    Good day
@moyra I hope your son finds it in himself to step up and help out. I can't imagine the disappointment I would feel if either of my boys or my grandchildren were taken with that attitude. I feel the same as @Snorky85 , I'd be out in a flash with your shopping list if I lived nearby :)

Sam is still in the hospital and will not be coming home for a few days yet. She is safe and has a private room with television, wifi, can control the heat in her room and order food any time she wishes from a tablet hung over the bed plus she has a private washroom with shower, etc. There is also a small vestibule between the hallway door and her room. Pretty posh. I feel like moving in with her!:blue thumb:

It is supposed to get warm (51f) later today and tomorrow. I plan to be outside getting the last of the leaves and dead plants gathered and off the ground because we are expecting it to get very cold and snow this weekend.

I've also cut out a lovely cardigan with a gathered back
upload_2020-11-19_6-44-13.png in a navy knit for Samanthan. I've cut the sleeves extra long so that I can put those little openings for thumbs in the cuffs. I also cut out, in black knit, a raglan turtle knit top upload_2020-11-19_6-47-1.png for myself. All set for the weekend when it is too cold to be outside and I can stay inside and sew.

I hope everyone has a lovely day. :coffee:

        Aloha everyone,

It was another sunny day today and I got a fair amount done in the garden.

New neighbours moved in yesterday and they're a nice couple with a young family. He now owns my old business!!! :rolleyespink:

        Keep well

        Aloha!

Hope everyone has survived the week well...the weekend is nearly here!!!

Heading into town this morning to do the shopping, haven't done any for over 3weeks now so we need to restock a bit. Thankfully fresh fruit/veg and salad keep exceptionally well in the garage. One of the positives of cold climes I suppose.
This afternoon I have 2more forms to try and tempt my brother into helping me fill out....:fingers crossed::biggrin:

@moyra I hope you have managed to arrange some sort of assistance with your shopping.. If not then leave your computer on with this thread on screen.......we'll shame your son into pulling his weight and taking on some responsibility!!:dbgrtmb:

            Good day,
We have been promised a fairly sunny day so I am excited about getting outside and finishing fall clean up.

I got everything done on my to do list yesterday plus cleaned out one of my pantries (@Snorky85 inspired work) and got rid of expired items. Really? Did I really need 2 boxes of graham cracker crumbs? Which I never even opened!:doh:And many more items..

Did an incredibly stupid thing yesterday. Stopped for petrol on the way to visit Sam and after pumping my tank, noticed I'd left my keys in the vehicle and the doors were locked. Had to walk two miles home to get my spare set :doh:I think it was karma as I had eaten some of those little chocolate bars left from halloween and the gods were making me walk them off.

I did have some good luck with tracing a wiring problem with the battery operated fans in one greenhouse. And today's sun will ensure all the batteries are fully charged. :)

@Upsydaisy I'm glad I cleaned out my pantry as, like you, I stopped to pick up a few groceries in the way home and would have bought more stuff I don't need.

@shiney I have lots of peppers still to crush and freeze and I think of you everytime I open the fridge door and see them waiting. I'd better get the lead out!

Have a lovely day all :coffee:

Oh no Lori can't believe you had to walk two miles to get your spare keys!!! Lol

No gardening stuff today...it's too wet out there.

i needed to get out the house...it was essential for my sanity. Went to wilkos to get two tubs of bird fat balls and came out with this lot...

and my old fashioned pickwick christmas lights came on the post today. So I'm going to be doing christmassy decorating things today. I'm not usually this early with christmas stuff but as this year has been so poop, I thought I would make the conservatory into an old fashioned style christmas room

I've got christmas songs on and festive scented essential oil burner on the go. :heehee:

Oh dear . My car won't allow you to lock the door if the keys are inside - apart from if you lock it manually from the inside whilst the doors are closed. :noidea:

I think I was so stressed with all the goings on that I might have actually hit the button on the top of the door interior. Don't know but I usually take the key out and if I lock the vehicle, use the fob to do it! Oh well, walked off the chocolate bars and got fresh air. And I did the walk (each way) in less than 20 minutes so I don't feel too old!

That's one of the few modern devices I like in newer cars. You can't lock the doors unless they are already closed. I can lock the car by touching the door handle from the outside but not if the keys are in the car.

A couple of things I really don't like are that it tells me, every time I get into the car, that I haven't linked my bluetooth to the car . The most annoying thing is the collision alarm. If it's a narrow road and a car parked in the layby then it screams at me and flashes a large red car on my screen. It's one of the few 'assists' I can't turn off. :wallbanging:

Well, I suppose you could lock yourself out through an open window :heehee:

I locked myself out of my Mustang once but luckily the top was down :roflol:

                          Aloha everybody,

That's a thought :ideaIPB:. I'll check to see whether the car can be locked from the outside, or through the open window, whilst the window is open. I'll make sure the spare key is available and not two miles away. :roflol:

It's not sub zero this morning so may get some mowing done later.

                          Keep well

                                Morning all,

accidentally locked my keys in my car just as i was about to set off home from Lincoln...i did accidentally manually lock the door. Ended up having to smash the smallest back window and get a metal hook to pick up the keys. We'd looked up the cheapest window to replace on the car. Was quicker and cheaper than waiting 3 days for a car locksmith to come and do it. :heehee:
