    Good day
It is cloudy and cold. So I'm going to spend the day inside. :)

I'll be crushing hot peppers whilst my beloved Corrie is airing. I hope Jeff gets his this week -and yes, I did write this last week and the week before and so on. A very long running storyline...

And I'll be baking some bread and doing some tidying. Just generally slouching around the house :blue thumb:

Have a lovely day all and please play safe :)

      Good afternoon all!

just got back from the hair dressers, there was only me there, it seems quite strange with no magazines to read, but it does encourage people to talk to each other more, also this am I’ve been packing My glass vases, still got lots more to do.
Lori can you send some of your bread this way please :spinning:

Yes, @Flumpy , here are some of my cheese buns. I'm always surprised at the might of the yeast as the buns still rise even though I double up on the amount of cheese in the recipe!

I'm thinking of making some cupcakes today too. I think you call them "Bunny" cakes? I recall something like that from a Midsomer episode where John Nettles consumes some cakes baked by an elderly couple who also dosed them with cannabis :heehee:

I once ate a slice of chocolate cake with my friend, unbeknown to me, it had cannabis in it :yikes: I remember thinking why are my legs feeling funny :heehee::heehee:

@Flumpy I'm glad it worked out okay but I never give anyone any CBD unless they know in advance and ask for it. It sure takes away my hip pains on those occasions when I need relief :)

Made the cupcakes. Chocolate with chocolate frosting. Didn't want to put the mixing utensils in the dishwasher as is, so gave them a thorough licking first

              Aloha everyone,

Went shopping early this morning and home by 6.30. We have my sister and b-i-l coming tomorrow for dinner as it's his 80th. @CanadianLori you may remember that he's the one that sang at our open garden
              AS 07 - 9882.jpg

My sister isn't 80 until next year.

Back in the 50's and 60's we were all into folk music (they sang semi-professionally) - mostly American folk but a reasonable amount of British and international. In those days you were able to mix socially with the performers (even pop stars) without any security having to protect them. :noidea:

              Keep well

              Aloha!

                    Good day
@moyra I hope you start recovering soon. Hugs and healing thoughts from me :grphg:

@shiney yes, I remember them. Very pleasant to listen to. Hard to believe they are more than 65!

I am getting in gear today to get most of the dog bed sewn. This thing is huge. I think I mentioned it is in the shape of half a stop sign but to give you a visual, it is 60" wide and 54" from to back. Lots of cording to make but I'm raring to go and get it done :blue thumb:

Sam has an appointment with the immunologist at the hospital today so after we get back and if I've been a productive woman, I'll be outside moving things around and putting bulbs in for next year. Some pepper plants are so slow, they still haven't flowered so I know it's too late now and will probably pull them out of their pots. And Sam always loves working the wood stove and baking soil for me

Have a lovely day all and do please play safe :)

                        Good day,
@Flumpy we are expecting it to pour tonight and tomorrow and then be sunny again for a few days and in the high 60's to low 70's. Perfect for working outside.

I'm working on getting things transplanted before the rain starts so that the watering in gets done by Mother nature. The ground is still pretty wet from Sunday and Monday's rain so this is wonderful timing for me.

I got that big cushion done and had the wrestling match to get the foam into the new cover. Good workout :rolleyespink: I'm following my son to take some court paperwork to the notary to have their magic stamp put on them and then son will leave from there to go to work and I will head to the library to scan the documents to email myself. I think I mentioned we bought various partial yards of quilting cotton and she is having a hoot making masks with it. Lots of nice colours and patterns for her to play with and that is most likely what she'll be doing whilst I'm out getting the paperwork sorted.

Then Sam and I have some other bits and pieces to do. I will be doing some more garden work and she will be baking more soil. She loves have a fire :blue thumb:

Have a lovely day all and please play safe :)

My district nurse didn't turn up again this morning. So i think I shall tell them not to bother.
Steve has taken my urine sample up to the docs and is going to tell them not to bother about my blood sample, if they cannot be bothered to come, then I don't see the point of getting upset myself. I hope Sam's checkup goes ok @CanadianLori and everyone else is ok. take care and stay safe. God bless.

                            Good day
@moyra I too find the various health services frustrating in that there is no consistency amongst the way their workers operate. They have been trying to coordinate things over here (and our health system is much the same as yours) but they never seem make all the connections seamless.

Thank you for asking after Sam. She is pretty sore right now. I think she is pushing herself too hard to get back into shape and has pulled some muscles. I have told her no more soil baking until she is comfortable again.

It is cloudy here and supposed to rain all day. The garden will welcome the free water and I have lots to do inside so I am not in the least bothered with it. I do have to go out and do some shopping but I may just put that off until tomorrow. This weekend is our Thanksgiving weekend and I will do my usual turkey dinner etc. It's always a nice meal because so many vegetables are fresh in from local farmers :)

I hope everyone has a lovely day and do please play safe :)

                              Aloha everyone,

Yesterday it was dull in the morning and afternoon. My sister and b-i-l came at 6 p.m., dinner was ready by 6.30 and then the heavens opened. I had to get the food from the kitchen to the summerhouse :rolleyespink:, so I put everything on a very large tray (with covers over everything) and wore a coat with hood. Sarafi came out of the summerhouse and walked with me so Mrs Shiney had to wipe his paws before he was allowed back in :). Then it stopped raining

Meal went well, evening was good. :blue thumb:

Today was very sunny and I did two hours of pressure washing, after picking beans and apples. My back is aching a bit but OK. I've just made a chicken soup from the two carcasses from the two lots of entertaining and will have some soon as I finish this post. That will be followed by home made cottage pie with runner beans. Then I have an on-line bridge match. :phew:

Tomorrow Mrs Shiney has some old friends coming for lunch so I shall be cooking again in the morning.

                              Keep well
