    Thank you @Flumpy . I am remaining optimistic. She is only 28 next week and I refuse to think that she would succumb.

      Steady drizzle today and I have my three month delayed chiropodist appoint this morning. I've been told to wear a mask, not allowed in without it, and not to get there early. I must wait outside until the time for my appointment.

      On the way back I'll pop into the village and if there's not a queue outside the bakers then I'll buy a fresh loaf. :blue thumb: I'll need some sustenance after being weakened by having my nails cut. :heehee:

          We had a bit of rain during the night...dry now but grey.:sad:

          Don't you find it ticklish @shiney ?? I don't think I could bare having my feet fiddled with and often wondered how people coped with going to a choropodist. I hated having all the preliminary examinations before having some of my toes fused in my both feet. Do you just get your nails clipped or the full works?....I think I'd have a fit of the giggles .:roflol:

            @Upsydaisy I normally have them done every six weeks. Nails cut, hard skin removed and smoothed, any incipient corns removed and them generally kept looking like a babies feet - but much larger. :heehee:

            With what he does I'm able to walk for miles if I want to. :blue thumb: I can't do it myself because I can't get to them properly. :noidea:

              Good day
              I'm off shortly to buy some night clothes and toiletries for my granddaughter. The hospital says I can drop off a bag for her and they will get it to her room. Just waiting for the stores to open. I don't know her current condition so hopefully will get to talk to a nurse or doctor.

              I also go to see my wine guy today and since he is near the fabric shop, I will be getting some fabric to make sleep shorts for my granddaughter and maybe some for me.

              I had some other things to do on my list but those will have to be transferred to tomorrow's list.

                      The glaziers said they would drop off the pane of glass for the greenhouse today. I asked them to do it more carefully than that. :heehee: I've got the dust sheets ready - one on the ground to place it on and another over the top to rest it against the wall. It needs to be stored upright and at 5ft it needs careful looking after.

                      Hopefully the new framework will be made tomorrow. Two sections of 20ft long timber needs to be fixed in place first.

                        @shiney that sounds like a great day for you. Getting the greenhouse fixed will be wonderful. :)
                        I've got a busy day ahead of me too. Lots of little chores such as laundry to do and also head out to the shops.
                        My granddaughter says she is feeling quite a bit better and it sounds like they are testing everything. By the time they're done, she'll know what parts of her body don't have any issues!

                              I spent most of the night reading the 69 pages from the government of new guidelines for opening the village hall.

                              It stopped raining around 3 a.m. and the sun is just coming out. I've picked loads of courgettes and am about to pick some runner beans and rhubarb.

                                It is going to be another hot day but then expected to cool after tonight.

                                I'll be picking up some things to take to the hospital for granddaughter and then I need to work on the high pressure watering system. One of the heads is leaning and I need to dig down and get it straightened.
