Aaawe Upsydaisy I Hope next year is a easier year, time will heal and help you get stronger again, I’m sending my big hugs to you and your family :grphg:

My family are well, my hubby has had a cold and left with a cough but no temp or loss of smell, so I’m doing the grocery shopping today and washing. The house is dragging now with solicitors waiting for replies from each other (why can’t they just ring each other instead of waiting for emails).
It’s been Cats and dogs here what’s it like in your area? :spinning:

Yes the same here too ,very dark and wet.

We hope to complete on our parents property soon but the buyers trying to drag it out.....their priority seems to be securing a place in the local ( and very good) school.
While we act as caretakers during the coming months looking after the property and fish.......no way!!

            Good day,
Spent my morning with my beloved Corrie and swinging the iron again. It weighs 7 pounds so not for wimps.

And I got all the ironing part of work done and ready to start sewing, hemming and pleating. Very pleased to have got done and enough time for a cuppa before I take Sam to the medical place to have her bandages changed. I let the nurses take care of those because I'm worried about doing anything near where the tubes enter her body. I am now used to flushing them and the other stuff so we only need to visit the nurse every 3 days. And we have several doctor's appointments over the next few weeks. I think they realized the error of not paying prolonged attention to the situation

On tne way back I'll be stopping in and buying some burgers and sausages to barbecue for supper. And lunch making supplies for son's lunches this week.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Oh, and yes, lawyers love to drag things out over here too

Over the years, I've eaten lots of seafood. To be honest. Althogh seafood is considered good for you, most of it I find is almost tasteless. A few weeks ago, I had a lobster. It hardly seemed worth all the effort of breaking it and tediously drawing what little meat from it. Crabs, you get more for your money, and the preference between the dark and the white meat. Aa a kid, we always used to have seafood for tea on sundays. The chap would tour the streets with his barrow and shrimps and winkles. Then from Woolwich market, you could get net bags of muscles. These would be boiled on the cooker and stink the house out, sometimes pearls could be found in them. Then there was cockles. OK oysters are famed to be good for you, but many seafoods you simply swallow and they don't touch the sides. In most cases I have found that, the preparation and additives, even vinegar on the cockles makes the flavour. As for squid and octapus. That's like trying to chew rubber tyres. Still. Each to their own.

                  Aloha everyone,

@Guy Greening what were all the seeds that you sowed? They may all need different growing conditions :rolleyespink:

@Mike Allen we don't like seafood (in the recognised meaning of shellfish as distinct from fish). We rarely cook any fish at home as we definitely don't like the smell of it cooking. I sometimes cook trout or salmon but not at all often. Having said that, I have smoked salmon for lunch a few times a week. In the old days smoked salmon was quite expensive but nowadays it is cheap.

I intend to get quite a bit done in the garden today but shall wait a while for it to warm up. The sun is coming up into a completely clear sky . I hope to take down the rest of the runner beans and the ShineyFrame it's on. That will take a few hours.

I picked up another 50lb of windfalls yesterday so there will be a lot of cooking and freezing to be done.

                  Keep well

                  Aloha!

Shiney. I also eat plenty of fish. Although salmon is good for you, I find it rather bland. Trout is very tasty.

                          Good day
I agree that octopus, squid etc are as nice as the eraser on my pencil. I do like a nice piece of sole or halibut or salmon and I tend to only have it in the warmer months so I can cook it outside and not smell up the house. And of course once in awhile a tuna sandwich is lovely.

The guessers are telling me it is raining but it is still too dark to witness it myself.

And today I start sewing and also take Sam to the hospital for an outpatient visit with the immunology specialist. Then put together a meat loaf and and assemble in a casserole dish, scalloped potatoes for supper.
