Good morning all. Have a good day and stay safe and well. Shiney when I used to make about 200 holly wreaths for the nursery to sell I used to get all my rings and wires and crosses from Covent Garden about 4am in the morning I used to go. Didn't do my hands any favours!

 

Moyra wow that was a lot of wreaths, I bet your fingers where sore when you had finished

It's just starting to lighten up now and the sky looks clear so far. I need to get the rest of the soil baked today. The next three days are predicted to be sunny days, also be the last mild days, I have lots of other outside work to do so I must get it done now.

Of course I'll start the fire and baking whilst my beloved Corrie airs 6 episodes this morning

And I'll be baking some bread too - NO , not in the same oven as the soil

p.s. Our remembrance day is on the 11th. I will be out that morning but at 11 o'clock, I plan to be somewhere where I can have a moment of silence to honour those who fought for our freedoms.

I've used them in the past for labels etc.

 

we will be doing our silence on the 11th in work too, we always get one plonker walks in the shop and blurts! Excuse me!

Got a busy day. It will be warm - 73f and sunny so I want to get the soil baking and yard clear up at least 1/2 way done today (tomorrow is expected to be the same weather-wise) but first I am taking Sam to the hospital for an ultrasound. A painless and non intrusive test is always an easy one

@shiney those wreaths are gorgeous. I feel like I want to make one too....but I've got too many other projects that I need to finish before starting another one

Grey skies here...but mild and damp. The birdies are singing.

The horrid neighbours came and took their van away and not left another vehicle here. Theyve also ceased work on their polytunnel after a site visit from enforcement. Could things be looking up for us??

Today I will carry on up the lotty and level off some of the muddy path section, lay some weed supressant and put stones over it. I also need to relocate the compost bin and make room for a water container. I should also order some guttering for it.

But to start off i'm going to do half hour of pilates.

The sun is out !!

Hope to get time in my garden today, It's been sadly placed low on my list of priorities of late.

Housework and trying to sort out appointments for my brother was the name of the game yesterday, so hate it when people say that they'll 'get back' to you shortly.....and you end up hanging around the phone all day. I gave up on one after being promised just that at 9am and ended up phoning then again at 5:15pm!

How can a Post Diagnostic Alzheimer's team send someone their next app for Tues 17 October 2020!!! My poor brother is highly confused at the best of times!!!
