A bit late here as I baked those butter tarts, made my son's lunch, cleaned the kitchen and go bread dough going before coming online. I take Sam for some blood tests today and then we pick up the prep kit for her colonoscopy tomorrow. That is, I believe, the final invasive test she will have to endure.

It is cool and a bit cloudy. A nice break from the heat and humidity. The guessers say thunderstorms later and heat coming in again for tomorrow. The plants must wonder what the heck is going on!

I've got a friend popping by later too so I best get my skates on and get things tidied.

Recipe- 18 tarts

3 eggs, 1/2 cup corn syrup (glucose/fructose,water, fancy molasses- is what the ingredients on the bottle says) pinch of salt, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 tspn vanilla. Beat it up. Add to tart shell to half full. Bake @375 15 to 20 minutes.

I add 5 raisins to each tart shell (only 5, don't soak up all the moisture) I bake 16 minutes, we all like them runny.

Good morning all, I hope Sam is on the improve. Had another bad night, shall be glad when I get this leg and hip right. It is the leg which is to blame for the hip on the opposite side. It kept going into spasms I had to rub it with Deep Freeze cold relief gel. It helped. Thankfully my shoulder is a little better. Anyone got a shotgun, they shoot horses for less.

Morning @moyra , I can totally sympathise with you, my aches are normally bad in winter but for some reason they have been with me in varying degrees of intensity all summer this year. I am planning on re-joining an Aquazise class again once they are back up and running. Pain is so very miserable.
