Merry Christmas to everyone! Lots of the white stuff on the ground and things looking so pretty.

I put fresh water out for the birds and they have been visiting the feeder all morning. Of course they won't pose for a pic so here is my view without them!

        Cheers all!

Our little scamp is worryingly quiet @moyra ........what mayhem could be surrounding him, I dread to think!
On the other hand he could just be having a lovely day.
Nevertheless his quietness is a little unnerving.:heehee:;)

Lovely pic Lori...we could be having 'snow' ( but not as you know it:heehee:) on Monday.:fingers crossed:

At first glance I thought I was seeing the tail feathers of a very large red and white bird, then it dawned on me that it was the Canadian Flag.

Morning everyone, and no, I haven't just got up!!!

                  @Flumpy ...I think we've scared him!:dunno:

Had an amazing day ..all things considered .
I had it all planned out so as to keep me busy and not dwelling on all of the 'bad' bits of the year.
Started off with a video chat with my older sister, before she headed off to one of her daughter 's for the day.
A bit of gardening in the morning, Then a scrummy turkey dinner.
Around 1pm our eldest called for a video chat, and 10 mins into it our youngest arrived to have dinner with him..:hapydancsmil::hapydancsmil::hapydancsmil::hapydancsmil::hapydancsmil::yahoo:....now of course we are always happy and excited to speak/ video call all our children but we hadn't had any visual contact with our youngest since he came down last Christmas.....so yes a tear or two did escape my eyes!!:cry3:
The call was set up from our son's kitchen so we witnessed countless cocktails being concocted, the final stages of the Goose being cooked..the hilarious attempts they made at trying to carve it to resemble a presentable 'look' on their plates.:roflol:

Then we were the onlookers to them enjoying all the numerous courses that our son had prepared for them both ( his girlfriend has gone home to her parents for a couple of days...so it was a lads get together:whistle:) ...the outcome scored an unanimous :awesome:.

Our youngest had also make a mulled wine chocolate cake on Christmas Eve ,that too scored top marks. Their kitchen antics certainly made us laugh. We then made our own coffee 's and tipples and settled down for a fabulous natter ....as the light began to fade we all suddenly realised it was gone 5pm.....over 4 hours video chatting...the time flew by!!!:yikes:

After saying our goodbyes ( and mopping up more escapee tears:cry3:) we discovered we had missed out middle sons and girlfriend 's invite for a video link up...so we settled down for that one too didn't talk for so long his time as they had planned a late dinner and still had bits to do, but as we had already spoken with them during the week this wasn't too bad.
Finally settle back just after 9pm and reflected back on what had ,surprisingly, been a very happy day...in a strange way.:xmasyay:

                    :oopss:...sorry @Flumpy ...what did I get?

                    Money, to treat myself.
A stunning pair of gold drop earrings.
                    A beautiful Pashmina scarf.
A gorgeous little handmade shoulder bag ,ideal for purse and phone etc, that my son bought during his Asian travels earlier this year.
A tin of handmade crackers and flatbreads....which even included cheese recommendations for each type.
And a selection of Artisan Chutneys....
                    Tin of Shortbread.

                    I feel truly spoilt.:wub2:

                      Good day
Sounds like everyone had a good Christmas in spite of the virus. Good on us!

Today was "everything" collection day. Rubbish, recycle, everything so I dragged it all out to the kerb through newly fallen snow. About another 3 inches of very powdery stuff.

Sam is still slumbering and I've got laundry started which will be done before she opens her peepers. ;)

It will be a day of puttering about. Lots to do but nothing urgent. A lazy day

Oh wait, no, I just realized that yes, it is Boxing day so I'd better get my soil blocks made and the chilli pepper and onion seeds sown! All good fun

                      Cheers all :coffee:

I didn't care for Grease but I really got a laugh out of MIchael where Travolta plays a big angel who is a bit of a slob. Good fun!
