Just beginning to knit this year's Christmas figures for my great nephews to add to their Xmas trees.
        Starting off with some Penguins.

The wind has picked up again and howling out there.

Hope you enjoyed your dinner @Flumpy .

I'm preparing myself mentally for tomorrow when house clearance arrive to start emptying out my parent's house, I have to be there for 9am so probably won't be posting before I head out.

            Good evening
Been busy again. Barely able to stay within hearing range of the television to listen to my beloved Corrie!

It hailed a little while ago so it was a little unpleasant taking down the halloween decorations but that's done for another year. And lots of little chocolate bars left :heehee:

I'm going to be up and out early tomorrow but will try to drop in for a cuppa before I go.

            Cheers :coffee:

                Good day
We're only 4 hours apart now as our clocks fell back an hour on the weekend.

It's a typical windy, cold October morning with some clouds still blotting out the sun. But we are promised a big change come Wednesday. We'll have daytime highs in the 60's and mostly sunny. The last of the hot peppers in the heated greenhouse may just finish ripening and be ready for me to pick before the next cool down. :)

Need to get in gear, it's another busy day for me.

                Cheers :coffee:

4 hours apart Lori!!!.....more like a couple of days!!!:heehee: We had a typical November morning here!

Well very emotional day for my sister and myself as we knew it would be .The house is now empty ,we just need to wipe the cupboards out and hoover tomorrow. The clearance team have the shed ,garden bits and bobs, both greenhouses and the dreaded garage to clear tomorrow , I really pity them!!
Fingers crossed they won't run over and need Wednesday morning too. They have been brilliant and have treated all our parents life story pieces with great respect. With their cheery banter they helped lift our spirits during this very testing time.

                          Aloha everyone,

I went out yesterday evening, after the gales subsided a bit, to clear up the storm damage. Collected well over 100lb of windfall cookers. Some are already bagged up and waiting for people to collect. Some will be delivered to people in the village that live alone and can't get out.

Intermittent monsoon and sunshine at the moment.

                          Keep well

                          Aloha!

                            Good day
It is still a bit cloudy but we're in for a warm day. Right now it is already 40f and the guessers have said it will go up to about 64f. Lovely. And it's going to continue being nice for the next four or five days

I've got some cushion covers to do today and they are with lovely fabrics so will be a joy to make these. And I take Sam to get her wound re-dressed. We're hoping when we see the surgeon on Thursday, that this tube will get removed :fingers crossed:

There's lots of laundry/housework to do in the mornings and I plan to be outside getting fresh air as much as possible in the afternoons when the sun floods the back yard.

Have a lovely day all and :coffee:

Hope everyone is well and had an enjoyable day.

I spent 9 hours over at my parents place today ,things didn't quite go to plan as one of the trucks broke down and that has set us back a bit . So a 3rd and hopefully :fingers crossed: final day over there tomorrow.
I was wrong in saying that the house is empty yesterday as all the auctionable items are now stored in the dining room as they will be taken separately and all monies given to Cancer Research.

As the items couldn't be taken today we couldn't get in the room to do a final clean so it wasn't worthwhile doing the hall either....jobs for tomorrow!!!!, as well as sweeping out the now cleared garage and a final check on the two now cleared greenhouse too. Then it's a final reading of meters before my sister and I have a few quiet moments together once the clearance team have gone to wander though the empty ,silent rooms that have provided us with many happy memories of our beautiful family home of 50 years. Then a final goodbye to all the Koi in the pond....some are quite old and although they are fish...to us they are ...were our family pets !!:cry3:

We are leaving a box of Chocolates and a Welcome card wishing the new owners as much happiness and joy living there as we all had.

                              Then the door will close.

The day I have dreaded will then be finally over.:spinning:
