone on the floor, that: a) I didn't have a telephone handset anywhere near me; b) what if I can't get up again; c) why didn't Ozzy *do* something!; and d) good grief, where did all that dust come from under that radiator cabinet?!! :hate-shocked: Once up and fully mobile, those dust bunnies were swiftly evicted! :nonofinger:

Thankfully, the garage were able to fix the problem with my car, so that put a big smile on my face :dbgrtmb:

            :grphg: My condolences, Lori :grphg:

:lunapic 130165696578242 5: Me too!!! :loll: That is so funny :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Miles and smiles for all xxMxx

                Aloha everyone,

@"M" I hope only your pride was hurt :grphg: Good news about your car. :dbgrtmb:

The shopping trip with Barry was successful. :blue thumb: He tried out about fifty settees before we started negotiating for the one he preferred. I persuaded him (didn't have to work hard at it :)) that he should pay extra to have it with electric rising foot rest and recliner. As he's unable to sit for too long he also has to keep changing position and lie on the settee. This, then, makes his hip and side painful. So he will 'now' (15 week wait!!!) have the facility to press a button and change his position.

The shop wanted the full payment :nonofinger: but I ended up just paying a small deposit. It wasn't a cheap product at nearly £800 but the shop next door had the same thing at £1,800

I'll try and get a bit more gardening done today but it's difficult when the frost never goes.

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

M hope you are none the worse for your fall. It took me nearly a week to get over the fall I suffered the other week.

My Condolences to you, I know what you're going through, I lost a good friend of mine a few months ago ( he drowned suddenly whilst on holiday in Portugal ), we had been friends over thirty years ever since I started my first job.

I am finally going to get around to starting some pansy seeds. I had put the seeds in the refrigerator the other day so now I'm ready to play :)

I hope everyone has a safe day. :)

                              Aloha everyone,

It's very cold outside but nice and snuggly inside :)

It will be an interesting morning. A friend has phoned and said that he has a very nice, and large, grass that he wants to get rid of and we can have it if we dig it out. They have a small garden and it's getting out of hand. They can't dig it out as it's a bit too much for them (they're in their late 80's). I hope that it's only the surface of the soil that will be frozen.

Update this afternoon - I hope. :old:

Keep well and have a great day

                              Aloha!
