        Aloha everyone,

@moyra bites are doing well (a few new ones :noidea:) and the ones between my toes are drying up nicely, but still can't walk too much (that's my excuse :heehee:).

done a couple of hours in the garden this morning before it gets too hot.

        Keep well

        Aloha!

Been out and done most of the essential garden tasks for today before the temps rise beyond my comfort levels.

              Good day
Another sunny day has presented itself. I did my stroll around the back yard whilst the kettle was on the boil and pulled a few weeds and happily noticed that lots of my newly laid grass seed along the hillbilly side of the yard has sprouted and if I'm lucky will quickly fill in where all of the invading weeds were.

I'm taking Sam for her CT scan this morning and then this afternoon I visit my wine guy to pick up this month's libations. Always a lovely half hour or so chat. He and his wife travel a lot (well, not at the moment) and have great stories and pictures of places they visited. During covid, we're talking about that instead but no matter the subject, always a pleasant visit.

Hopefully in between, I'll have time to do a little tree trimming. :fingers crossed: And I have various court forms to wade through to help someone with a filing they need to complete.

Have a lovely day all and keep safe please :)

                  Aloha everyone,

Overcast but very warm and I shall pop out to pick beans shortly. That is now taking half an hour to an hour every day and will gradually get longer throughout the month. I leave the courgette picking to Mrs S as I'm allergic to their leaves (and tomatoes and conifers ).

If she feels up to it I shall cut her hair today. Depends on how hot it is by the time she's ready to go out. :)

                  Keep well

                  Aloha!

                        Good day
Another lovely sunny day is in the works here. Yesterday it only got up to 80f and will probably be the same today but it is dry so it is very pleasant!

How exciting, I have several loads of laundry to do .. But when that is all done, I shall get to play outside. I had experimented with growing cucumbers in on of the small greenhouses and they were not happy in the intense heat. Even though I threw shade cloth over the greenhouse, the plants were producing mutant cucumbers so I figured I might as well pull the lot and clean it out. I will station Sam by the outdoor wood oven to bake the dirt from those pots whilst I clean up the mess I made pulling things out.

Other than that, just another puttering Saturday. ;)

                            Aloha everyone,

I didn't get a chance to cut Mrs Shiney's hair during the day as it got too hot and smelly out there. They have been muck spreading the field opposite our front garden. By late evening the breeze picked up and started blowing away from us so we quickly went outside and I got her hair done. Sarafi decided to take part in the process which slowed us down quite a bit.

We have friends coming for Sunday dinner today so I hope the muck spreading smell has gone as we shall be eating in the garden (still not allowing anyone indoors). I have our usual guest entertaining area ready under the pergola with the seating at the table at least three metres apart. It almost certainly will be too hot there so I have also set up smaller tables in the part of the garden that is completely shaded by trees all day long. If the worst comes to the worst with regard to smell I have reluctantly set up tables in the summerhouse where we shall have the doors and windows open (government guidelines recommendation :rolleyespink:) and the aircon on full blast (profligate with energy but the solar panels are providing it :noidea:).

One of them has multiple allergies but I have managed the menu to be a normal Sunday lunch :blue thumb:. Most of the possible cold starters were a no-no for the allergies so we have cream of veg soup made yesterday (courgettes, toms, gluten free veg granules and thickened with homemade yoghurt). Roast organic chicken thighs (no flavourings just in case), roast home grown potatoes (taken from a friends allotment), runner beans (freshly picked this morning but cauliflower for the allergy person - no green veg allowed), followed by apple and blackberry (picked yesterday) crumble (gluten and sugar free) with Greek style Yoghurt, and chocolate pots made yesterday (don't know whether she can have the pots but we shall have them).

i'll prepare the veg after breakfast. :)

                            Keep well

                            Aloha!
