Sounds good @shiney . We never feel like eating much in hot weather let alone cooking, we just had freshly picked tomatoes in balsamic vinegar with garlic, freshly picked basil and black pepper on toast. Posting this makes me want to have the same again today too. :heehee:

      Morning all :spinning:

Same as yesterday here, warm but grey sky  they got the forecast wrong here, but it doesn’t stop me gardening as there’s a nice breeze too.

Shiny we had Sunday roast yesterday it was yummy, hope you have a good day.

Upsydaisy that salad on toast sounds nice, I might try that :dbgrtmb:

Moyra hope your bite heal quickly, there’s lots of flying ants at the moment.

Lori glad to hear your granddaughter is improving slowly, hope her blood results come back ok

I have the aircon on in the kitchen whilst cooking.

Although I use tomatoes in lots of the cooking, fresh toms don't agree with me :dunno:. Not keen on salads either so I usually have hot meals every day. :)

          Good day
Sounds like everyone but me has their dinner planned. I do have pasta salad prepared and the ingredients for a chicken caesar salad but I can't decide what else to put together. I'll probably figure out something whilst puttering during my show this morning.

I hope everyone is having a pleasant Sunday. And I also hope Jeff "gets his lumps" in this morning's episodes :heehee:

No sleep at all last night due to the heat, I've done the daily gardening tasks before the heat and my tiredness fully kick in.
                Have a lovely day everyone.:spinning:

                  Good day
@Upsydaisy it was hot and humid here too but luckily the air conditioning made things pleasant for sleeping but I still woke up tired! I really prefer cool nights with the windows open for sleeping. That will come soon enough so I'd best enjoy the hot days while I can.

Sam and I go back to the hospital to be given the results of her CT scan and blood tests. She still looks very sickly so I'm worried that something nasty is still keeping her down. :fingers crossed: if there is something else going on, it will be simple to cure.

Other than that, it will be a day of puttering. And perhaps it's time I got into action and started collecting my seeds for next year!

Have a good day all and please play safe :)

                    Aloha everyone,

I got the usual harvesting done early today then all I've done out there is move the sprinkler around. Two pigeons that were having a shower under the sprinkler weren't happy with me! They were sitting under the shower and alternating lifting one wing up and then the other as though they were washing under their arms.

just going to start cooking my dinner for tonight. Cream of courgette and broccoli soup, roast chicken (from yesterday), new spuds done with mint (just going out to pick it) and fresh runner beans, followed by a bowl fresh plums, with melon and pears (going out to pick the pears as well).

It was still 95F/35C out there at 7 p.m. :phew:

                    Keep well

                    Aloha!

The sun is out, the sky is blue and we have another hot day ahead of us. Fingers and toes are crossed for drop of two of rain later in the week ....but I won't bet on it.!!

Busy morning in store, have to attend a medical app with my brother.

Phew!! Jump out the shower and by the time you dry yourself and clean the shower.....you feel like you need another one!!:exhausted:

                      Enjoy your day everyone.:spinning:

                              Good day
The skies are getting more crowded with dark clouds and we may just get the water the guessers have promised us. Both rain barrels are full so I don't need more for them but I always welcome fresh rainwater for the lawns.

It is 76f with a nice breeze as well and very pleasant for sitting with my morning cuppa. Yes, I am a bit late as I woke up in the middle of the night and was restless and couldn't get back to sleep until I had read some 50 or more pages of my Ngaio Marsh (can't remember the spelling) mystery with Insp.Alleyn. I think I already know who done it about 50 pages ago but it is still easy reading :)

I take Sam today for another blood test and she will be given a sample bottle to collect some "apple juice" to return tomorrow.

And once again, it will be a lot of puttering. @shiney, I will be, like you, harvesting some more runner beans but unlike you, only have the one bush so none to share and I have had no problem eating them all

I have some ground beef that needs cooking and am having a brain freeze about what to make with it. Hamburgers are out as we've had lots of those lately. Ah well, I'll figure it out!

Have a lovely day all and do please play safe :)
